      I could not see it from up top but I managed to get it from underneath. Just work out about where it should be and feel around, you can't see it but you can get your arm up there and you'll find it. It's only sticking out an inch or so, but you'll find the rubber hose with the flap on the end. I just gave the flap a hard twist so it wouldn't close back up again.

    Thanks for the help! I noticed your drainage line doesn't have a clamp on it. I had a hard time getting the clamp off and an even harder time getting it back on. Is it necessary?

      To be honest I don’t know, it never had any on mine and i have never had any problems with it so guess you can take it off :)

      @@billwhalen1811 if its not clogged it should not leak as the gravity helps to drain all condensed water 😜

    Thank you a lot for this video. Is it possible, to clean the drain from outside under the car?

    • @LOCOTouareg
      @LOCOTouareg  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      maybe, but i would be very hard to get to, and you need to make sure that whatever is clogging the drain needs to go out, not back to the condenser tank

      There is a very easy way to do this. You'll need a long pole, but the outlet for the condensate line is accessable through the engine compartment. At least on my '14 Touareg it is.

    I just bought a Toureg 2 and am having the same problem but now that I cleaned the passenger side....the right side floor ia getting wet. Is there a clean out also on the right side?

    • @LOCOTouareg
      @LOCOTouareg  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      hi, there is no condenser tank on driver side, most likely you have sunroof drain problem or drain trays in engine bay, you can access them buy removing wheel fender liner, its a rubber thing with cross cut in it and you can get rid of them to let water and junk go down freely :)

    Is there a tank on each side of console? I'm getting moisture on both sides?

    • @LOCOTouareg
      @LOCOTouareg  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      no, tank is only on passenger side, but you can have water leak on both side when doing sharp right turn

    It's God-damned astounding how many design fails there are on this vehicle

      This car is very complex for sure, but such problems are common on every car that I know

      @@LOCOTouareg I get that all cars have issues but I'm talking about the design itself. In this case the condenser is technically INSIDE the cabin, it's like taking a window air conditioner and instead of dropping the window on the middle of it you drop it on the very end. Same thing with the battery being under the driver's seat, just a bunch of things that make you wonder what their thought process was...
