@@beastbee0118 Very convincing, but I can hear a very minor amount of artifacting during the parts where the backing singers would have been. It's still amazing what can be done today!
@@shoknifeman2mikado135 Hi, slight alteration, not looking for a fight. The Picks were somewhat difficult to deal with, at least Norman Petty didn't think they were deferential enough to his ideas. Obviously, Buddy himself was not blown away by what they contributed to the Chirping Crickets album, as he did not insist they be brought back for any additional sessions. The Roses however, were so well liked by Buddy, that he took them on tour when feasible to provide live backing vocals, and, after the Crickets and Buddy split, he and Ray Rush of the roses planned to launch Prism Records to record, produce and manage up and coming artists.
@@narabdela if I remember correctly, when I messaged the guys at Rollercoaster Records UK (I bought their buddy holly stereo undubbed album) they used artificial intelligence to splice and break up the different instruments & vocals so they could isolate and remove the backing vocals then they remixed it into stereo without adding ANY new instruments so as to keep it original as possible. In doing so, they created a bit of distortion created by the missing vocals (because they didn't have the original master to do it the easy way) all in all, I think they did a great job in keeping it all original, the instruments and vocals you hear are all Buddy Holly & The Crickets.
Been one of my favs for many years! Long live his music!! ❤
Yes, this sounds BadAss in it's own raw right. 💯 Shout out to Lubbock Texas
I'm 72 now was 16 when this song was released in 1964. I loved it then and love it even now.😍
Actually Maybe Baby b/w Tell Me How was released in November 1957.
@@skylaneav8r902 Yeah i don't know what he's talking about he would have been 9..
his guitar style was/is so unique and instantly recognizable............he was/is the true original master of the Stratocaster..........
One of the kings of rock n roll.
YESSSS!!!
HIS SPIRIT LOVE YA BUDDY
Wow He was even better a singer than I realised!!
Great
Absolutely amazing post, thank you so much, Buddy will live forever!!
Great visuals except for one thing, the person at 1:47 is NOT Buddy, it's a Buddy Holly impersonator named John Muller!
That pic gets used a lot, does annoy me, just lazy research and editing 😢
Buddy ❤
Hard to tell on this one. Was it done with AI or was the 2-track overdub tape allowed?
I don't know. Bought it from these guys

@@beastbee0118 Ah. AI reconstruction then.
@@That_AMC_Guystill sounds pretty good though and VERY faithful to the original sound.

I enjoy this version better than with all the weak back-up voices. Elvis had the Jordanairs, Buddy did not.
He had the studio session back-up vocalists, The Pick's.
@@KnowYoutheDukeofArgyll1841 Also the Roses who did the job when the Picks weren't available
Buddy know how to play the guitar, Elvis do not.

Interesting, but something's not right with the voice. Was some AI tinkering involved?

The guy didn't need overdubbing, did he?

I like what you have done with the song but am wondering if you received permission from the copyright owners of the photos you feature?
Much better without those harmonies
