$2. You stole that clock. At least it was a cheap food for your antique/clock bug. LOL. As always you did a great job restoring this clock/case. As you probably already know Seikosha is now Seiko. They have been making clocks for a long time. Might be an antique. Thanks for the shout out. God bless you and yours.
Yes, I did know but again, I forgot. It's nice you put it in the comments for the others to read. It's always a welcoming thing for that. You have a great week Mark and God Bless.
Good job Mile. I have the very same clock . I got it at a goodwill store for $25.00. I haven't taken it apart yet, don't know if I can get it back together.
Four Main things when attempting to take a clock apart for the first time. One, But it cheap, you did okay on that, Two, Take PICTURES before you take anything apart so you can get it back together. THREE, with the movement out, Run it to see what the gears are doing and what might trigger the Gond, Four, Watch my video a few times before you start, maybe in the middle of your work as needed so you can get things right. I wish you luck and I am sure you can do it.
It is always nice when you can take a turd and turn it into a Cadillac and this one even surprised me. Thanks for watching BoB Anderson. Have a great week.
Nice looking clock and movement. I like that the lever trip wire is outside the movement instead of down through the middle of the movement, like the US movements. Sure did polish up nice. Do you oil your spring before you put it back in or after? Came out looking and sounding great.
After cleaning the spring, I oil the spring with a thin layer left behind. Then after the movement is back together, I wind the spring up all the way and look to see if I have any oil coming out. If not, it doesn't bother me to add a little more oil on top of the sides. Thanks so much for watching Adair's Repairs
Thanks you for sharing good job 👍
