My wife and I have recently bought a camp trailer. Best thing ever. As you get older (and some say wiser) you realise the ground is too bloody hard, cold and wet. Yes, you need to revise some of the ways you drive off road but, you still achieve the same result, which is getting to the place that no one else can and at the day of the day you will have a more comfortable bed to crash in. The trailer design looked brilliant, especially having the bat wing awning. Think I might redesign ours. As for the cooking, you do what you want, if viewers don’t like it, then don’t watch it. They can skip that part of the video.
Really love how Kayla is getting right into being part of the video’s, told ya she wouldn’t be going back to a swag once she has experienced the luxury of a dot
Great video Tyler. Quick trailer tip, hold the bottom of the wheel when reversing. Want the trailer to go to the right, turn the bottom of the wheel to the right, same for the left. You don’t need to think too hard that way, it just works.
That comment was a deal breaker. Juice is not worth the squeeze mate....trade up for a new one you can also do better she just showed her true colours.
I've got an off road trailer with a roof tent on and it's fantastic for base camping for a few days. Reversing it on a tight trail is the only downside. Mine's got all my gear permanently in it, I just hitch up and go. No packing and unpacking.
@@TylerThompson90 Pretty good, the trailer loaded is less than 500kgs and it's only a 6x4. Its from podtrailer.com.au in Melbourne. Weight is the number 1 factor for me, I don't want to be dragging around anything heavy. Cheers mate, love your work.
You should invest in some wet suit booties, put them in a dry bag after use & keep your feet safe from hidden surprises. Another great video seriously awesome viewing, thank you.
Camper trailer was cool. I like cooking segments being part of the trip, doesn't hurt for us blokes to learn a few new tricks, can't beat a good feed when you're camping. I'm gonna try that vegetarian spag bol you cooked with Kai next time I go camping with my daughter as she's a vego, looks like a great option.
A big tip when towing a trailer get your self a couple of extra pull blocks if u do get jammed up any where u can use your winch to pull the trailer around

I relate to your videos as sometimes it’s just about getting out there and finding a nice camp spot after exploring a nice track or 2. I have a hilux Ute and just use a swag but am thinking of a rooftop tent over the tray......I’m getting old! 😁
I have an ifs ute. Ienjoy watching this cause it shows what an ifs ute can do and how to drive it accordingly. This is one of my favorite 4wding channels, and this guy hasnt been corrupted by corperate greed like so many other 4wd channels on youtube trying to push product placement onto people.

Awesome video. Barrington Tops was one of our favorite place's when living in NSW. Have to agree that Little Murray camp ground is worth the drive in. Glad I found your video's.
Thoroughly enjoyed this one mate. Always great to see camping options especially in an actual relatable situation. The trailer setup looked very easy to use. I do enjoy a good camp cook up but agree that this video was about the trailer and not the food. Having dedicated cooking videos allows us viewers to watch the topics we want to with out having to filter through unwanted viewing. Besides it opens up an opportunity to have a seperate spin-off channel dedicated to cooking. Keep safe.
Great video and location. It’s a shame Drifta is stopping production of these trailers after all the development that has gone into these over the last few years.

That camper trailer looks alright, I love our soft floor camper but my wife has stipulated that she wants and in no uncertain terms we will be getting a off road caravan..... Her wish is my command 😂😂😂😂
Get a rooftop tent soon and you can have a kitchen setup on your truck too if u want. Or would you wanna get a trailer, it won't be suitable for your truck with independent rear suspension also disconnected sway bar. That's great why would u wanna change or upgrade it for trailer. What you think?
independent rear suspension???? mp300 has a solid rear axle/diff housing, they have the option of coil or leaf springs is where i think you are getting confused.
I didn't like a roof tent on the car. It gets in your way if you need to carry something on the roof, it makes the car top heavy and uses more fuel, you have to put it up and pack it up every fricken day on a trip, even when you are staying in the same place for several days but want to go for a drive. I take my trailer with the roof tent, or use my swag if it isn't a trailer friendly trip. Best of both worlds.
Is Kayla a trailer queen convert now or happy to go back to the swags? 😂🤣👍 Cool video guys and thanks for sharing 🙏 cannot wait to get back out there myself.
Great content mate! I was up there today and was going to do the Carey’s peak walk from junction pools with my son but the Barrington trail on the east side is shut due to the virus. We did a few trails near there and then went to Horse Swamp trail on the way home (I watched your previous BT video before going up, thank you for the track info). I don’t have a winch so I’m pretty happy I decided to take the other option to where you got bogged. Keep the quality content coming mate!👍
