The 12 - 6 elbow rule, while definitely stupid, is not rarely enforced. Its pretty rigorously enforced, actually. That's why fighters use a sort of side-slap elbow instead
anyone could easily argue that is wasn't a 12-6. it was a 1- 7... or a 10-4 .. or... does the ref or anyone else have to measure the exact angle of the strike ??? this rule is violated all the time and nothing is said about it.
I feel so bad for Watley in that last example. You can tell he feels absolutely terrible and you even see him trying to help Tavares out of the cage at the end.

That's basically the same thing tbh, I'm 153lbs and would have no issue fighting a guy up to like 170 as I have in the past and there's no real difference. It should be the same weight class

Regardless of whether the consensus is that it's a dumb rule, it's not like a fighter should be awarded a win for kicking a grounded opponent in the face because fans and fighters think that disallowing kicks to a grounded opponent is a dumb rule and PRIDE NEVER DIE.
I feel like 12-6 elbows on a grounded opponent is far more dangerous than ground and pound already is given you can generate the same force as an elbow but with much less contact area, basically a lot more unnecessary injuries

As an asthmatic I have to say that the use of Corticosteroids mid fight is insane, back when I was younger I used a spray inhaler with those, instantly after use the pain numbs and the lungs open while you get a considerable surge of strength
Well if us asthmatic people can't use what helps us out with a medical condition I don't see why fighters can go out there with their legs wrapped cuz that is giving them an advantage so there leg won't hurt as much. At least thats how I see it. Or some fighter have people help them stretch out in the middle of rounds.

I think it depends on what you miss weight by and the fighters history missing weight by 1 pound a single time isn’t a big deal but missing weight by 5-10 pounds every other fight is a problem there should probably be a scale maybe 10% purse per LB missed by or possibly multiplied by times missed
90% of your purse getting taken is very harsh if you miss weight by say a half pound or something like that. It’s literally their livelihood. If you’re 10 pounds over and don’t even attempt the weigh in then sure take 90% of that guys purse, but 90% is very drastic

Because you can't really make a decision while they're actively fighting. So you have to temporarily stop the action to do the replay.

I don’t really see the problem with suspending fighters for missing weight, I agree with Izzy when he said 90% of the purse should be taken
I think it depends on what you miss weight by and the fighters history missing weight by 1 pound a single time isn’t a big deal but missing weight by 5-10 pounds every other fight is a problem there should probably be a scale maybe 10% purse per LB missed by or possibly multiplied by times missed
90% of your purse getting taken is very harsh if you miss weight by say a half pound or something like that. It’s literally their livelihood. If you’re 10 pounds over and don’t even attempt the weigh in then sure take 90% of that guys purse, but 90% is very drastic
90% is good. It'll have people fight at their true weights. You'll see a whole different kind of fight.
