Connor MacLean the thing is that alex goot has been around for a long time so he's gotta get praise/criticize here and there but a lot of peps knows rebecca through her infamous "friday" song which was produced pretty bad. she slipped under the radar for some time and, after many years, the peps found her again and are amazed how much she changed. so it's no surprise she'll get praised a lot. also, in my opinion, girl singers tends to get more praises than guys so it's natural to most ppl.

Agree. She actually sounds pretty average, imo. She's not a bad singer by any margin but also has never displayed any impressive singing ability. It's nice but also a dime a dozen. And I thought the same when I first heard Friday. It's more that people wanted something to make fun of, because it's really easy to hate on something. The song was dumb, but I've heard much worse. Tbh, most songs on the radio have just as many shitty lyrics, but no one cares because they never listen and just follow along with what's popular.

It makes me so upset when people tell me Rebecca Black is an awful singer, when all they've heard is Friday, where she clearly has extreme amounts of auto tune. I never argue with people, I just tell them that they should educate themselves by listening to anything else she's sung.

Javier PerezCruz but it's a catchy tune and if you've ever listened to german party music, you would know that the people don't have to catch any notes, don't even need real words as lyrics and that melody doesnt count as long as somehow it's catchy. And Rebecca can sing, there are lyrics AND it's a catchy melody, a perfect potential party hit, at least in Germany ;)

Katy perry couldn't sing two correct notes even if her life depended on it. Katy has an extremely weak voice, she cracks, she can't keep a note, she's not a good singer and she will never be a good singer.
