Sir, you are a genius. That is one of the COOLEST and smartest riding lawnmower conversations I have seen in a while. You should go into the business of building these for the consumer. You could save the public a fortune over buying side-by-sides and still make money. I hope only success for this idea. THANK YOU FOR THE VIDEO. Have A Productive Day! 🚜⚒️🧰
This is nothing too original, I converted an old lawn tractor using a dump trailer. It was an old Rubber Made lawn tractor trailer with the bed made out of hard plastic. I just added additional pieces of box tubing to strengthen the frame and to add mounts for the transaxle. Unfortunately the engine gave out and I haven’t found another one cheap enough to replace it, so it is back to using a trailer again. And by the looks of those welds, he shouldn’t be making these for anyone. This is just a simple redneck engineered project that serves this man really well and will probably inspire others to try and do the same to their old lawn tractor.
The bolt-on retrofit kit would be a great idea. Any way to save the consumer the thousands of dollars it cost to buy the least expensive side-by-side is good. Thank You for new ideas to consider. Have A Productive Day! 🚤🧰🛠️🗜️
Pretty cool project! I used an old lawn cart/trailer to make something similar. I used an old trailer made by Rubber Made and just added some box tubing to stretch and strengthen the frame and add attachment points for the axle. So I have sides and a tailgate to haul loose gravel and sand/dirt. I needed to add a handle for the dump, like you did. I was just reaching behind the seat and pulling the small latch that keeps the bed locked down. I got my hand pinched several times that way. And I definitely need a “headache” rack added, been poked in the back many times with branches. And I said was because the engine gave out on mine and I haven’t replaced or rebuilt it yet. I bet I could modify my set up so I could swap out the dump bed for a flatbed. There were times that I which I had a wider and longer area to move down limbs and other branches that I have trimmed from my trees. Right now I am back to using a trailer and my new lawn tractor, but after seeing your building think I need to replace/rebuild my engine and start using it again.
As it happens I have a spare lawn tractor and have been wondering what to do with it. THIS is a great idea! I would add stake pockets and a rack to carry yard tools ... I also would like to see about securely mounting my cement mixing tub for carrying loose stuff. Now ... come up with a way to mount a (light & CHEAP) brush hog mower on the front and maybe dual wheels on the rear!
Come on Dave!!! Stop teasing me!!!Wanna see how much that puppy can haul now! Show us a nice load for it to carry Lawn tractors are awesome. They can pull some weight! Have a '07 Troy Bilt I wired for a stadium! LOL!
Could you possibly do a Video UPDATE and show where on the frame underneath you welded the new metal tubes to? I have a Cub Cadet and need to buy a new mower next year, but the electronic and motor are still in excellent running condition! I want to turn it into THIS!!! Awesome build!!!
I like it. Ok, let's (your doing all the work) convert a pickup truck into a giant mower next. You'd get 10 million views, basically a 100 grand cash, in your wallet. Also, if you convert a mower into a tiny micro RV, maybe a micro winnebego clone..that's another 100 grand cash, in your wallet. Converting an RV into a houseboat or even a camper into a houseboat or all season dock, now your up 300 grand maybe 400 grand cash, in your wallet. that you keep in your vault, in your mansion.
I would worry about the lawn tractor frame strength....I had to fix one of those for a friend and where you connected it to back part, is exactly where his broke. The seat upright and original axle angle pieces tend to break fairly easily.....just be careful!
Interesting. It has the behind the seat 3 to 3.5 gasoline tank like my Ariens made at the same factory..most have then battery under the seat and the smaller 1.5? Gallon tank by the steering
Too cool, and you actually could have retained the deck so you could still cut grass, all it would take is an extended pulley and longer hanging brackets, great video good engening, Subbed

too long, should have made it so you sit on top of the engine so you retain the shortness. Thats a lot for the frame to span. Gonna flex a lot. The bed should be made out of metal, not wood. And thats not gonna dump easily. Make a better video too so we can see it driving. Should have set up a tripod.
My older brother is a avid pessimist. I'm not saying you are, but I know my older brother better, and he sure is and I think he knows that I know that he knows, he seems intelligent enough to be cognitive of his recommendations, but he's more of a defeatest and would say that not everyone wants to build their own pickup truck, and that factories do a way better job just to twist the knife before he walks away lol.
When they see that feed bag rolling around the hobby farm, eventually a chicken magnet, and then theres all this avian poo coating everything about 20 feet deep, and you've got a monolith that bird watchers will visit from miles around, and theyre are millions of bird watchers that are going to want to buy shirts and binoculars and supplies while theyre there. And then you've got all this money, and with this, you can the ugliest looking duckling and be a chick magnet.

That is the most useful critter build.
Next we'll see tiny mower truck life videos
That's really cool. I'd make the bed wider like a flatbed truck so the bed covers the back wheels.
I'd make it aluminum, wider, with stake pockets. That way you could haul firewood or more stuff without falling off.
At least 5 foot wide and about 8 foot long on the bed would work and add the brackets for some sides on it
I'd make it 80 feet by 100 feet and add neon lights around the border so Elon could land his rockets on it.
I like that, you did a great job recycling the old mower to make a very useful hauler for lots of yard and home projects. Well done 👍
Thanks 👍
very well done!

All he would need to do is produce a BOLT ON KIT
The bolt-on retrofit kit would be a great idea. Any way to save the consumer the thousands of dollars it cost to buy the least expensive side-by-side is good. Thank You for new ideas to consider. Have A Productive Day! 🚤🧰🛠️🗜️

Great idea! I've got a old craftsman mower setting around and I'm gonna have to whip this up for a hay hauler for horses.
I love the small wheel lawn tractors with the big V-twins in them.
Excellent! A great option for those of us that cant afford a side by side.
That’s cool! I would use that everyday on the property.
That is a very clever idea. Thanks for sharing.
Nice very nice - great project - Love it. Going to try one myself
Go for it!
Bro you did a great job on making your truck. Awesome job !!
Thanks
Neat project! Now you can read the comments and find out from people who have never done anything how you should have built it.😂
YEP, AMAZING how you can get some GREAT ideas from others that are perceived as idiots LOL
That's a clean build my guy! Nice job!! Idea and execution!
Almost looks like a golf cart ..nice !
Pretty cool !
👍😎
Definitely inspiration for similar projects
Bro! That’s a great build!
Very cool and simple too.
Sure is!
Very nice conversion and an excellent idea
Nice repurpose for your needs from reasonable resources.
Thanks for sharing.
What a great original idea! I know what I can do with the two mowers I have out back now.
Go for it!
That’s really cool! I’d fab. some toolboxes or utility baskets, under the wheelwells to take up that empty space.
Welp know what I'm doing to my old riding mower now thanks for sharing.
Very cool! I'm picturing a 'C' cab and stake side racks like the old Model T trucks could be in your future? Thanks for sharing.
That would be cool!
Awesome! Great job, well done.
I like that. It looks quite handy.
Good project. Looks cool.
That is too neat! Love it..
Very cool idea. Never seen something like this! Awesome
Thank you! Cheers!
A man could pull reel finish mowing frame with this. Really cut his yard cutting time down.
Long full build! I like it!
Seems very useful, great idea, put into action !👍
thats a sweet build man! id recomend putting like springs to assist with the dump feature of the flatbed
Yeah I my might put a electric actuator to dump the flatbed in the future

Yes. It needs stake pockets for sideboards to haul firewood, ETC. And rings to attach tie down straps.
Who needs a Gator? This is so cool man 👍
Come on Dave!!! Stop teasing me!!!Wanna see how much that puppy can haul now! Show us a nice load for it to carry
Lawn tractors are awesome. They can pull some weight!
Have a '07 Troy Bilt I wired for a stadium! LOL!
Sweet ride.
you have done a great job on this tractor i like well done sir
Thanks 👍
That is impressive! You should start selling them.
Don't put a lot of weight on the back until you fix the welds on the frame. It's not going to hold up
Get er done Sonny 👌

PRETTY NEAT I ENJOYED THE VIDEO VERY MUCH
That's pretty darn cool, I've gotta say.
Put some utility doors on it to cover up the wheel openings with tool boxs behind them to keep gloves/ toilet paper/beer etc
Cool 😎 thanks
Instant like and subscribe 👍
Didn't even wait for the video to play 😂
Thanks for subscribing👍😊
I love the idea man thank you
That is freaking awesome !
I like it.

Riding mowers are so much cooler when they dont mow grass anymore
Put wood rack around the flat bed, excellent for hauling firewood 😊
Thanks for the tip
Very cool
TuffTorque K46 has left the chat
very cool!!
Good job
Come to WNY and Do this to My Husqvarna it currently don't run lol
Kool
Neat!
How much did it effect the turning radius.
It's not as sharp as it was, but it still turns good enough. Thanks for asking!
@@DavesRCHobby I'll be trying it for sure. Thanks for sharing.
Now that's sswwweeeettTTT!
This isn't a lawnmower, it's a longmower
Just might be onto something there? 🤔
fancy
LongBoooyyyyyyyy. Need dually.
why not just hook up a utility cart to the rear hitch? John Deere makes some great utility dump carts in various sizes.
What size is that belt ???
It's a 153 inch B belt.
Great!
I’m not trying to be rude but I wouldn’t use a husqvarna The frames can be weak sometimes
I hauled over 500 pounds with it and nothing broke!
@@DavesRCHobbynot yet but did you see those Chinese welds🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️ better get someone that knows how to weld to gusset up that frame!
Very 👍
Thank you! Cheers!
NICE !
Thanks!
🙂👍
Wouldn't it be cheaper just to put a trailer behind the mower😮
There are those that take the Hard Road and DO, & then there are those that take the Easy Road & DON'T ..... or CANNOT !! 😏
👍👍👍👍👍
tow your splitter to the tree, then fill 'er up.
Too cool, and you actually could have retained the deck so you could still cut grass, all it would take is an extended pulley and longer hanging brackets, great video good engening, Subbed
It would High center on the mower deck any time the ground rose up more than an inch or two or three.......
That belt to motor must be 8 ft long
It's a 12ft B belt
And cheaper than a golf cart with a bed.
You just need a kei truck
👍😎
This was my idea.
Said the talking dog, to the talking space ship..
Or just use a wagon...
I would have had used metal only not wood
It's great to have an imagination but you need much more practice at welding.
Thanks I'm 14 years old and this is my first time welding with a cheap mig.

👋 from Pemba I'm 14 also.

Don't waste the meat.

Ruined a good husqvarna tractor, take bed off put deck back on
