Well said! It's all about discovering your own unique style and embracing what makes you happy and comfortable.
My thoughts! 100%. I love the LV Monogram since I saw the LV Noe for the first time. I was 15y old and this bag was well used and dark patined. I felt in love. I still think the LV Monogram is so classic and chic, absolutely not tacky. The definition of "quiet luxury" given by some persons on YT/IG is funny and different from my french understanding: not natural, discrete and effortless, but exaggerate and placative, with a lot of white/beige clothes ... The very wealthy people in Germany (where I live) are recognizable because of their extreme discrete behaviour and polite interacting with people and not because of the way they dress. It takes years to reach this level, not just the time to purchase adequate clothes.
Well said. ♥️
Jennifer you and your subbies shine like diamonds 💎 love this channel for its thoughtfulness and wholesomeness. Enjoyed this very much
Thank you so much! I’ve always said I have the BEST subbies here! So many kind and genuine souls.
I grew up poor, but I had a wonderful mom who made all 6 of us girls feel so special and loved. Now that I'm an adult, Im so thankful that I live a comfortable life, and Im truly blessed. I have a few luxury bags(most preloved),and I love a variety of timeless pieces.
What a beautiful tribute to your lovely mom!
Your mother sounds like a beautiful soul💐
Agree. I too know a very, very wealthy couple and they are the kindest most down to earth people you'd ever want to meet. They do not wear anything expensive at all. Their focus has always been on all the big rocks! They've taught their children and grandchildren the same things. It's wonderful to meet such genuine humble people.
They sound truly lovely.
Well said, Jennifer!
I am loving natural timeless classic pieces as well as an occasional LV logo bag. I don't think I ever followed trends, and wear only things that make me feel good and comfortable, which I do believe everyone should with whatever makes them feel good😉
Thank you! I agree
Love your classic look in this video Jennifer. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the matter. ♥
Thank you!
Well said!!! Thanks for sharing ❤
To me quiet luxury is just that, quiet. NO logos no flashy items, I wear neutral colors and every piece is tailored to my fit. I do own a couple Chanel pieces but had the buttons removed a replaced. I do not carry bags with logo instead carry brands that are well made that isnt on every youtube channel. I dont have "luxury" jewelry which is just costume at best. I have high quality 18k gold pieces from private owned jewelers. I LOVE your rock analogy and think that should be installed in everyone at an early age.
Yes, that is the classic definition. I just don’t stop myself from wearing a few “loud” pieces here and there if I fall in love with them. I find that as I age I find fewer “loud” things I love! Thank you.
I was bought up with a similar financial ethic to yours. Once you have your financial goals organised then you can allocate a percentage to “play money.” It’s important to have your present and future financially secure but you mustn’t deny yourself some fun in the present because you never know what is around the corner. The future is not guaranteed.
I have been really enjoying the quiet luxury trend because that’s the way I have always dressed so I don’t have to buy lots of new clothes or make any huge effort. I do buck the current trend in that I love bright colours, although never more than one at a time. I am very fair and when I wear all neutrals I look washed out, so I need colour.
Awwww, Jennifer! I could not agree more!🎉Loved your explanations!
Thank you!
Rich screams….wealth whispers.
Thank you. Appreciate the comparison. Loving the hoop earrings; perfect size. Can you please share the details?

Well said!! Always enjoy your videos!!!
I appreciate that!
Love this video. Thank you for sharing. I totally agree with your :)
Agree. And at this point in my life I don’t NEED certain things but I ENJOY certain things - so that is how I roll. ❤️
Me too!
Great explains, and so easy to understand.
Well said Jennifer! I am a neutral, classic, timeless fan, with a touch of the goodies , I have curated over the years, mostly logoless, but brand that can stand generations. It’s good seeing you again.❤
♥️
Jennifer what we call quiet luxury these days is so different in different cultures. With a multicultural world now, what is considered quiet luxury in one country
can be looked at as over the top in another such as US and Canada. An example of that would be women whose background is the far east, wearing several
22k or 24k gold bangles and other jewelry every day in their day to day life. For those people, that gold is just their cultural, essential every day wear and
they give less importance to designer brand items. Some of it represents their marital status just like a wedding ring is to us. Just some food for thought.
Jennifer I just love your videos and look so forward to them!! 😀❤
That is true! Well said. Thank you!
I couldn’t agree more with all that you said Jennifer 🤗
Great advice!
Awesome video with well thought out perspectives.
Much appreciated!
Loved this video Ty
❤❤❤ Looking great Jen!
Thank you!
Hi Jennifer. I loved this video. So interesting to listen to you. I love quiet luxury. So classy in my opinion xx🩷
Thank you!
Totally agree!
Smart video Jennifer!
Thank you!
Does it feel like trends are turning around faster than in the past? Speaking of trends, I never thought fanny packs, scrunchies or mom jeans would come back. I still love my LV monogram canvas bags!!! 🤎🖤🤍
Yes!! And I believe it is due to marketing (and influencers). Everything from clothing, hairstyles, jewelry, home decor, make up, etc is changing so often (so people keep buying to stay relevant). In my mind it only makes sense to find the style that suits you and stick with it for the most part while occasionally adding in a newer element here and there.
So interesting. Thanks for sharing. Love from England ❤
Thank you Elaine ♥️
I enjoyed this video and agree with you.
Thank you!
I feel like the greatest luxury is knowing who you are and what your personal style is. If your authentic style includes a piece with a logo then wear the logo. I think the problem comes when logos become a substitute for style.
I really liked the rocks in the jar analogy. It’s 100% spot on. I have always wondered how those that fritter away every nickel they earn on the latest fashion, makeup, cars, boats, trips etc., are going to fare when they get closer to retirement age. I don’t have the stats, but I’ve heard that there is an extremely large amount of our population that don’t have the appropriate suggested investments saved for retirement. I’m specifically talking about the impulsive big spenders, not those folks that are struggling to put food on the table.
I agree completely! I wouldn’t be able sleep at night if I didn’t have a very comfortable nest egg but spent money on luxury item. The important things must come first!
PERFECTLY said.
Thank you
My private jet & my yacht in Monte Carlo do not have logos & both items are very pale beige. Howzat? Well said Jennifer.
I love the rock theory!! My hubby & I went on a trip with another couple a while ago & he bought her some earrings & a ring & he got a watch , i think all together they spent about $3000 usd (we are Canadian) & all I could think was….that could pay for part of another trip lol! My hubby told his friend that I would rather have experiences than things:) & yes i think a person sometimes really needs to learn how to feel they are enough just by being themselves & not needing a “thing” to feel valued.
I have to assume that the items they buy on vacations remind them of those happy times when they are back home again…like taking the vacation home with them to enjoy every day for years. Jim and I would rather pay for experiences over things and rarely buy souvenirs while traveling but I know so many people who do!
I buy a solid gold piece of jewelry from every place I visit abroad and when I wear it, it brings back such fantastic memories of different places from around the world. Also, most of it has increased so much in value over the years as gold has gone up and up. I think a person sometimes really needs to learn how to respect other people's wants, not be jealous or critical, be happy for them and not judge them based on your own preferences.
Well done, Jennifer! I enjoy listening to you explain your perspective on a variety of topics. You’re very articulate. Hope all is well and that you’re enjoying the Florida weather. ~Christina🤗
Thank you Christina! It has been super hot here and we had a crazy tornado/hail event the other day…but all is good 👍🏻
Great video! Just curious, do you have any Cartier pieces? Recommendations? Thanks!
Good advice
Very well said. 😀💕🤛🏻👍
I think what you said was so important- but two things. 1 - truly wealthy don’t just cover expenses. They invest and build wealth. You may never see it, they may never talk about it but they do it. They have to.
And quiet luxury is not about a boring color palate. It is about someone who takes care of all their needs, hair neatly styled, skin well cared for, a nice mani/pedi clothing is clean, smells good and is appropriate to the activity. Most important quiet luxury always looks comfortable.
I completely agree!
Very well said ❤😊
Thank you!
@@JustJennifer your welcome
Great Video 👍
Thank you!
Thankyou🌷
You’re welcome 😊
Nicely put! How much more classic can you get than than the LV logo that's been around since the late 1800's and is still going strong?? Longevity is the very definition of classic. I feel you should wear what you love and not be concerned that someone you don't know and who did not make the purchase for you says it's not on trend. That's rather ridiculous..
I completely agree. Thank you
My father's analogy was..."always keep your ducks in a row." ☺️
That’s a smart man! 😊
🙌
😊
I've got an acquaintance who is very very rich, and he wears designer clothes always, and goes to high end fashion shows during fashion week. I went round his once and he was showing me his built in wardrobes. I opened a drawer, and flung in there were his chanel, dior, hermes bags. No dust bags, no display cabinates... just flung in a drawer. That spoke volumes to me... but in 2 ways... did he have no appreciation of the bags, or is he so rich the bags are his version of a Target bag and used and abused the way i would abuse a Claires accessory?
I think it’s psychological. The more you can easily obtain, the less it means to you.
@@JustJennifer yes very good point...
🤔 stealth wealth?? Really?? Maybe these people just have bland-ish style and preferences.
The ultimate wealthy person who demonstrates quiet wealth / luxury is Elon Musk.
