Wel to make something that actually feels like a fantasy novel or a fantasy world it’s hard and I’m surprised the dark crystal did it which is the reason why I love it and addicted to it!!!
Unpopular opinion: Frank Oz was the best puppeteer. He performed Augra, Chamberlin and the High Priest and other side characters. Their movements were absolutely flawless with amazing fluidity, imo. They’re so full of life and personality.
Considering Henson often called Frank Oz his "other half", there's actually some anecdotal evidence to support you and Oz was clearly key in company's success in years to follow. If you get the chance I highly recommend the Age of Resistance series which continues the outstanding tradition not only in its puppetry but in evocatively imaginative writing. Best wishes. JT
Aughra kind of reminds me of Tia Dolma, AKA Calypso, from Pirates of the Caribbean. Like the way she is direct with her statements especially when she is explaining things. Just something I noticed maybe Aughra is where the writers got the idea for Tia Dolma from or they have a similar source material. There is some classical mythology and philosophy in Dark Crystal. So that's probably why I am seeing that similarity.

My sister-in-law built this while she was the creative producer on Dark Crystal. Very proud and impressed with her work.
I am trying to build a small model of this, I would love to know how she did it!
❤
She is awesome 😊
I want that in my living room
I could imagine her as Yoda's sister in an alternate reality.
Yoda speaking through the force: "That's why I left home and never came back it is. Would you?"
"End, begin, all the same."
The end of one thing is the beginning of something else just as the beginning of one thing is the end of something else.
As Tally Hall so perfectly put it, "every end of a time is another begun"
Lots of hard work went into this movie
Took them 5 years I believe

Aughra is a great character
Growing up with this movie is amazing. Just the music and the majestic movements. Just a underated masterpiece. Shameful that they didnt finished AoR.

@@DanSolo0119 oh, you’re right! My bad.
There is much to be learned and we have no time.
Imagine if one of those model planets is the Goblin planet
If the World of the Labrinth existed in the same universe, then that would mean it would have its own crystal, just like Thra
😮🤯 DUDE!!!
1:54 how she puts the triangle up to her eye cracks me up every time lol
Never mind what I commented when SkekSil the Chamberlain was saying hmm. I forgot how funny Aughra was in this scene particularly.
Aughra: Everything In The Heavens Is Here.
Billions of stars? Trillions of planets? :)
@@samsypooOr just the ones the Urskeks knew of at the time of their arrival to Thra.

Billie did a great job as the character here. That must have been a lot of work to make her voice sound gruff for Aughra
Allah is it ok if I fall asleep again please soon 😭
Very surprised Billie Whitelaw voiced her.
That mist have been a heavy amount of work to do the voice
I never noticed that she is the aries
