Honestly for a guy just talking while training, this was great. Like usually people doing a video like this with little to no editing, comes off watered down/boring/unprofessional. But the way you just felt natural talking about it, not stumbling over your words and even some of your movements transitioned very well to what you are saying. Like great execution. Very little to no mess-ups with very little to no editing. It’s just a very smooth video.
Great guide - one thing you missed about the neutral special is how easily it can break shields, especially if the opponent is above on a platform - the tusk hitbox plus the actual meatball hitbox can break full shields, great to get by starting neutral special in the air then landing to get both hitboxes.
Real quick, the Lox level zero down b "fart" has a small hitbox and I learned you can use that to break Kragg's wall when he tries to force you to walljump and deal with it.
@@vinegreen3242 This one works with any character with a dair spike. Reverse ledge getup attack into down air is called the MSG. Next, originating from Ganon, I've always called the single hit jab into down air the Dollar Tree.
I think this is the best guide I've seen for rivals 2 so far! Great job breaking down the moves and explaining exactly how to use them, highlighting their strengths and warning of their weaknesses. Great job!
For my fellow lox’s out there. Just sharing with yea what I’ve found out and it’s more of a gag, so don’t take it to serious. But the tricky scenario where you no charge meatball straight up and do it facing away from your opponent and then use ftilt to throw the meatball behind you. No shit try this out, it works. People don’t expect it and I’ve tested it 5 times and it hits every time. I usually do it in neutral when I notice the other player is waiting for me to do a move, so I usually shoot like two meatballs at them, if I notice they are trying to time my meatballs or parry them, then I act like I turned around on accident and messed up my meatball throw. Baiting them to charge me to punish, then I forward tilt that meatball catching the opponent unprepared. It works every time. Just try it out, obviously it won’t work all the time, but you’ll be surprised how much it catches people off guard. Good way to stop the camping neutral play style. Us Lox’s need an edge on neutral against these fast frame combo characters.
Great video (best lox guide so far), but missed special pummel, ledge special and get up special. Even if there is not much to say about it, I'm sure its worth mentioning.

Brilliant! I'm hovering around 970 1000 with Lox and want to push him to plat. This is all the info I need!
I believe in you

I call that hitbox the "whoopsie"
Killing people with the whoopsie is the best
@@vinegreen3242 Imma call it the whoopsie too now, thanks!
@@omegacanon he hit em with the whoopsie ooooooo!

I think that’s the one time that move finds value lol (BUT VALUE FOUND)
I'm not gonna lie, this is the best "how to play Loxodont" video yet on TH-cam. Thank you!
