    I had the exact same thing happen to me while riding off-road. However, instead of bending, then entire shifter snapped off of the bike like it was a piece of plastic. About how long would you say it would be to take everything apart and replace it? I have little experience with this type of stuff.

      Sorry for the late response. I haven't checked here in a while. I hope you got it fixed. It was my first time doing this, so it took me about 1 week of winter evenings to do this. If I have to do it again, I can get it done in 1 day.

    You didn’t have to drain the oil you coulda just laid it on its side and took the clutch case off

      Bad idea. I did lay it down on the side to work on the forks earlier this year. That caused fluids to leak and got me worried that the oil would flow into the cylinder. Luckily it didn't. Don't lay it down for long periods go there is fluid in the bike. Bike is meant to be upright, tires down.
