The thing with the Germans is not a Nazi joke, Germans who go on holiday to these resorts tend to stay in these regimented little groups of intensity, not mixing with other holidaymakers. Another big stereotype is when hotels have a pool with free sun loungers for guests, Germans are known to go out to the pool early in the morning and put their towels on loungers to "claim" them, then go back to bed.

I got so much nostalgia from this, I was 16 going on 17 when it came out. It did capture the mood of that whole clubbin scene perfectly, going to Ibiza, or Ayia Napa was a right of passage, I went almost every summer in my 20s, can't remember much apart from my best friend on the 1st night dropping some acid and freaking out because he thought I was a garden gnome and I was chasing him.....good times

18:35 rave culture in Britain was something else. Especially early 90s.
You used go into a phone box (one of the old ones with BT written on the side, another nostalgic British thing) you would then find a card ontop of the phone with a phone number on it.
You'd ask your mates for change then ring the number, the person on the other end would tell you which junction on the m25 (like I95, a highway basically) the come off at to find the rave.
    Those were the days.
Also if you like rhys Ifans, hes really good in "mr nice" a biopic about Britain's most prolific drug dealer.

A lot of place names in Europe are pronounced (by us Brits) by their local pronunciation. In Spanish, z is 'th' so phonetically it's kinda like E-beetha. But we're not consistent, like the word/dish paella is more like (local language) pay-ehy-ah but a lot of Brits just say paella with the hard 'll's. Greek names can be tricky and Polish, Russian, basically Eastern european names are often impossible for British. I lived in a city called Rzeszow and literally no one (in the UK) could even come close to it, so don't worry about it - we're hit and miss too!

From the music sound track arranged by DJ Judge Jules to all the special locations you could only find in Ibiza from reading MIXMAG i.e beach's, DJs playing venues etc.. And not to forget the Germans, yes they stuck out like saw thumbs lol. I can remember going to KISS and DJ Toucher... Full of crazy Germans, Only myself and my friend were the only English (none Germans) there..
On and there was that scene where Eye ball Paul was questioning Kevin and Perry taste in music.. Sash or Chicane lol if you was a serious underground clubber you could have got that scene!!

🇬🇧 Dont know if anyone has commented this but
The actor who played the Vicar at " Kevins funeral" is called
    Kenneth Cranham.
The bank manager is, i think
    Called Gary Waldren.
I remember when, this film came out & everyone quoted bits from it, it was a hugely popular film here in Uk
Well me & some of my mates were drinking one hot summer afternoon & we were in our conservatory, they dared me to go out & shout loudly at my neighbour who really thought he was hot stuff...! 😝
He had red hair & so i drunkenly
Staggered to my fence & an shouted over to him
" Yooo Whooo Ginger Pubes "
Then noticed he was at his garden Patio Set having a business meeting with his work collegues...
I dont know how they kept their laugh in, he was furious & i was laughing like a donkey, drunk as a skunk & fell & tipped over the fence to land in his garden, legs akimbo & my dress over my head, still laughing while he went beetroot red & really lost his cool.
It was brilliant because he took himself so seriously & thought he was a male model, his clothes were all designer, ironed to perfection & shoes polished like a mirror! A neat freak to boot
    His carefully practised Mr Cool
Went out the window after my fiasco & he literally got up & screamed at me, then picked me up by my dress hem & threw me back over my fence...
I was in hysterics & his work collegued were helpless with laughter ( they obviously thought he was a tool too)
Then he went into his house & slammed his door, leaving his work minions helpless with raucous mirth!!
Everytime he saw me after that he actually Tut Tutted at me
    What a prick!
Got to say i use the other quote from this film
    Sad Act
To describe someone ( well, abit like Ginger Pubes, my neighbour)
Someone who thinks they are the
Bees Knees but are really pathetic
Yep Ginger Pubes & Sad Act!
    Brilliant
Cheers & thanks! This film is amazing
