MSC Seaview Embarkation Day - Setting Sail From Barcelona & 1st Impressions Of The Ship

- So after a couple of nights In Barcelona ( go check those videos out 😜) It is now time to embark on the MSC Seaview.
So after doing our first cruise in May 2022 on the P&O Iona this is now our 3rd! Also this is our second time on a MSC ship as we did the Virtuosa back in May sailing from Southampton. So although we loved our other MSC cruise this is the first time sailing out of the UK so it will be interesting to see the differences with food other passengers etc.
This series is going to involve lots of off the ship content to some amazing places as well as lots of vlogs of the ship itself. But first off we've got to embark first so come with us as we go through the process and experience our first glimpse of the ship... Will we be impressed?

We're happy to see you off on another cruise, Kev and Stacy. Looks like a beautiful ship and another lovely cabin. We wouldn't mind our cabin furthest away from the buffet. It would give us some exercise returning from lunch before our naps! We didn't know that there was a required safety video and quiz on a cruise. Probably good just in case. Dinner looked delicious but Stacey you do really love your bread! Enjoyed the first day and beautiful sunset. Thanks for bringing us along!
Hi Dave and Kathy and yes haha think that's a good idea to be the furthest away from the Buffet, certainly got our steps in hehe. And yes every cruise line makes you watch a mandatory safety video. We didn't know this either before we started cruising. Hope you're both ok 😍

Hi guy's. Yes, you get lot's of exercise when walking from one end of the ship to the other. On my last cruise, the Meraviglia, I walked 8.2 miles one day. It was a sea day so lot's of exploring. Lol 😆 There is also nothing like sunset's and sun rises on the ocean. They are definitely the best.
Haha yes on the plus side we get to burn off some of the calories we consume lol 😆
Aida Cruises are a German Cruise line, owned by the Carnival Corporation (Who own P&O). They pop into Southampton from time to time throughout the year.

Honestly love watching your vlogs! We've booked Iona for 2024 😁 do you have to attach a credit card to the room key for the Iona cruise like MSC ? First timers here to and honestly your videos are sooo helpful!
Thanks. You can either do a credit, debit or cash. But credit is easier as you dont need to go and settle your bill at the end. If you do cash you have to go guest services and give them cash and at the end of the holiday go back and mess about lol

You were so lucky to have been given the table for 2, we were put on a table of 6 whilst on MSC Armonia and told we can't change so we never ate in the MDR :(
Thats one of the bad things about the MDR. we are always going check when we 1st go on ships now see if we can be moved

Hello Kevin and Stacy! Glad to continue following your adventures. Really cool you are on another Cruise. Love watching you guys enjoy yourselves. That is what it is all about! I think that is why your Vloggs are so fun, you enjoy your experiences with true opinions.. One question. My MSC cruise out of Southhampton in December 2022 said all I need was to be fulling vaccinated. Are covia19 rules for UK and Southhampton different than Barcelona? I want to make sure I have all Covid19 protocols taken care of before I board the ship as I fly in one day before the cruise. Look forward to following your new adventures! Enjoy!

@@OneCouplesAdventure thank you for this link. It states that you don't have to have Covid vaccine so you would not need documentation but then you must pass a test but it states no to self-antigen tests. . Also there is an insurance policy MSC does for Covid. Have you seen this?
We were in Barcelona on the 1st of October and we saw a msc go pass us

Ok, so you do the fit to fly test 24 hours before. Do you also need to produce documents/Covid Pass to prove you are vaccinated? I'll be on Seaview in Oct but trying to keep up.
Yes you have to sglhow your vaccination certificate. Double check closer to your cruise about testing as it changes

Yes we tested. We were told we had to for our cruise. They asked for the certificate when we checked in. It has since changed but they do still recommend doing one
Did you have to use the MSC excursions, or were you allowed to leave the ship and do your own thing?
You don't have to do MSC excursions, you can just get off and walk around or you might have to catch the MSC bus into the place you are visiting. But if there is 4 of you it might be cheaper to get a taxi. They are normally waiting outside the ship

Hey on the app for check in as i dont have a credit card and i have my own cabin can my mum register her credit card on the app and on the activation point so i can use the £250 on my cruise card?
Not 100% sure as we didn't have to add 2 booking on one credit card. Maybe ring MSC to check
