Even Messi couldn't handle Rafa Marquez

- Guardiola had to separate them! The Argentine and the Mexican had a rather peculiar relationship. The 'Kaiser of Michoacán' was the ‘Flea’s’ idol at some point, but mean words were always an issue for Marquez, the player who left his mark in Barcelona.

Marquez had so much class ! Puyol and Marquez the best I’ve seemed
Is sad that many fans see Pique or Mascherano as legends over Rafa. For me Pique was a clown especially since his last UCL game cost us to advance. Mascherano is good but had lots of flaws. Rafa was a perfect mix of defense and attack. The fact he made Messi rage just goes to show the talent of Rafa
No one literally has compared Pique with Rafa.
It's reasonable to not rate Pique but Mascherano? I don't thjnk you know what you're talking about
You here my friend are s delusional . If you ever think pique as a clown then stop watching football. Such a shame where whole world respect pique and think as a genious bt here some clown think he is the minus for fcb. Every player has a ups and down. If you dont support club and players then you are free to leave . Nt every day is blue sky.🦴🐕
And valdes
Pique was overrated af
What happened is that Messi kept dribbling past Marquez and Marquez kept arguing Messi should have passed instead of being individualistic. Messi was fed up with the "instructions". It is hard to tell if Marquez was annoyed he was getting dribbled past or if he really intended to teach. Look up the clips when Marquez talks about it.
I heard that it wasn't just that, but that in one of those instances Rafa made a crucial tackle on Messi, almost injuring him. Messi had already become hot-headed from what you say, and that was the last straw. Messi might have the appearance of a calm, cool kid but when pushed he definitely doesn't hold back. Maquez's personality is also very well known, that he quickly loses his composure when things don't go his way, in this case Messi ignoring his instructions. Marquez was always one to leave his team with 10 men when the game was not going their way, mainly with the Mexican National Team.
Knowing Mexicans and their pride.
He probably felt offended he got dribbled lol
He was teaching him that if you have options to pass or shoot and instead you hold onto the ball then you are bound to get tackled
That is not true at all. In an interview with Omar chaparro, Rafita clarified the situation with Messi saying that during a training session of 5v5 he was on a team with Leo. Rafa said Messi had many opportunities of scoring and passing the ball but Messi wouldn’t let go off the ball even tho they were losing. That’s when Rafa lost it and both Rafa and Messi exchanged some words. Messi was really and not just Rafa but other of his teammates tried guiding Messi into being a better team player. Messi is up there at the top as one of the greatest in history but don’t dismiss any legacy of players like Marquez and many others that the people still carry on their hearts
@@yup9451Don’t try to compare Rafa Márquez to players from today that carry their pride on top of everything. Im not even from Mexico but i respect the legacy players like Rafa Márquez made on the club.
Best cb to play from the back, he had a magical long pass
Messi had 19 years old at that moment….no more comments, don’t get me wrong, Rafa Marquez is a legend
So what if he's 19
This title makes zero sense.
Most glorious Mexican football star no offense Hugo and chicha
Chicha chicha?? Are u serious? He is garbagge

My favorite of all time 🇲🇽
The expression leaving from the back-door is leaving without proper goodbye right ? Like they did Maradona, Romario, Rivaldo, Ronaldinho, Eto'o, and many others...
Is Lionel Scaloni at the barrier at 1:42 ?
He played for Mallorca in 2008-09 so it could be
Yes, that's him
That sure looks like him lmao 😂
Yea definitely
Yes that's him
Bestia
1:43 Lionel Scaloni
The person who is calming Messi aint guardiola 0:08
He is, in the first season he had hair 😂
2008 is where Pep era began , what you talking about?
True Pep had hair once but its not him in this video 100%
Rafa was like a 1 man wall no matter how tall his opponent and no matter how hard they tried to push him down he would not move
Márquez: Front door
Messi: Back door
Factos
😂😂Messi left thru the back door 😂😂😂
and? what's the point penaldog
Bro has his idol Penaldog's profile pic✨
Penaldog left crying after his last wc game 😂😂😂 while Messi lifted the cup

Márquez was far better than Pique.
As good as Pique in ball playing and far better marker
Cause Brazil also has an Internazionale, right?
1:43 Lionel Scaloni ??
Sí
👍
@@schris3 😂😂😂
Tambien le paso eso a Zlatan
I don’t get how gen z seriously believe pique was better than Marquez 😆😆😆😆😆 pique couldn’t win a 1 v 1 to save his marriage and life
Marquez fue mejor que Pique !!
Naa cut the crap messi jukes Marquez 😂 theres videos of it ..
Messi reminds me of a crying toddler compare to the bull Rafa Marquez
mentira ya soy el segundo
I think Messi was right and Guardiola is all "Alright alright already..." about it.
Super relatable.
(que to footage of Messi being a wide-eyed cinnamon roll❤)
Messi was right about what?
@@roberto7637 Whatever Marquez did in this session was probably genuinely a mistake.
@@Ahiru77 why do you say that?
@@roberto7637 Cause Lionel Messi never chastises anybody without good reason to do so. Even if he's just 19-20 here.
@@Ahiru77 I hear what your saying. He's a great person, humble. But you don't really know
Messi is ovarated.rafa better
this is a total lie, ONE TIME maybe Marquez got a shot in on Messi, but Messi destroyed him 99.99% of the time, so calm down....
It’s ok fan boy we all know it’s cap but ok
Madly overrated
👍
