    Thank you for these great videos. Really clear and concise.
    Question: Where did those permanent marker timing marks on the flywheel come from? Did you add them? How? No such marks on mine.

      I added the permanent marker marks so the viewer could see where the dibbles were on the bottom edge of the flywheel. if you look on the underside of the flywheel, you should see two marks 180 degrees apart. these are the timing marks to line up with those on the armature plate.

    I have same motor it ran good then it would not starter the next year I think old gas dumped old gas spray carb cleaner and try to start it still would not start next im going to see if I have spark

      If you have spark, i would get a carb kit and give the carb a good cleaning. I find with many engines that have trouble starting, the problem is the low speed passages. perhaps its your points, but its unlikely that both would stop working at the same time. Always use premium gas with stabilizer, and never leave gas in the tank or carb over winter.

      Have not checked spark yet I have to get one with a light on plug wire thanks for the info

      Just out of curiosity, have you seen the coils? Are they cracked?
