I just bought this same wallet. It's my 1st wallet since 2004. I've only had 3 wallets in my whole life. I use the outside pocket for my Metrocard (Farecard for the NYC transit system).
I have the Ridge as well and love that it’s compact. My only dislikes, just like you, are that it scratches my GOLD card and so annoying when getting cards in the middle of the wallet....great vid 👍🏽

You don't know why they say designed in Germany, made in China? By law they have to say it was made in China, and they add designed in Germany as a marketing ploy. They intended to give the product an air of quality. It's made in China because labor is cheap in China. Many products say designed in the US, made in China for exactly the same reason. Sadly, Americans want to make good money, but want their products cheap! Eventually, that's going to catch up with us.

I am using the ridge wallet to I like it a lot but yes I have the same issue scratching the cards a little. I am always looking for new wallets. Wallets are one of those things that you find what works for you. Let us know how you like that wallet it looks nice and practical. Might have to check it out. I like the reviews that you do review of the wallet than cards for the month great job. I've only been using my Carl Friedrik, The Hatton wallet. Luxurious leather plus it's ultra slim & practical. Ships from overseas so it takes a while to receive it but it's worth it.

Fidelity offers a credit card that pays 3% on everything. I can’t justify paying at $250 annual fee on a credit card. That’s insane. Do you spend enough to justify having that card? you said you spend enough to cover the $250, but how much, monetarily, do you come out ahead using the American Express Gold card? The Fidelity card would probably pay more, overall. I also carry a Chase Visa and a Discover Card, which pay 5% on certain categories, which change quarterly. I pay no fees on any of my credit cards.

Only thing to note is that because of the clip, your cards will get a bend in them. You can mitigate that by flipping them around every so often.
