Thank you. Our family has had a home here for over fifty years. Lymington has changed so much, so it was lovely to see how little it had changed from the 1930’s until 1970 when the huge influx of second homes & yaucht owners began arriving … now it’s a town filled with wealthy second homers … and , for some reason,😅 rich widows 🤷🏼♀️
Love those old photo's, particularly as I lived in Lymington between 1956 and 1960ish. I was only 4 when we left, but I've been back to look at the place, a few times. We lived on Waterford Lane, in a red brick house, called Monks Orchard. Sadly, it has been rendered in white. I still have memories of a local park, the town railway station and watching the steam train leave the quay and steam towards us. My mum used to take me to the IoW, on the ferry, me in the child's seat on the back of her bicycle. My grandad worked at Wellworthy as shown. Thanks for the memories!

No problem thanks for watching
It still maintains its charm. Very enjoyable
Thanks ma
Still a great place to live and work.
Yes it's awesome
Great video with some great memories ❤
Thanks
Good video 💕
Thanks
Great video. I can't picture the Freemasons arms on the toll bridge. Doesn't seem enough space. Was it on the current bridge or the old one?
I was thinking exactly the same thing and the information was vague but it must be the old one
Shame about the ridiculous captions way to many and to large
Yep it's a learning journey, just trying to share history, keep your eye out for forthcoming releases they'll get better and better
