It honestly just takes an investment in products! I know it seems a little bit pricy, but in order to get the structure strong enough underneath, you'll need to make sure everything you're using is of quality. Otherwise, you may just get frustrated with things falling apart!
I would probably increase the price slightly for real cake in this particular instance because the structural integrity of the bottom would be trickier!!

I do! The syrup is just a classic 1:1 ratio of warm water and sugar. There’s both American and Italian meringue buttercream recipes on my channel. If you look up make ahead $10 Smash cake, I list the recipe there for the vanilla cake I like to use 😊

To be honest, prior to starting my channel I really didn’t have much of a social media presence. My follower counts were under 1k on all platforms. It was A LOT of word of mouth and just being known as “the cake and cookie lady” to a lot of coworkers and friends. For a home baker that gave me more than enough clientele.
