Concert exceptionnel ! À la fin du concert, Vers la flamme op. 72 est interprété avec une maestria et un lyrisme transcendant ! Je ne connais aucun pianiste actuel qui est capable en concert d'une telle maîtrise et passion dans cette pièce mythique de Scriabine !
October 10 is Yevgeny Kisin's birthday. Dear and beloved Eugene!I sincerely congratulate you on your birthday! I wish you all the best and joyful things in your life. Thank you so much for your talent as a musician and a PERSON.
[in response to another comment on Op 8 No. 5 being “massacred,” which I disagree with.] Sounds pretty good to me. I sure haven’t learned it that fast and cleanly. He keeps it well controlled and expresses it well for the tempo he chose. It’s not an easy etude to play at that speed, by the way. Kissin is a technical wizard, and if he wants to play it that fast, then by all means he should, because we won’t hear it like that from most people. Maybe we’ll learn it another way, equally valid, but at a more manageable tempo, but Kissin cuts a new trail when he does it, and we all should be aware of it.
I wouldn't say massacred, it's a fine performance by any standards, but I know what you mean. Because of Richter, that's why. Richter's performance brings out the beauty in this piece that nobody else seems capable of.
Terrible - !!!! More than ten commercials all at the most terrible moments. I saw them all: The Brahms Hungarian Dance with the wrong note, the Fur Elise with the wrong note, the play four chords for 100-songs guy, johnny may’s improv workshop…. Too much!
Sorry to say but, honestly, this is not so good. Kissin's sound is just "Steinway" as always. Where is the "Fantasy"?? He just pushs and attacks the sound with his big hands as always. Where is the variety of colourful and subtle sound of this music? I know other pianists' renditions have more colourful sounds at least in this piece. Kissin can make sound big, sometimes even noisy trying to surprise audience for his own glory but there is not so much fantasy and imagination in it I have to say honestly.
That voicing is so clear and sustained, wow ❤

Such a wonderful interpretation. So much care, thought, love and passion pouring through his fingers into every phrase…every note I should say.

Брависсимо ❤❤❤
You like Scriabin too? :)
i prefer pogorelich version (that one with liszt sonata)
Op.8 no.5 is absolutely massacred here. I will never understand why so many pianists play it this way.
How is it “massacred”?
I'm curious, too...

He has funny thick hairs .
Too many ADs in this performance; horrid interruption!
AT 25'09'' strange noise. Not acceptable for a Steiway
And I love Kissin
Phantasie IS played without phantasie😢He feels nothing
