The Fish of a LIFETIME... (I couldn't believe my eyes!) 👀

  • Lure fishing for pike, perch and zander and we catch an INCREDIBLE fish. I never expected to see this on our 3 day fishing trip to the Netherlands. Success on all fronts including pike fishing, perch fishing and zander fishing in some of the coolest locations i've ever fished. In chronological order, we fish the canals of Vinkeveen, Utrecht city centre, Amsterdam city centre and a sizeable dutch park lake. Cruising the streets at night on an e-bike and getting stuck in to the local culture, we really did do it all! The fishing overall was very slow considering how long we fished, but seeing that fish at the end made it all worthwhile. I'm not sure i'll ever see a fish like that again! I know it may not be the fish of a lifetime to some of you guys, especially the specimen anglers, but i've been fishing for years and it comfortably doubles any i've ever had in size!
Took me a LONG time to edit this one so I really appreciate you watching! If you did enjoy the video and want to see more from the channel then please consider hitting that subscribe button! Drop a like to if you can, every single one really helps. Let me know what you thought of the video in the comments below too and i'll get back to you as soon as I can! As always, thanks for watching and hopefully i'll see you here on Adventure Fishing UK for the next episode!
HUGE thank you to ‪@NetfishnChill‬ for showing us around the city and completely putting us to shame on the fishing front. He's regularly catching big perch and big zander from these street fishing locations on his channel. I'd massively appreciate it if you headed over to his channel and subscribed to him if you haven't already, you can do that here! • HUGE perch in Amsterda...
And of course, big shoutout to ‪@japanesefishingadventures‬ , the trip wouldn't be possible without him! Same goes here, another great channel to check out if you haven't already. Me and him have actually recently started a funky fishing clothing brand together, and you can check that out here: 4castclothing....
Most of the gear used here including line, rods and reels are from Rigged and ready travel rods. If you're interested, you can get 10% off anything using discount code AFUK10 at checkout! riggedandready...
    Catch you down the road!

I have just discovered your channel and as I have moved to Kendal, after 58 years in the Sarf east, it is great to see some local fishing, young man. I have a Dutch wife and lived in between Rotterdam and Europort for a, too, short time . The fishing in t'Netherlands is great every where ; I was five minutes walk away from 20lb + Snoek. Caught my PB zander on the ebro in Spain, a 1.06m lean beast that weighed 8.5kg’s
A tip: bump your jighead as slowly as possible over the bottom.. or use dropshot and leave it hanging and retreive as slowly as possible.
Walk of the deeper walls of the docks in the city, they lay just next to it.
Find the deeper currents in the day, shallower banks in warmer nights.
    Good luck!

Only 10 minutes into your video now and already enjoying it so much cause it's great to see everything I am familiar with from your point of view. I've lived in the city of Utrecht for over 14 years, before I moved to a small village. And I have a job as a teacher in Amsterdam for almost 12 years now. The city of Utrecht only has a population of 360k though and in the province of Utrecht 1.3 million, which is in size about as big as London I think. I'm kinda jealous seeing you guys fish since I didn't have much time for fishing lately, but I did buy a foldable kayak for fishing and can't wait to try it out.
