Joshua Taylor hey where is the second part of the video? All I have found is the first day? Looking for the tuna fishing etc. Nice vid, just can't seem to find the 2nd half of day 2! ty
Don't know if using an electric reel is really fishing but I appreciate at those depths winding up would take forever. How about a shout out to us in the UK Who watch you. Keep up the good work Josh. I particularly like your knot tutorials
Just bought a tanacom 1000...cant find instructional video anywhere. Fishing electramates and kristals my whole life. Lots of bells and whistles on this thing...any advice
Capt. Joshua, I hope you know me well enough by now that I don't criticize people, but DUDE, your talking to a northern boy here who has not heard of these fish (or at least of their nic-names) so when you are talking to the capt. and he is rattling off what you may catch, it goes right over my head. (I hear the comments coming back already - lol) Looks like a LOT of fun though. Gad you guys are having a great time!!! Can't wait for the next installment! God Bless guys!
Well these species aren't all that common, so I can't really fault you for not knowing about them. At least now you can say you have seen or heard about them.
I snagged a deep drop reel and detachable motor off the bottom of the snake river a few years ago looked like new. Someone screwed up and i am guessing a big sturgan took it away from them.
I heard you mention 700ft, is that your best depth for Snowy's? Im at the northern range of them and trying to learn more. what is your favorite depth for them?
+Hector Lucena Not my preferred way of fishing but man it would be impossible any other way. It takes five minutes to hit the bottom with an 8lb weight lol.
At 5:58. I like the video but please, do not throw small pieces of nylon to the ocean, it will be floating around for years. I've been fishing for 25 years and allways got that small pieces into a bag (rubish). cheers
This is a learning video for sure for me! Very interesting! Fishing for fish I never heard of. I've never heard of electric reeling either. That's cheating
What I don't like is that you cut mono over the edge of boat and let it fall into the ocean like it will just disappear. Cut it and toss in a trash bucket inside your boat then dispose of properly!
watched up until he cuts his line tag off in the water. to be a guide or captain of a fishing boat you have to be a conservationists. dude has no business being out there. hate to see what else he throws into the water...
Wow this guy don't want his fancy boat dirty! He tied off and clipped a piece of 200lb leader right into the water!
Nothing better than seeing people cut line back into the ocean
Cool video, i have never seen anything like that. Thanks for sharing!
First time for me also, except for on tv.
Salty Scales you've been on TV!

Dino Harrison sounds like someone needs to take you fishing !!

That looks so freakin awesome! 👍🏻
It was cool but I am not much into the electric reels.
Yeah, hear ya. I thought the same thing about the reels, but I'd still like to try it! 👍🏻
Dont throw yout line ends to the ocean.. they're gonna stay there for good
I don't the captain of his boat did. That does not mean I agree with it.
Looks like a nice day!
Very good day
It sure is beautiful out there! Thank you for the information, I learned alot!
Yes indeed, glad you are learning. ;)
Great video!!
Thanks David

Was it still in working order? If so, that is a hell of a catch.
Joshua Taylor yes it works had to put a new cord end on it. But have never used it i hope to this winter on the gulf.
hey, Josh that electric reel takes all the fun out of fighting the fish. keep the vids up!
I agree but it would not be fun reeling those things up from 1000 feet. It takes five minutes for an 8lb lead to hit the bottom lol.
lol that's crazy
Man oh man that looks like a blast bud love to be there bud
It was a great experience for sure.
I heard you mention 700ft, is that your best depth for Snowy's? Im at the northern range of them and trying to learn more. what is your favorite depth for them?
700 to 900 is a great depth.
Thanks! Going to try to find a few off Virginia this year, I know they are here.
Looks like a really fun time but I don't know how I feel about those reels
+Hector Lucena Not my preferred way of fishing but man it would be impossible any other way. It takes five minutes to hit the bottom with an 8lb weight lol.
Definitely a very unique way of fishing :-)
@@Saltyscales in no way impossible people are just lazy
@@thetriplehobbiest1072 I'd love to watch you catch fish at that depth manually. See how lazy you are.
We reel 300' of copper line and lead core on the great lakes all day long. It's good exercise.
You are not lying.
When you guys were deep dropping and catching the grouper , were you at the humps or another location ?
Awesome bro !!!
Great job again sir
Where is part 2?
What kind of battery did you use
whats is the name & model of the rod ?
Keep up the great work!
Thank you!
Those electric reels are crazy ! What size fish does it take to stop those from reeling automatically josh ?
Honestly I'm not sure, that is my first time using one but it handled everything we caught like a champ. Doesn't sound great however.
Did I just see the captain cut the tag end into the water?
Unfortunately yes, not something we approve of.
Where do you get those trolling lures
Dude, don't throw plastic in the sea!
I didn't, they did sadly.
The first release on the undersized dolphin was a bit abusive, how well would the deckhand do if a hook ripped through his lips like that?
You'll get over it cup cake.
So cool
If the breakaway is 80 pound? What pound test is the braid?
The sinker is 8lbs and the main line was 200 I believe.
Dude that was great! What was that first fish? Loud but fun.
+C.P Bagley Snowie and barrel fish.
I like the Two Conch's crew and the media they put out but c'mon Captain.... Clip the lines inside the boat.
I agree
Yeah was thinking to same thing
Holy 8 pound sinker batman!!!!
+Johnny Que it's no joke lol
Why didn't you just release the spool rather than lowering the drag to drop the line?
Adding slight tension prevents the spool from turning too quickly, stopping birds nest
Awesome
Yeah☺
How much does a trip like this cost for one person?
I believe it's $1500 for the camp, give Jack a call and tell him Josh with Salty Scales sent you.
thanks!
why do u clip ur line into the water
Rob _ I don't, the captain of this boat did.
At 5:58.

I agree and don't condone such practices. This was a Two conchs boat down in the keys.
Great

Hey josh its me ur nephew Nate remember me plz reply
Of course I remember you, how have you been little buddy?
Furiousgamer skull are you on face book? I miss you. This is your Grammy, You have gotten so big send me a link to you please and thank you
Good i thought it was was cool that we were both on youtube. I only have a few subs though
Keep working at it, be consistent and they will come.
Wow
The reel was crying in pain...
Good video though
We got the same name
Good name!
I guarantee atleast 90 percent if not more of the people squawking about the electric reels have never reeled anything up 500ft plus.
You'd be correct. I'd bet most middle-aged individuals couldn't do it period.
Man that reel was making some noise
You're not lying.

This is not our boat, it's Two Conchs boat. We don't like it either but you are preaching to the wrong folks. 👍

I don't disagree, would never do that on my boat and I didn't like it either.

littering the ocean , thumbs down
Agree, it's a douche move
Just one small grouper lol. I can do better with spinning reel.
But yet you're on TH-cam typing about what you can do?
Kill the music
