What is Road Trip Brew-S-A?
To challenge myself and live life to the fullest, I am trying to reach all 50 US states while living in my minivan. In each state, I will
•go on an outdoor adventure
•get involved in a good cause
•drink a local beer
What is Beer in Beautiful Places?
Hi, I’m Maddie! Celebrating an outdoor adventure with a beer has been a long-time tradition for me, and I wanted to create a platform for like-minded folks to come together. In my videos, I cover all types of adventures and review beer! Topics include day hiking, kayaking, travel, thru-hiking, and life on the road. In short, if you would describe yourself as an outdoorist, outdoorsman, outdoorswoman, hiker trash, nomad, or dirtbag, come on along, this is the channel for you! Welcome and cheers!
Really enjoyed this one!
Thank you!
Thanks for taking us along on your adventures! Wow check out those Awesome rock formations! I could spend all day wandering around that area. 💕💕
Thank you! It was such a cool place to share!
HOW cool was THAT?!? I'm so appreciative for you letting me come along. 🍻
I’m glad you loved it as much as I did!! It was awesome!
I have driven by here about 8 times on my way from So Cal to NH and I've regretted not stopping .now I'm going..ty sooo muCH😃
SoCal to NH sounds like a looooong drive!
@@BeerinBeautifulPlaces yrs ago on my way here I got followed through the night by a car with Wyoming plates Ok, Ak, and Tenn..I didn't realize it at first as I had stopped off if interstate as I was getting back on the on ramp a car was pulled over with the hood up, I saw a big guy with cowboy hat standing looking at his motor as I approached him he turned his head looked right at me as I passed him in my rearview, he slammed his hood got in and drove quickly and got right behind me late at night, I sped up getting in between tractor trailer truck in the boonies of Ak, I lost him for a while, I remembered him from a store I stopped at miles before looking at me oddly in the store. Well I was scared, very, I had full tank of gas and drive thru Ak, across the might Mississippi in to Tenn..for hours..I finally stopped at a motel..and sat, no trace of him..I got a room, barracaded chair against door. I had gotten his plate #wrote it on my atlas ( before Google maps, no cell phones) called my brother here with info..my gosh..he followed me aggressively for over 400 miles.."road story's" here I am..😃🎶
You're welcome back in our state any time! Come visit Mesilla and see the old town!
Thank you for sharing. Please take someone with you, incase you fall or get into something that need another person's help. Just for your safety.
Happy Easter Maddie! What an amazing place. Can’t wait to go to NM.
Thanks, Larry! Same to you! Im excited for you that you're planning to go to NM! It was unlike anything else!
So many surprising landscapes in the Land of Enchantment! In addition to the amazing rock formations, it seems that there are no man made structures, cell phone towers, etc. in every direction to the horizon which is already mind blowing - great job!!
It was truly an amazing place!
Im so lucky to have found out about it and had the resources to get there
Did you see the Kasha Kitue tent rocks just west of Santa Fe? Another mind blower! Safe travels.
Cool - thanks for sharing
You’re very welcome! Thank you for appreciating it! ☺️
Hi Maddie, thanks for sharing a bit of New Mexico. I used to work in NM for the Forest Service, one of my favorite states. Bob
Oh that’s awesome! I considered working for the forest service at one point! Sounds like a tough job but in lots of cool places!
Thanks that was a beautiful place
It really was! Nature is so cool!
The chocolate hoodoos, especially that first site, is my favorite spot you have taken us so far. At first it looked like a village cut into the rocks.
I’m so glad you love it as much as I did!! It really did look like a village!
It was a great video Maddie it was beautiful place and thank for sharing a have a great Week..
Thank you, Jimmy! New one coming out tonight, hopefully!
Yes, very neat place. Will try to fit in when I head to California this summer.
You should! Who knows, in the future, it might be super crowded
That place is cool! There's another area to the west, The Bisti Badlands, that are as different as the different parts of where you were. They explain why New Mexico is The Land of Enchantment!!!
I’ll have to remember that!
And another place for Hoodoos is of course Tent Rocks, south of Santa Fe.
👍
Happy Easter Maddie
Its Easter Sunday here and the Easter Bunny came in this morning handing out Easter eggs.Watched your video , one of my favourite things Washouts and gullies .your looking well, I think the traveling is doing you good. Can't wait until I get
my pegleg and can get back on the road myself.
Have some fun, stay safe and drink some beer. Blue
Thank you, Bluey! Happy Easter to you too! From what I’ve observed, Easter is a lot more fun in Australia than the US. In the US, we just go to church and wear pastels. In Australia, it seemed like you got the Monday off, had a fun time with family/friends, and ate the bread with cinnamon and raisins, i forget what it’s called
Love it,the rock formations are sooo cool great job as usual, your videos are so awesome 👍👍 you are my favorite channel
Yay!! Thank you so much! I feel so honored! 🥇😊
OK now that is a really cool place! (All the more so for being unexpected ) thanks for sharing!
Yeah!! Going somewhere a lot of people haven’t even heard of was a thrill! I hope it stays that way!
Your videos are great!
Hope to follow in your foot steps next year. Staying East this summer.
Oh yay! I hope you get to, these places have been wonderful!!
I’m in Phoenix and there was a little bar here that had Santa Fe Brewing Chicken Killer Barleywine in the bomber bottles. That’s really good stuff. Those Hoodoos (spelling?) were beautiful, thanks for taking us all along for the adventure!!
Chicken Killer Barleywine?? That sound sound interesting. Probably way different than Mexican style lager!
Delivery jobs are very hard. Routes are always different and strange. I love working from home or working right from the van full on and for good......
Is this about my doordash video or my ah-she-sli-pah video? In any case, yeah it definitely sucks having to drive around a new place all the time! I’m hoping to save up so that one day I can have reliable Internet and a laptop I actually know how to work, and I can just work from my van!
those were pretty good rock formations. i know hoodos they have that at bryce as well :)
Yeah!! I just went to Bryce and was so stoked to see them again!!! Sooooo cool
Very cool beautiful place. This place and Angels peak are on my to go list for next month. Thanks Maddie.
Nice!! Enjoy! It’s unlike anything else!
Thanks for turning me on to it. It’s not even on my DeLorme.
I love that it’s so secret! I hope it stays that way!
Awesome! I especially liked the hoodoo. Thank you for sharing. I am definitely adding this place to my list
Thank you! I’m so glad to hear you wanna go there now, glad I could give you an idea!
So glad you made it! Safe travels friend on your next adventure
Your best video yet. As a New Mexican for 25 years of my life I can say it has so much to offer and the food can not be beat. The crunchy ground is called cryptogamic soil.
Oh yay!! I’m so glad you liked it! It’s not getting a lot of views on TH-cam but this is one of my favorites, too! Glad I could do your home state justice!
@@BeerinBeautifulPlaces The low views are probably just the holiday weekend.
Wow those rocks looked like a field of giant mushrooms!
Yes!!! I loved it so much!!!
Gorgeous place and beautiful weather! Perfect way to walk around and explore.
It was incredible! So thankful I got to go!
Hi Maddie. What a beautiful place. At a first glance it looked like a mushroom town. Great video, as always. Thank you for sharing your time a d experiences. Stay safe, stay healthy, stay happy.
Thank you, Pops Pops! 💜 it was a great place and I’m glad I know enough about videography to capture and share it!
Nice video Maddie are u ready for your next adventure??
If you mean the adventure of going to the Grand Canyon next, yes I am!
WhoA, such phenomenal landscapes, nice ip of music also..very exciting to just watch and see, a n d your own excitement and joy you share adds to the video experience..I may need popcorn..thank you for you, your camera, and style for causing a big smile from 2,200 miles away Maddie..😃🌟 be safe and aware out there !!!
Thanks, David! I’m glad you enjoyed it!!
Come to Phoenix!
Sadly, that was further south than I had time and gas money for! Maybe next lap around the country, though!
Quisiera que pongas subtítulos en español. Soy de Argentina y también viajo sola. Vivian
No se como hacer subtítulos en español pero lo intentaré
(I’m learning Spanish and all I had to look up was how to say “I will try”!!)
Happy Easter Maddie, real cool content, your camera and editing skills are very good.....
Thank you!! Happy Easter to you too
Did you happen to see the formations called the "King of Wings" or the "Alien Throne"? I didn't see them in your video, but was wondering if you saw those. If you're not familiar with those, look them up. They are some of the more unique formations in this area. (and if you didn't see them, now you have a reason to go back).
Thank you for taking us on your adventure‼️
Thank you, Catherine! It’s always a pleasure! 😊
I see you are not far from Chaco Canyon, a site you should check out.
I already left New Mexico, sadly. Maybe on my next lap around, though!
I’m surprised that place wasn’t super crowded. It’s good that it wasn’t, but it seems like a place that would always be packed. Also, I took a trip to NM in 2018 and went to the UFO Museum in Roswell- it was pretty cool. Touristy, but cool. Happy Easter, and thanks for posting two adventures this week. ✌🏼
Yay, I’m so glad you noticed I posted twice this week. Since I’ve been in smaller towns I haven’t been able to work my food delivery job, so I put that extra time into churning more videos! Glad you appreciated this place, and that’s awesome you got to go to the Roswell museum. I thought about going, but it was a bit out-of-the-way for me, so I thought I’d save it for next time!
Oh why pour soup into a bowl? I’ve always heated and ate out of the pot. 1 dishes, but 2 if it’s colder the heat is retained in the pot, pour into a cold bowl and your soup is getting cold quicker. Personal preference I guess
I actually do that too sometimes! I don’t really remember why I decided pot vs bowl this day, maybe I just felt like being a little more fancy
Why are you out there by yourself....very dangerous...
Unfortunately, no where is 100% safe and I’d rather live doing what I want than caging myself in!
Sorry to have to say , but the crime in NM is horrible !
Interesting. I noticed some of the communities I was in were low-income, so I’m sad to hear those folks have to deal with a high crime rate, too
