- I swear this was all synced when I uploaded it. Old TH-cam codecs were awful and this is actually considered SD. I'd like to actually go back and redo it, but I'm missing all of the separated orchestration and harmonization parts now. If anyone has them and wants to help me, I'd love to hear from you. Reach out. Seriously, you'd be doing me a huge favor.
Back when I made this it was done it Premiere on the timeline with about.. 8-10 tracks and stock audio transition, speed, and fade/crossfade effects. I believe I used audition for some reverb assets. There were also some additions from myself put in with audition after recording on the studio equipment at work as I wanted a more wide-sounding chorus section for Emil-Despair. My voice was in the perfect frequency and HZ bracket to just widen that vocal depth.
Otherwise everything here was from the original orchestrations in-game. All I contributed was remixig, revocalizing and adding background layering of my own voice. I know things now I didn't know then, such as.. buy a damn metronome. Ah well. - เกม

Square Enix did Yoko Taro and Cavia so badly that I have nothing but disdain for them. Nier automata wouldn't have ever happened if platinum games didn't help. That's the real tragedy.

Quick question in the very beginning how did you incorporate just the string instruments and piano without percussion? That sounded really nice and I'm not sure if I can't find it elsewhere.
Hey! I found a breakdown of each instrumental track somewhere on youtube a few years ago. I don't know if I can find it again, but it is out there for all the tracks in the original Nier. Good luck!

Jokes aside, this is really well done😁
The vocals sound a little out of sync in some places, and the transitions into different songs and jingles are a bit choppy and makes the song lose tempo, but I mean beyond that the remix sounds pretty good and is super faithful! I like the tone you're going for.
EDIT: Okay it got REALLY rough towards the end... I mean I still stand by in saying that it's a nice nod to the song/series, buuuuut it could use a lot of tweaking.

I think your vocals, even at the beginning, is late. Could use around 100-200ms adjustment.

This era of youtube had some fun issues when it came to encoding that caused stuff like this to happen. Nothing I can really do for it unfortunately. I don't even have the source files anymore.
