I had a theory that Rover has an aura, a frequency, that is comforting to anyone who comes into close contact; moreso if they're a resonator. This is further proved when Roccia saves Rover, and Roccia says Pero likes Rover's frequency. Maybe that's the lore behind why Rover attracts the ladies.
Sanhua confirms part of this in that The Rover is displayed as their trueself instead of as a horrible frequency monster to her. I believe that YangYang also says this and her forte is so in tune she can people's emotions with the wind. I don't think you're theory is too far off the mark, makes sense to me.
@@DartNguyen That's actually fairly interesting. I feel like both make sense as the dangerous aura would be representative of his power, but I also think him being seen for who he truly is does that as well, though less impactful.... I kinda like Rover with a dangerous aura to Sanhua though.
Saying Encore quest wasn't amazing is crazy. The emotions that quest had were off the chart. The ending was perfect, the music was perfect, and the story was perfect.
"It was a very happy story". In hindsight, Encore is the first one that is very excited when meeting Rover. To be honest, I think every region is actively seeking for Arbiter for each of their own agenda, including fractsidus.
Sorry, I misspoke slightly when describing it in the video, mainly cus I just binged Carlotta, Zhezhi, and Camellya's story quest right before completing Encores and doing my recordings! My initial words are more of how I feel about it. Even though it felt like a side quest, it was an amazing interaction between Encore, Ying, and Rover. I was moved to tears by the conclusion, and I was honestly so happy with how Encore handled it. Kids a gem among the characters!
Fun fact! Changli’s admire rover even before rover reset themselves because of changli’s master xuanmiao talks about rover a lot. So she has her fangirl moment when meeting rover for real.
Imagine "main characters" being robbed of their purpose in the past gacha games for so long, that seeing Rover as an anchor point for companions suddenly becomes "glazing". Seems to me that we've strayed so far from the conventional monomyth narrative that the concept of your typical hero-centric journey becomes foreign entirely.
Besides the lore that Rover and soothe high sensitive Resonators like YangYan, Camyilla, etc - The man is just simply reliable and versatile. I can see why women like him.
I think all the stories in Jinzhou heavily play into the fact that Rover's a figure that played a major role in the history of Sol-3 as a whole, and while it may throw some people off I think they handle it well (just that the writing was lacking due to massive rewrites) and that the pay off will be major What reason is there for Rover to wipe their own memory? Could it be that the truth is something that they had to forget for their own good, or for the good of others? We keep encountering stories about the value of life, morality, responsibility, could it all be something that will prepare Rover mentally for the future story? Well, we can only hope Kuro cooks
The only characters that glaze Rover in game so far are just Shorekeeper and Camellya, both of them have long history with Rover in game. Others are rather for respect, friendship, or even using Rover for their gains so far in game atm. And the "glaze" problem got arise during 1.3 and 1.4 patches so I guess online people are overthinking and overreacting it.
Camellya is literally a battle junkie, she loves Rover's power, that's it. SK loves Rover as her master, creator and has a lot of admiration for Rover as well. Yangyang liked Rover from the very beginning, what's not to like about a good looking guy/girl? Ugly people probably can't relate though. 😂 And Rover showed Yangyang how cool s/he is constantly... ofc she really likes Rover. Changli and Yinlin are flirts, they shouldn't be taken seriously, they have a flirty personality in general. Every "love" is different, some people can't differentiate between them... personal issues i guess. Yet they act like everything is the same, for the same reasons, which is dumb to think like that because it isn't true in the slightest.
@@rayzen119 I'll say shorekeeper love is more akin to love from a child to a parent since rover was the one who guide shorekeeper like how a parent guides a child to learn about the world.
Finally someone with the same opinion as me. Though it might be 3 now include Carlotta, I mean from the main story to the companion quest she "might have now romantic feeling". At first I feel like Carlotta is similar to yinlin where they are quite good at flirting since they are basically a spy and they are used to it because of their expertise, but unlike yinlin's teasing and simple flirts, I feel like Carlotta is now far more than just flirt. Although this might just be my biased for liking Carlotta
What stood out to me in Xiangli Yao's quest(don't rember the details though I should revisit lol) is how they went into showing that the science as we know it do not exactly apply in Sol-3 We found out in 1.3 that "the only law that holds true in this world is gravity" and the researchers in XLY quest dedicated themselves to research, only to be hit the fact that they can never hope to comprehend the waveworn. And that might be devastating on its own but the implications, imo, are horrifying here... The way I understand it, any discovery could have given them a sense of control, but none of it made sense. And if so...Doesn't this mean that humanity as a whole is at the mercy of a force that's beyond them? Something they can't control. That stuck with me
Each region will have their own way to save the world. Huanglong with it's research, black shores being secret organizations that control every region process, fractsidus who wants to burn everything, and probably we will get Rinascita later.
In Jiyans story quest we also found out that the taped discords were evolving. Good luck humanity 🥲... anyway I want more lore driven quests, I'm cool with wifus but I really prefer the story quests that seek to tackle the depth of lore within the world. At least Carlotta name dropped one of the nations we will go to in the future, so I'll give her a pass.
@ The waifu quests tell us bits of Rover's backstory and highlight their role in shaping Sol-3 as we know it Tacet Discords do not just evolve, the way I understand it is that they are frequencies that are able to materialize due to the warped physics of Sol-3 Those frequencies naturally "merge" with other frequencies, or consume them, also taking on their properties. It's as natural as earth orbiting around the sun. That's why tacet discords can sometimes speak with a human voice, that's not humans in them There are TDs that are actually sentient though, at least as much as they can be. Shorekeeper is a "being of sonoro" or however they put it, and Lorelei had also been given a "soul" Maybe the difference between TD is that it is a natural/supernatural force, and echo is a TD that takes on the will of its resonator? We can use echos for both utility and combat after all
@@imjustlikedenji5954 No I mean that they are evolving, not that they evolved. I'm not referring to Darwin's evolution, but instead using the term to reflect that they are getting stronger / more dangerous. They are frequencies, but they learning to absorb other frequencies and use them to an alarming degree.
I'm completely fine with characters glazing tf out of Rover as long as they can make it make sense with the characters. I'd be pissed if a character who was 100% hostile to Rover in one scene became the newest Rover Giga-glazer 9000 without extensive character development over several story arcs (at least the same length of time it took for FrostNova to become a member of Rhodes Island as a baseline for this kind of thing.)
You know this makes me excited for playable Phrolova and playable Scar. I’m interested to know how Kuro’s gonna handle the Fractsidus arc going forward, provided they don’t mess it up.
@gnw_AstA Despite what I said above, this is Kuro, and judging by how they did the Ascendants in PGR, they could drop a Fractsidus banner at any time and then write the story behind it later. So far in PGR, almost every major Ascendant (Luna, Alpha, Qu, Lamia, and Roland) is playable, and in the story, they're still enemies, or neutral at best (in Global).
That's Chixia in CBT. She pointed her gun at us, then happily gave us a tour in Jinzhou, to then get mad at us again after hearing death alarm. And people said CBT is better. LOL
@ironclad-m3q I can see how the concept was interesting, but they didn't follow through, and that's the big problem there. Flipflop on how you present a character, and all you get is a mess.
@@ironclad-m3q Woah, I legit never know that's the case in CBT 1, and then some people legit thought that it was 'well-written' or whatever.... Care to talk about your thoughts on the whole CBT 1 story? I wanna have discussions about it.
Yes. And precisely the level and distance of what happens between Yangyang (when starting Black Shores storyline) and Carlotta (during her companion quest). Bodylanguage and stares will show there is interest. But they won't act on that interest.
I am tired of gacha games when the MC is being cameraman, observer only, or someone who doesn't have strength at all. If you want the game that glaze the MC too take a look at BG3 or any crpg in that matter. The classic approach is the MC is the most important person or person who glues the party together. If you want even more far fetched approach, dark souls MC is the most important person, without him or her the story won't continue.
totally agree with the analysis. I'm in the stance that if people look for something they'll find that something. For me i just enjoy the story since it's a mix of storytelling beats, I found in different media before so seeing them playout in a gacha game of all things, is an interesting experience. BTW, the Shorekeeper quest was really something else, it made me feel how me and my wife(irl) look at each other. the feels are definitely there. Love the vids recently. Looking forward to more.
With Changli, it was more a story about the value of a human life. Changli thought she would be okay hurting herself and giving her life away to protect others, hence why she was hurt so much Rover would see repeatedly she insists on doing things alone, her feeling a responsibility to protect as someone posessing a powerful forte The reason Rover tried to stop her because the stakes were that if Changli takes on all of that alone she might overclock and hurt herself, if not burn to death, they just didn't show the extent of how much her forte could hurt Changli's gesture, holding Rover's hand while carefully thawing the ice on their face, was a display of her exceptional forte control and a testament to her efforts If she were to continue on without regard for her own life just like before, she would never have prepared Jinhsi for her trials, never would have lead Rover to that decisive battle, and even then, Rover and Changli would have been trapped in that Somnoire As for Rover, I feel there might have been a real reason as to why they wanted to wipe their own memory, perhaps there is a hidden truth that Rover is just not prepared for at the moment and the stories we learn about responsibility, about fighting despite the slimmest of chances, about value of life and that peace can not be built on suffering of others, all of those are things Rover had to learn on their way to prepare mentally for what's to come!
"Camellya would rip off Shorekeeper's wings if she knew how intimate they were" diabolical work ngl. Though funny enough, Camellya doesn't love Rover she was created with the expilicit intent to get close to Rover and avoid Tethys detection systems. Essentially, by getting closer to Rover she's doing the thing she was created by an enemy or admirer of Rover told her to do. Camellya strangely enough doesn't have much free will. She was drugged up and created to hunt Rover down, though not to hurt or kill Rover. She was also made in a way to overclock intentionally. She's a very broken individual struggling with her identities and what those who created did to her. That said, we don't call an animal evil for eating someone when it's hungry, why would we call Camellya a lover of Rover when she's doing as she was brainwashed and created to hunt them down? We know exactly how she feels about Rover, the object of obsession for the purpose of their creator. If anything, I think it might showcase the love someone else has for Rover, or more likely that Camellya might not be an ally to Rover and is a sleeper agent of sorts. That said, all of this is only revealed in the Intimacy levels and NOT in the quest itself. (Though Shorekeeper also talks about how Camellya was made in her Intimacy Reports and that The Shorekeeper allows Camellya to operate with freedom like how Rover's first thing to her was for Shorekeeper to operate freely.) Since Camellya lacks free will and acts more like an animal, I wouldn't consider her to be love, or even glazing. I find it rather horrifying to be honest. Also, a fun fact about The End of Wandering, it's a "remnant" of the future where Rover and Shorekeeper are present. HOWEVER, it is NOT the current Rover and Shorekeeper there but actually the end of Rover's story, there alone with The Shorekeeper. Unlike Camellya's future's which were created by Tethys, this one is not. I 100% agree, more voice lines from Rover would go incredibly hard. I'm also a person who struggles to see the glaze, logically speaking Rover should have cults worshiping them around the world from the deeds they did in the past. If anything the lack of glaze is more concerning from a writing standpoint as humans love to worship mfs, especially mysterious hero or savior types. Hell, irl it doesn't take much for someone to be worshiped or glazed. That said, the writing is fine so we don't necessariliy need cults worshiping Rover unless they were doing something heinous and dragging Rover's name down (suicide cult type deal) and it just wouldn't fit in well as a main story point.
@@doommaker4000 Her report states "Speculated to be an Artifical Resonator" however, The Shorekeeper claims Camellya was created and her additionally intimacy reports (specifically lvl5) showcase that she was at the very least experimented on and brainwashed and did not always have her forte, or perhaps was created just like The Shorekeeper was but was more faulty. Also, the item that caused her awakening is not known it's "close" to a Camellia flower, however the exact item she resonates with does not exist as far as The Black Shores knows meaning she was artifically created or at least artifically made in some way. The Shorekeeper for example was made but she resonates with Rover's heart so it is possible for created individuals to resonate still.
First, walls of text are awful. Learn to use punctuation and separate paragraphs. Second, you will need to quote that thing about Camellya being created to hunt Rover. I am calling bullshit on that theory until you bring official proof of it.
@@lesath7883 source: Camellya's character story unlocked at intimacy level 5 It is revealed that Rover in pre-Lament era was also a mysterious figure that caught the attention of various organizations, including Camellya's own organization. So Camellya's organization used Camellya as an artificial resonator for the sole purpose of hunting down Rover. She has no free will over her own action and spent most of the time being injected substance to keep her mind confused. Their relationship was more of a one-sided acquaintance at best, because Camellya knew Rover's information and can only keep distance from them to hide from Tethys system tracking. It was only after the Lament happened that Camellya woke up (the story said centuries later) to find that everything was gone, her organization was no longer there, and with no purpose in life, she wandered around aimlessly and eventually met with Rover in that village and joined the Black Shores. The simulation "what-ifs" timeline in her companion story is correct, no matter what happens, Camellya will meet Rover eventually because that's exactly her sole purpose in life until now, it's probably not an exaggeration that she said it's her instinct to search for Rover.
If you win a war with threnodian disaster, help solve the mount firmament incident, solving Tethys system problem, and now the one who make sure the carnivale run smoothly and relit the spirit of the people in Ragunna city. I guess some people want him or her competency.
Personally I don't like romance in video games but the rover is hot + cool + charming + gentle + kind so it's not like I don't understand why all the girls are falling all over them. At least in this game it's actually believable.
Not about wuwa, it's just that your statement felt a bit off. A character(MC) can be overpowered, sick, smart and reliable even without the glazing dynamic, just saying. Less glazing ≠ useless MC
Or yanno, make the Rover a Paragon character. He/she inspires the other characters in the world to be better, which can give us more arcs that aren’t always about the Rover and is instead focused more on the rest of the cast.
While i agree overall, i do think Carlotta shows more love interest than Camellya. You're often reminded that Carmellya wants to fight you, since you're the only strong person that can "entertain her", her entire thing about following you and wanting to lose her memories was often spoken to be about her battle craziness. So i'd say its more of a "possessive" attachment than love. Carlotta on the other hand, you go on a date, you get to dance, you get her to talk about wanting you to join the montelli family, having a special dedicated name, first person chosen by her, her grandpa almost tells you to take care of his grandaughter, etc etc... id say there's many more hints of a romantic relationship with Carlotta than Camellya. So i'd value Carlotta and Shorekeeper as the "main" interests, while the others you mentioned to be a maybe, if people read into details.
While the story is standard for a 3d gacha game... It make up for vivid visuals and some movements aren't the same so it won't feel lifeless compared to that other series. But yeah, I have faith in kurogames that they will do well in cinematic cutscenes for selling the story... My favorite companion story is shorekeeper... Give props to rover for acting on his own accord and not some pipsqueak screaming (Abby has moments too) P.S. Xiangli Yao's story gives off eerie vibes
Wuwa's MC is literally a perpetual, an immortal individual equivalent that of a Primarch. This is like expecting Imperial citizen not to glaze Roboute Guilliman 24/7
@Gheniel_ Well, the real problem with the criticism around Rover-glazing is many conflate the NPCs glazing MC with the narrative itself glazing the MC. NPCs glazing the MC is just a consequence of Rover's good reputation due to his assistance in solving problems and ending Threnodian threat jn Jinzhou. The narrative glazing the MC is a more legit criticism since the story seems to depict the Rover without real imperfections in their character. But really, the Rover is quite literally an amnesiac blank slate which makes designing character weakness difficult. Though really, I'm open to other methods of implementing imperfections and weakness to MC.
Lets just say since the MC is the architect(arbiture{cant remember what we are called}) we just have an easing "AURA" or we are shooting a specific "SEQUENCE" like nuclear materials throwing out atoms and stuff everywhere, and that's the reason why everyone who is a "Resonator" are always feeling an ease around him along with it being super comforting around him(more or less kinda being hypnotized) since we know we did travel through a sequence space and might be someone who has strong connection/control to "sequence" . That's pretty much how my theory goes
I need more men, the girls and gays got baited with plentiful male characters at the beginning just to get shown a middle finger ever since. Or more so "have this one male character and stop complaining".
Short aswer: No Long answ: hell no, have you seen the dance comparison? It's so cringe to celebrate a victory alone, having a significant moment with the characters feels better And by Lore: present Rover needs allies, using Thethis system, past Rover paved the way to cross paths and help them cuz they are Key individuals to fight the Lament If those characters aren't on the Rover side (i.e. Camellya quest) it's sure the Lament will succeed
One of the things why i think a lot of people don't like the glaze is because we as a player still don't have any reason to glaze rover, in game characters glaze rover so much but we don't even know why they glaze him. That being said the glaze is not the problem but the reason of the glaze is the problem, we still need a lot more information and development from rover itself before we actually like and accept the glaze.
Nah rover has shown feats of why they deserved to be glazed like cutting a dimension in half soloing the crownless ( talking about cbt) and absorbing the dreamless frequency (with the help of jiyan) the real mc that needs their glazing questioned is the traveler in genshin impact cause they don’t have any dang feats that they’ve done on their own besides needing help for most of their feats
@@Eb-sq3jd well I'm not just talking about feats, we don't really have much like development, information of what did he do in the past, and the depth of rover as a character themselves (don't get me wrong tho, I actually have a bias towards rover. I love them)
Honestly, it should be fine. They arent a self-insert MC, We are simply controlling them. And i feel like a decent girl would develop feelings for a strong, dependable, and smart guy/girl. That is my opinion on the harems and the glazing, Just keep the glazing at okay levels and dont overhype/underhype him.
Wasn't it explained that the reason Rover axed their memories is because they'd tried to solve the threat issue and always came up short, so the idea was to re-enter the world with a fresh perspective in hopes of finding something they never thought of or noticed before?
Even if other characters have glaze/relationship with Rover, at least he/she & they deserve it because Rover do have personality and Abby is just there to support em. Unlike a certain game where the mascot always steal the spotlight meant for mc by lots of yaps & repeats.
The other game is worse. You did nothing, you don't even need to play the game, all the problem will resolve itself. The developer only makes a movie and looking at player: "look at us, we are awesome, you are just an audience. Nobody here cares about you, you are not important".
Thanks for the video. Kinda agree with your conclusion. Now, regarding Rover's memories, that feels like the classic epic story. Odin goes in a quest for wisdom, and sacrifices an eye at the well of something-something to acquire that wisdo. Bastian has to dig to find his reason to return to the world, but when he finds the memory shard of his father, he forgets about his mother. Aang goes through training to master the Avatar state, but needs to sacrifice Katara to achieve it. So, he sacrifices his training to save her, which leads to him dying. Likewise, Rover left the world to find the truths that may lead to the end of the Lament. And he does! He does find the goddess. And she provides the key to solving the Lament. But s/he sacrifices his/her memories.
Honestly, I don't mind a bit of Rover glazing.... just wish there some male resonators to glaze the female MC (there was a little suggestion at the end of Jiyan's companion story - maybe my imagination - but must admit to loving it!!) Jiyan's story was great throughout That's not saying I want all characters to be this way - but some of the time is fine
I mean, I’m pretty sure Rover may calm resonators down. I could be reading too deep but when rover is around, the resonators are pretty calm in particular, and echoes love his frequency, and not to mention remember Sanhua said that his frequency was like Jinzhi’s where it was just simply an outline around him. (Lore wise Jinzhi has his kind of frequency but regardless)
0:23 Honestly if someone have this lethal of a face card, I'd be glazing them 24/7 ngl. Mrover look a bit goofy/cute in this scene, i never expected frover to look this hot and cool af. Jokes aside, kuro has always make their characters develop personal or even deep relationship with their mcs, take pgr for example, most of their characters have very personal story chapters with the commandant, if not in the main story, it will be their affection story. Hell we even have one male character straight up having some "suggestive" line that literally made the commandant shut his mouth and drag him away from other people that's listening. But still weirdly enough, it doesn't feel like commandant is getting too glazed on by them neither do i feel like commandant are getting an actual harem. They have people that really care for them, yes but it's really up to the player if they wanna classify it as "romance" or not. I think kuro might just take the same route for wuwa, although in this case, only time will tell if they manage to execute it well.
hmmm... I'm probably in minority but i never self-insert as Rover. to me she's just one of female characters like other character. when she's flirt with other is like she collecting harem for me 😂
To be honest, I think Rover is starting to lean too much on the Mary Sue/Gary Stue trope. What needs to happen is that Rover needs to come across characters that justifiably hates them because of a huge fuck up that the past Rover has made. I'll go one step further and argue that the next region needs to be a region that despises Rover and the Black Shores because Rover had to make a hard decision that would harshly affect that region. Am I cooking or should I get out of the kitchen?
well a decent part of your take has value, but some of it is an L. 1. Rinascita is in a tight diplomatic situation with the black shores, they're not on good terms at all, especially Ragunna. 2. i think people have wanted characters that hate rover for a long time, it's just that people who hate the game's current storytelling glaze (ironic) CBT 1 & 2 for having characters not trust rover. the fact is, the way it was done was extremely incoherent, and all of these animosity moments are analyzed in a void. I mean, Chixia points a gun at us after we save her friend (Yapyap) from a walking radiation calamity (crownless). TF? 3. I think the story currently suffers from lack of expansion on the power system. we know quite a bit about resonators in lore and through quests, but how do resonators get stronger? how do they train? establishing a better powerscaling base for the characters would make gains in strength feel more rewarding, and fix any Gary stu/mary sue concerns.
With me and the Glazing of Rover, if they make him out to be more of a character and less of a self-insert, I'd be 100% content with it. The glaze isn't just based on romance
i think who says wuwa character to much glazing with rover is insane bro, its like they dont know to see a glimmer of hope in a cruel world its wuwa man, not genshin, you have to be more mature in seeing what happened on that world, you should play less gooner game
My main issue is the Rover almost instantly gets people in their favor, even if they just meet. People saying they can tell they’re strong, or “The legendary Rover” stuff would be fine if there were times when some of that felt more earned. Having us do some quests with someone where Rover earns their respect would be nice. It isn’t the biggest deal to me because I don’t hate harems or anything, but sometimes it’s just too easy. Just have there be a bit more time before they start acting like they’re amazing. I’m aware not every character does this of course
Honestly im pretty sure the community told the developer about how the side characters hate Rover way too much and the developer changed it into everyone likes Rover so its basically the communties fault ngl
Amd thus the story improved by leaps and bounds. If players feel hostility at every step, we lose any reason to save the city. Fuck Jinzhou. Let the Threnodian crush it.
Honestly as men, I don't mind at all. Yes, the world lore just about the rover wants to save humanity. Hey, don't blame rover for having ultimate rizz. 🗿
Thus we have the crux of the matter. If the actual issue of Rover's 'harem' is like a 5 - 6 /10 then the community will make it a 8 - 9 /10. I think the two main driving factors of this are as follows: 1. Camellya's story quest was frankly unfinished. Half of the context is found in her character biography 2. The conclusion to the 1.4 MAIN STORY was awful.
I think the Rover glazing is done well. Rover is praised for being a hero performing great deeds. It makes sense. Rover is the MC of a gacha game aswell. It comes with the territory. The romance could be better. PGR already does romance abit better by making it slightly more direct and having more romantic moments outside of companion quests. It's another thing that comes with the gacha territory and many of us are here for it. Especially when it's Rover x character. Sadly, the western gacha communities are often infected with the loud minority. Tourists and antis that hate any fan-service that isn't gay or exclusive for the female MC. There are also does that seem hellbent on denying romance for some female characters despite the game showing otherwise. Such as VoidEnigma himself at Yinlin, Changli, Zhezhi and evne Carlotta(like seriously? Yikes dude). It's just weird how borderline obssessed some people are to disprove the romance that's clearly there as if to push an agenda just to deny fans the fan-service that comes with the gacha genre. No-one of your arguments to them friendzoning Rover make no sense, having played the game since launch myself. Especially after you go into their character stories and favorite items. Like very weird thing to do and to listen to. Especially the Changli one. It wasl ike you had a gun to your head from a tourist forcing you to deny the blatant romance. A female character having romance with Rover isn't contradictory to their development as characters. It's actually done quite well to enchance it. Their It really does speak to your bias when you say it's "unfortunate" to add a female character to the love meter. If you really can't handle it, then I'd suggest you stick to the stingy, barely any fanservice Hoyo gachas and their boring, platonic interactions, as the gacha genre isn't really for you.
Imo it's not the glazing that's a "problem" to me, it's the MC's struggle solving conflict that challanges their belief... I mean most of us watch/read a story to see the MC struggling against a conflict then come out victorious after so much struggle in the end then growing as a character, right? Like the good ol anime MCs, Goku, Naruto, Ichigo, Luffy, we watched them struggle and growth, and that made an interesting story imo. But in Rover's case, I see their role as an MC is to help other characters to grow instead of themselves, as we saw from the companion quests so far... which is not that bad to make an interesting story out of it, so long said characters aren't random NPCs
If they had more male stories this argument wouldn't exist because they'd be appealing to both Personally though I don't really have an issue with the story pacing because the MC actually does stuff I don't think there's been a moment where they've been needlessly praised for nothing it mainly came that shorekeeper quest from guess what nothing The only character feinding over rover is camellya but she just wants to defeat rover in battle Either way if you choose to see the ship its there if you don't it's not However the story does hint characters being interested in rover but never glazing It'd be worse if it were unwarranted and we were side characters in our story never seeing what we're capable of
There is no harem in Wuwa. The MC is coc- or cun- blocked by default - don't even need another character to do the blocking. Btw Kurogames was clearly influenced by Chinese xianxia/xuanhuan for the MC background story. Back to harems, just watch several donghuas and you can see it's all harems in every single one. Wuwa's MC however will likely never get a single romantic partner simply because they cannot do gay relationships and the MC is both genders without separate scripts, meaning the game itself NTRs the MC. So really, there is no harem in Wuwa, just friendzoned by default. You thought Carlotta was making moves on MC? If there was an option to propose, MC would be rejected. Yes, all characters are leading MC on, MC has no harem. Ironically in donghuas, they not only have harem, but they often become real partners, get married, etc. Clearly the MC in Wuwa is doing way worse than even your typical anime MCs that never progress in their relationships. This is because those at least makes it obvious there is romantic feeling, but Wuwa there is none lol. The characters are just playing the MC.
In my opinions, it’s not because there’s chemistry or one is holding Rover’s hand that it means there’s a love interest you can have chemistry with friends bro cmon now.
and all makes sense like Shorekeeper got awaken by Rover, Camellya has an obsession with him bcs of their pasts and multiple encounters and that’s it the others really have nothing going on to me. Just chemistry.
As long the story was good, I was okay with it, and having a high stake like posibble character death would be more awesome. But of course if the characters is playable they will possibly not death or it will loosing the immersion
It gets old when every character is glazing the mc , i know its a gatcha game and the playable characters being attracted to the mc is something normal but it's usually settle for the most part and the characters have other characters traits than just being a glazer but in wuwa its just straight up in your face and some characters whole reason of existence is the ride the sh*t out of rover meat and it's really starting to ruin my enjoyment of the story and characters
I feel like this video sadly glossed over the most wasted charecter in wuwa yangyang😭(my Shayla) her whole charecter was just made to glaze rover and be a love interest their relationship doesn’t even feel real since unlike Carlotta or jihnsi she JUST met him yet trust him completely alongside Chixia then they go on some little errand and that one cutscene where it looks like their falling inlove like The PROBELM with romance in gacha games isn’t that romance is bad it’s that if theirs so many love interest if they choose one the others just feel shallow
Talking about love meter, the one that hated Rover the most got to be Mahe, only beaten by Tethys System that want to use Rover for its core. This guy Mahe sell overpriced products that caused unimaginable loss to countless Rover across the world.
Do you guys even get the gist? It's always following same concepts, a place is in dire situation, half of the cast is useless and now rover has to save the day cause he's the lord arbiter
I absolutley despise the glaze. It would be nice to lock it behind dialogue choice so I don't have to cringe and the people who like wish fulfillment can still get it.
There is this one batshit crazy order npc in a quest you can hit on, but her liking you is tied behind dialogue choices. So happy I rejected her... dodged that bullet so hard 😂.
Would the type of people that got bothered by this is actually the self insert one? Because they want everything about mc to be relatable to their own view?
I think its the reverse, people who want self-insert mc want more glazing for their imagination/ego-stroking things, they want something they dont have. If mc have more character it should be more relatable as a human, like no human is liked by everyone, or all human have a weakness. I honestly want them to tone down the glazing, or make some characters romance/like other character (might be bad for those guys who want to monopolize their 2d women) or have someone hate mc reasonably. At the very least it should not happen that fast.
I personally don't like harems. I also hate harem animes. I don't wanna play a game where all the guys/girls fall for the mc. Plus, wuwa has very less males. I'll play the game once they'll release more males. Other than that, I have no criticisms.
you skipped the dialogue in the companion quests didn't you? lol, no iq hater. imo, all the characters have personality, they're not immaculately written, but they all have their quirks and unique skills and traits. L take.

I'm glad that this game has a main character that actually feels like an actual main character and not a glorified cameraman.
HOW COULD YOU BRO!!, CAMERAMAN NEVER DIES
Nooooo; but Zhongli said that supposed to be their role. It's not his fault that a God assigned him to be a bystander😢
@@KraNisOG in beta his aura is fucing dangerous to sanhua
Rover has Emiya's Luck with ladies EX
@@DartNguyen That's actually fairly interesting. I feel like both make sense as the dangerous aura would be representative of his power, but I also think him being seen for who he truly is does that as well, though less impactful.... I kinda like Rover with a dangerous aura to Sanhua though.
It's not theory anymore mate, it's confirmed already. Sanhua, Yangyang, and also Roccia said that PeroPero like Rover because his/her frequency
Saying Encore quest wasn't amazing is crazy. The emotions that quest had were off the chart. The ending was perfect, the music was perfect, and the story was perfect.
Preach Brother!
Encore's story was pure win.
I would not trust anyone who is not moved by it. They may have been replaced by robots or being brainwashed by aliens.
I think all the stories in Jinzhou heavily play into the fact that Rover's a figure that played a major role in the history of Sol-3 as a whole, and while it may throw some people off I think they handle it well (just that the writing was lacking due to massive rewrites) and that the pay off will be major
What reason is there for Rover to wipe their own memory?
95% of them just hater, they are not even play the game, the rest just go with the flow
A community will always blow an issue out of proportion, especially if it can generate memes ad nauseum.
What stood out to me in Xiangli Yao's quest(don't rember the details though I should revisit lol) is how they went into showing that the science as we know it do not exactly apply in Sol-3
We found out in 1.3 that "the only law that holds true in this world is gravity" and the researchers in XLY quest dedicated themselves to research, only to be hit the fact that they can never hope to comprehend the waveworn.
@ The waifu quests tell us bits of Rover's backstory and highlight their role in shaping Sol-3 as we know it
Tacet Discords do not just evolve, the way I understand it is that they are frequencies that are able to materialize due to the warped physics of Sol-3
Those frequencies naturally "merge" with other frequencies, or consume them, also taking on their properties. It's as natural as earth orbiting around the sun.
That's why tacet discords can sometimes speak with a human voice, that's not humans in them
There are TDs that are actually sentient though, at least as much as they can be. Shorekeeper is a "being of sonoro" or however they put it, and Lorelei had also been given a "soul"
Maybe the difference between TD is that it is a natural/supernatural force, and echo is a TD that takes on the will of its resonator? We can use echos for both utility and combat after all
@@imjustlikedenji5954 No I mean that they are evolving, not that they evolved. I'm not referring to Darwin's evolution, but instead using the term to reflect that they are getting stronger / more dangerous. They are frequencies, but they learning to absorb other frequencies and use them to an alarming degree.
Thanks for that summary and reminder. Man, that's a crazy thought. Makes me even more intrigued by the story
This amount of glazing is pretty normal for a wuxia
Yes.
And precisely the level and distance of what happens between Yangyang (when starting Black Shores storyline) and Carlotta (during her companion quest).
Bodylanguage and stares will show there is interest. But they won't act on that interest.
The condor trilogy was peak. Especially the 2nd one: Divine Eagle, Gallant Knight
Changli thought she would be okay hurting herself and giving her life away to protect others, hence why she was hurt so much
Rover would see repeatedly she insists on doing things alone, her feeling a responsibility to protect as someone posessing a powerful forte
The reason Rover tried to stop her because the stakes were that if Changli takes on all of that alone she might overclock and hurt herself, if not burn to death, they just didn't show the extent of how much her forte could hurt
Changli's gesture, holding Rover's hand while carefully thawing the ice on their face, was a display of her exceptional forte control and a testament to her efforts
If she were to continue on without regard for her own life just like before, she would never have prepared Jinhsi for her trials, never would have lead Rover to that decisive battle, and even then, Rover and Changli would have been trapped in that Somnoire
As for Rover, I feel there might have been a real reason as to why they wanted to wipe their own memory, perhaps there is a hidden truth that Rover is just not prepared for at the moment and the stories we learn about responsibility, about fighting despite the slimmest of chances, about value of life and that peace can not be built on suffering of others, all of those are things Rover had to learn on their way to prepare mentally for what's to come!
(Though Shorekeeper also talks about how Camellya was made in her Intimacy Reports and that The Shorekeeper allows Camellya to operate with freedom like how Rover's first thing to her was for Shorekeeper to operate freely.)
Since Camellya lacks free will and acts more like an animal, I wouldn't consider her to be love, or even glazing.
Wait, Camellya is an artificial resonator?
@@lesath7883 source: Camellya's character story unlocked at intimacy level 5
It is revealed that Rover in pre-Lament era was also a mysterious figure that caught the attention of various organizations, including Camellya's own organization.
@@lesath7883 just read her profile lore bro
Tbf i think the relationship between carlotta and rover is a little more romantic than you make it seem
I am glad the mc in this game FEELS like one instead of behaving like a npc
Keep the glaze coming
pls no... the amount of glazing rover gets is already annoying the fandom and if kuro keeps doing this they will kill their own game
Give props to rover for acting on his own accord and not some pipsqueak screaming (Abby has moments too)
P.S. Xiangli Yao's story gives off eerie vibes
Wuwa's MC is literally a perpetual, an immortal individual equivalent that of a Primarch. This is like expecting Imperial citizen not to glaze Roboute Guilliman 24/7
Yeah but people also have to keep in mind that Rover is not a perfect person, they have flaws that make their character a little more realistic.
@@kroposman2302 yeah I think they eventually will tackle on Rover's weaknesses/flaws
@@Gheniel_I feel they have been tackling MC's weakneses for a while.
@@kroposman2302I see you are a man of culture.
The Emperor protects.
Short aswer: No
Long answ: hell no, have you seen the dance comparison? It's so cringe to celebrate a victory alone, having a significant moment with the characters feels better
And by Lore: present Rover needs allies, using Thethis system, past Rover paved the way to cross paths and help them cuz they are Key individuals to fight the Lament
If those characters aren't on the Rover side (i.e.
Rover is literally god
That is my opinion on the harems and the glazing, Just keep the glazing at okay levels and dont overhype/underhype him.
no they’re definitely a self insert mc

Wasn't it explained that the reason Rover axed their memories is because they'd tried to solve the threat issue and always came up short, so the idea was to re-enter the world with a fresh perspective in hopes of finding something they never thought of or noticed before?
Even if other characters have glaze/relationship with Rover, at least he/she & they deserve it because Rover do have personality and Abby is just there to support em.
Unlike a certain game where the mascot always steal the spotlight meant for mc by lots of yaps & repeats.
Gathering wives
Honestly, I don't mind a bit of Rover glazing.... just wish there some male resonators to glaze the female MC (there was a little suggestion at the end of Jiyan's companion story - maybe my imagination - but must admit to loving it!!) Jiyan's story was great throughout
That's not saying I want all characters to be this way - but some of the time is fine
I think kuro might just take the same route for wuwa, although in this case, only time will tell if they manage to execute it well.
hmmm... I'm probably in minority but i never self-insert as Rover.
to me she's just one of female characters like other character.
when she's flirt with other is like she collecting harem for me 😂
More Glazing! MC have Rizz and its nice.
Man the whole event with XLY was a GIANT date with him ngl.
I didn't feel that way at all, but I'm a guy. Helping out a bro is normal
Rover is like a prophet, of course.
With me and the Glazing of Rover, if they make him out to be more of a character and less of a self-insert, I'd be 100% content with it.
The glaze isn't just based on romance
i think who says wuwa character to much glazing with rover is insane bro, its like they dont know to see a glimmer of hope in a cruel world
its wuwa man, not genshin, you have to be more mature in seeing what happened on that world, you should play less gooner game
Or it can also be because WuWa’s overarching story is just a Wuxia story in disguise given where it’s made lol.
My waves are wuthering rn 😫
Do you think 2.0 version forward still make Rover glazing simulator as it's focus?
I hope it does.
Glazing Rover is the best part of the game.
I think the two main driving factors of this are as follows:
1. Camellya's story quest was frankly unfinished. Half of the context is found in her character biography
2. The conclusion to the 1.4 MAIN STORY was awful.
There's nothing wrong with harem. Anyone who thinks otherwise has to prove the "problem" of it to begin with instead of just appealing to it
Storekeeper is my favorite 100% but Carlotta comes close second
Rover finished Aura Farming years ago 😤let him use it!
Their
It really does speak to your bias when you say it's "unfortunate" to add a female character to the love meter.
In my (humble) opinion: No
Thanks for your time
If they had more male stories this argument wouldn't exist because they'd be appealing to both
Personally though I don't really have an issue with the story pacing because the MC actually does stuff
I don't think there's been a moment where they've been needlessly praised for nothing it mainly came that shorekeeper quest from guess what nothing
The only character feinding over rover is camellya but she just wants to defeat rover in battle
Either way if you choose to see the ship its there if you don't it's not
However the story does hint characters being interested in rover but never glazing
It'd be worse if it were unwarranted and we were side characters in our story never seeing what we're capable of
No. We should never stop the glazing.
Glazing is the glue that makes WuWa stick together.
Long live glaze for Rover.
Ok. Time to watch the video.
Just chemistry.
ppl want MC to be glazing and ppl want to be a camera are different,
it is normal different company targeting different market
As long the story was good, I was okay with it, and having a high stake like posibble character death would be more awesome. But of course if the characters is playable they will possibly not death or it will loosing the immersion
It gets old when every character is glazing the mc , i know its a gatcha game and the playable characters being attracted to the mc is something normal but it's usually settle for the most part and the characters have other characters traits than just being a glazer but in wuwa its just straight up in your face and some characters whole reason of existence is the ride the sh*t out of rover meat and it's really starting to ruin my enjoyment of the story and characters
13:19 Would you like to explain that?😂
🤐😂
It's not up for the foreigners to decides, is it?
I feel like this video sadly glossed over the most wasted charecter in wuwa yangyang😭(my Shayla) her whole charecter was just made to glaze rover and be a love interest their relationship doesn’t even feel real since unlike Carlotta or jihnsi she JUST met him yet trust him completely alongside Chixia then they go on some little errand and that one cutscene where it looks like their falling inlove like
The PROBELM with romance in gacha games isn’t that romance is bad it’s that if theirs so many love interest if they choose one the others just feel shallow
I like glazing, but it has to be earned like in PGR where Commandant is a giga-chad that goes trough hellfire to save his robo waifus and husbandos.
It's only about half. We need more gathering wives.
Wdym about half?
Gathering Wives is my favorite hobby.
@@Gheniel_ according to the "love meter" as shown in the video, only half of the characters show romantic interest
@@achilles288-r3n oh you were talking about that,
Really even if the glaziing stop it ain stopping the fanfic people just weird that way look at the manga community solid example
Talking about love meter, the one that hated Rover the most got to be Mahe, only beaten by Tethys System that want to use Rover for its core. This guy Mahe sell overpriced products that caused unimaginable loss to countless Rover across the world.
My only question is why do you care so much it's just a game dude but the developers live out their fantasy through their characters
Oh I would be willing to swipe my card if they stopped yapping Lord Arbiter lord arbiter the moment when other characters are in a pickle
who yapping lord arbiter? beside jue and other sentinel?
@@nguyenphuvinh-du3drWuwa players have this strange belief where if something happens once, it happens all the time
@ im sure he is not wuwa player, more like trash game addicter
Do you guys even get the gist? It's always following same concepts, a place is in dire situation, half of the cast is useless and now rover has to save the day cause he's the lord arbiter
@@nguyenphuvinh-du3drThis is the reason I don't like you kuroturds who thinks just cause someone has an unfavorable opinion, he belongs to mihoyo
I wouldn't mind the glazing if it came from men as well...
No
Yeah stay focused on the plot, Void! 😂
I hope Brant will be my female Rover wife for this season 😊.
❤❤❤
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I personally don't like harems. I also hate harem animes. I don't wanna play a game where all the guys/girls fall for the mc. Plus, wuwa has very less males. I'll play the game once they'll release more males. Other than that, I have no criticisms.
I don't mind a harem as long as it's done good and organic
It is too much like the charcaters don't have personality
Other that yangyang most do.
clearly you didn't pay attention to a single companion quest lol
you skipped the dialogue in the companion quests didn't you? lol, no iq hater. imo, all the characters have personality, they're not immaculately written, but they all have their quirks and unique skills and traits. L take.
It's time for viodenigma to take a break from CC and the internet
