    Hey everyone!
    This episode we travel about 5 hours north with our four year old daughter Charlie winter camping for two days to test out the NEW Pomoly freestanding DOME X6 tent. Cooking up tacos and amazing steaks on the fire. Hiking to the ( Grotto ) one of our favorite natural features and just hanging out in the tent watching the Pomoly Dweller Max 2.0 like a full size fireplace!

    Hi everyone! Thanks for watching. We are so excited to try out our new Pomoly X6 family Hottent. We also tried out a new external mic so please excuse the poor audio at times 🙏

    Awesome family winter camping adventure. Great tent but takes time to set it up. I went with Bereg UP2 hot tent with inner liner...tent goes up in about 1 minute, no poles.Added 3 layer floor pad. They are designed for brutal-50c to -60c cold weather in Siberia. Been camping in Northern Ontario in -25c to - 35c without a hitch...temp reached +25c to +30c in the tent. Expensive tents,but worth every penny, well built to last a lifetime. Thanks for the share 👊

      Thanks so much for watching! I love RBM tents. I first saw it on Jay Legere and thought it was amazing! I now see their blow up tents. It just keeps getting better and better.
      Happy winter camping 🍻

    Wanna upgrade to the dweller series stove. Good thing tax season coming. Have the t1mini3 and x4 pro version. Great tent but want bigger stove for coldest part of winter or bigger tents. Use the mini in my smaller tents

      @HisandHersOutdoors  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Well I must say that is a good setup you have! I'm definitely looking forward to some really cold weather to see how well the Dweller works. We will be able to load it up good and damp it down. Right now the stove is way too hot!! Which is a great problem to have 😆
      I saw your Instagram setup with the X4 Pro. Looks amazing 👏

      @@HisandHersOutdoors looks like a great stove. Mine works pretty well but think when gets zero or below bigger stove be nice to have. Hopefully longer burn time also. Be nice to have different options so more comfortable temps

      Thanks! Yes it's a full queen. It's Huge and I sleep on a large Cot. Lots of room that's forsure 🍻

      @@HisandHersOutdoors Thanks for the info! I've been debating getting one of these for use with 3 cots and a Kni-co Alaskan Jr. stove. It seems like if it fits a queen and cot it should fit 3 cots and still have room to move around.

    Hello guys, what a great adventure you had. I'm working a night shift and while doing that I'm watching your video (picture in picture so I remain productive XD) I'm waiting for my X4 at the moment. I just got an update from DHL and the tent is about to leave Miami on its way to Chile, so by Tuesday I'll receive it.
    I'm really looking forward to this tent as I've never been hot tenting before, although I'll have to wait until April to do that, since it's our summer here in South America.
    By the end of March I'll buy the stove as there's no need for it right now. I'm torn between the Dweller Max 3.0, the 2.0 or the baker stove. So many great products by Pomoly makes it kind of hard which one to pick XD.
    I hope everything's going well for you and your family.
    All the best from Chile!

      Hi there,
      Thanks so much for watching and your gonna love the X4. We purchased the Dweller Max 2.0 based on price compared to the 3 and Baker oven but I hear ya! We absolutely love woodstoves! Have great times with that X4 🍻

    • @sydgerald

      @@HisandHersOutdoors Yeah I'm impatiently waiting for the tent, I have Monday and Tuesday off, so it would've been great if it had arrived on Monday, but either Friday or Saturday morning my girlfriend and I are going camping. I think I'll get the Max 2.0 I've been comparing it to the Max 3.0 and apart from the side glass on the 3.0 I can't find anything else. I liked the idea of the baker, but I rather having a larger burning area than the stove, so unless something changes it seems We'll get the Max 2.0 by the end of March.

    The tent floor is only clicked into buckles at the corners of the tent, right? In this way, is the tent safe against insects such as ticks, spiders, etc?

    • @HisandHersOutdoors
      @HisandHersOutdoors  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hey how's it going!! I'm actually sitting at the fire as I write back to you in this tent. There is a non attached gap that could easily let critter in but I honestly would only use this tent for winter camping, late late fall and right now. We have been in this tent for two nights and it's 16°c and it's perfect but soon we will put it away till next winter season.
      It's absolutely pouring rain right now and the clip in floor keeps all the rain and wet ground out just to report 👌

      @HisandHersOutdoors  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      We did just receive the Pomoly Locomotive 3 tent with similar click in floor but the difference is that the bedroom has a built in zipped up inner that would keep everything out. You should check it out well be uploading a vid soon with it 🍻

    What do you think the likelihood of fitting 2 xl cots and an xxl cot is with this tent and a stove. I already have 2 teton sports xl cots with pads and a disc-o-bed xxl bunk bed cot setup that i would only use a single bunk from otherwise I would get smaller cots. I wish I could see one of these x6 tents somewhere in person before buying!

      Hey there, we have a huge full queen hi-rise air mattress and I fit my XL Cot with room. I'd say you could fit all of those right where we have our air mattress set up.

    Have they changed the design to stop water pooling on the top even with the cover in place?

    • @HisandHersOutdoors
      @HisandHersOutdoors  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Hey there, did that happen to you with the older version? We had it rain pretty good without the rain fly even on, and it didn't pool. The old version didn't have a separate rain fly. This rain fly is pretty sweet and has the built-in stove jack to work with the wood stove.
      Hope that helps at all, and thanks for watching 🍻

      @HisandHersOutdoors Hi, I'd seen some videos Outdoor Gear review, and he had mentioned that issue. Trying to decide between Pomoly or the Nortent Gamme.

    • @HisandHersOutdoors
      @HisandHersOutdoors  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @BrokenVikingOutdoors I could be wrong but I think that is the previous version. We're looking forward to getting gbit out in the heavy rain.
      I definitely wouldn't compare this tent with pomoly or Nortent. They are full 4 season tents at a fraction of the weight. We have the Dome X6 and love it! But sitting at the fire in the Panda Air Large is a whole different level of comfort 👍 let us know what ya go with.

    Used this tent for 1 month and it is very poorly designed for the high wind. 2 broken poles, one bended. Wind gets underneath the flaps (which have no gromets or some way to keep them to the ground). This tent needs twice more guylines, better zipper design (they get stuck in corners) and certainly better storage bag (I prfer old style one end side loaded bags with comression straps).

    • @HisandHersOutdoors
      @HisandHersOutdoors  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Oh man that sounds terrible! We've had the opposite experience. However, without the inner tent and the groundsheet I could see how air could get in but with the groundsheet it stops that. Hope the rest of your camping season gets better 🍻
