Love the vintage content! 54:20 why not go for the win straight away with ritual, doomsday then exile some cards with necro and just cast the oracle from hand? Didn't seem like they could have force in that spot

At 16 minutes is there any reason not to Lotus ritual duress consult doomsday doomsday brainstorm lotus ancestral mox sapphire oracle?
Doomsday recycling Lotus in this scenario is actually so sick, line only relies on Ancestral not being exiled but probably worth it.
If you consult and exile any of ancestral, mox, or 2x oracle your line fails so yes :p although ancestral can be replaced by wraiths, but there is some risk involved
At 16 minutes it might have been kind of sketch but the following turn it was pretty close to a deterministic win if he had played properly. Sac lotus for BBB, dark ritual, go up to 1 U from land and 5B, cast demonic consultation to get doomsday, cast it and stack mox opal + land in the 5 cards with oracle + probe + street wraith. then cast ancestral after doomsday resolve. he would still have 1 mana left over to pay for daze at any point and can pitch brainstorm to force to beat pyroblast. Still gets messed up if opponenet drew into another counter or potentially the consultation could have messed this up but i think its overall pretty unlikely.
Great video LSV. You have a knack for playing & explaining your moves at the same time that cannot be equaled. Your diction is also very good (not too fast unlike a lot of other TH-camrs.) A+
Wait at 45 mn couldn't you DT for Oracle into next turn Oracle->Consult with Force backup ?
50:32 A possible line without the presence of counters is also, land > jet > DT > Consultation > Pass > land > consultation for flame sweep > oracle > win

Back in my day, you had to memorize 10 pages of Doomsday stacks before you could even think about playing the deck. What has Magic become these days?
Back in my day we Doomsdayed into Beacon of Destruction loops. AND WE LIKED IT.

Power creep happened, people talking about the bannings more so often that we overlook how Thassa's Oracle made winning easier for some decks and actually broke Pioneer never to recover again.

Honestly im surprised at how low-level playing this was. LSV was just jamming spell after spell, countering basically anything he could. Thats not how you win at vintage... Im rather surprised by this gameplay tbh.

Question is, would he win? Gush doesn't work on turn one, doomsday exiles the yard so dig and cruise don't work so what's the winning pile? I'm curious...
After thinking about it for a bit, the first problem is that we can't cast Duress off Sea and still cast Brainstorm (required to draw anything off the Doomsday) so that line opens us up to Force on Lotus. Then, even if they don't do that, we're casting Brainstorm (post Doomsday) with no mana available and only Force in hand so we have to put 2 cards back on top and still somehow cast Oracle with
@@2LettersSho yes the lotus would be vulnerable to a force which would stop a turn one kill, but I doubt that they would force a blind lotus and if they did, it’s not like we spent any extra cards, so it’s not a bad thing. It just slows us down, but we still have the combo. The comment below me by Henry explains the line.

In the last game, couldn't you just have played Doomsday before activating Necropotence 4 times? That way you would have had Flusterstorm in hand to counter both Bolts?

Couldn't you respond to the bolt in that last match by cycling street wraith, casting gush, and then flusterstorm?
Street wraith cycle puts him to 2 and the triggers from Sprite dragon would then make it able to hit for lethal
