Thank God for your persistence and getting more opinions. My nephew was diagnosed a few years ago with stage 4 cancer which was in his intestines and other inner areas. Very scary. He was eligible for a type of treatment that doesn’t work for everyone. Anyway he started the treatment 3-4 years ago. He is now testing cancer free. But I have to mention that his attitude about it has been so positive. I have not heard one complaint from him or anything negative. He just went about his life, took the treatments, and I am so impressed with his attitude. Anyway he also is so dear to me that I’m grateful he is doing well. I lost my oldest son in ‘18 to kidney disease and really struggled with his death. Now I’m just thankful I have not lost Jeremy too. Thank you for your hard work and all the enjoyment I get from watching your channel. Love from the Seattle area.
Thank you for sharing your skin cancer story & I'm glad you found a Dr that you trust. I have lost several family members to cancer so it's incredibly important to stay on top of your diagnosis with a good doctor. 👍 ❤
I've heard people with success stories using Ivermectin (horse paste) I take daily, Castor Oil, Black pine tar all natural too. I was blown away reading reviews of people who use Castor oil!
(Bad Joke Time!) Do you Realize that if you had let the Dr. take the finger, you'd Never be able to share the story about treating the other hand and point to it with your " Now Missing" Right Index finger?
First, thank you for sharing your story on finding out about your skin cancer. My father has been dealing with it since he served 21 years in the US ARMY. I also served 7 years Active US ARMY myself and got out in 2023. This year just days after my birthday in February of this year I got diagnosed with leukemia. Since finding out my diagnosis I found your channel. With not working right now I stay home and watch your videos and find them very pleasant. Thank you and continue to do what you do
I so enjoy all of your adventures Luke. I'm a 73 year old lady with my camping abilities behind me due to some health issues. But my memories live on. I enjoyed your "Ghost Adventure" and laughed when you were in that tiny orange tent with the winds about to blow you away! I love how you have fun with all your adventures. GOD BLESS you Luke for bringing some enjoyment to me!!
73 isn't really Old. I don't camp out like I use to.But ride around looking for cool places. My new hobby. Always looking for a Perfect place. Have a Great day 73.
Thanks for sharing about the skin cancer, Luke. I’m 68 and still getting out there. I find your video very relaxing and knowledgeable. Thanks. Stay in it!! ❤
My husband has had Squamous, Basil and Melanoma skin cancers. He’s fair skinned and has worked in the Sun since he was fifteen. He has survived the Melanoma cancer so far. That one is really nasty. It went into his Lymphatic System. I’m glad you found a good doctor to treat you. ❤
I have been pretty grateful to our local firefighters here in WV. We had a fire within 1/2 mile of our house. I had all of my important papers stuffed in my go-bag and had our escape route planned. Our awesome volunteer firefighters had it out in about an hour. On a side note: everytime I watch one of your videos, I find myself pausing the video and getting up to cook something good.
Much respect to you for sharing your cancer story Luke. Sending you positivity for a healthy, happy outcome. Love to you and your family. You bring so much peace and joy to your viewers with your trips and adventures. Thank you. Be well.
Luke I'm up here in Western NC as well and have been battling skin cancer for 20 plus years. Unfortunately I have so many surgeries I look like one big scar. But it beats the alternative! Keep on top of it and Strength and Honor back at ya!
Luke,my John had melanoma skin cancer on his nose and they took it off. Unfortunately they found more in his lymph nodes and we fought it for several years. I lost him in 2022,so please keep up your active watching on your body!!🙏❤️
I had basal cell cancer on my forehead. It was removed by excision. Seven years later a different dermatologist discovered that it had not all been removed & had grown back under the skin. It was the size of a half dollar & touching my skull. He did Mohs surgery & was able to remove all of it. I have to look very closely to see the scar now. Skin cancer can happen to anyone. We have to really watch out for it. I'm glad you shared your experience.
WOW! I had the exact same thing! On my forehead. Had it removed by excision but it came back less than 10 years later with a vengeance! Just had MOHS surgery in January and so far barely any scar. All good except for no eyebrow on that side 😏
Cancer SUCKS! Especially skin cancer. Lost my mother 10 years ago to it. I'm glad you were able to find a treatment that works for you! Best wishes on your treatment and recovery from it!!
I think that one of the reasons I enjoy your videos so much is that they are well planned. Your style fits into my kid lecture. “Good shoes, warm coat and excellent transportation.” I’m happy to say, that somehow they listened, as young adults they are avid outdoors people and comfortable with their situations. Thanks again for your videos.
The excellence of your content amazes me. The editing, quality of filming, and wonderful camping sites, bring us a little slice of happiness with each video. Thank you for all your hard work. ❤

So glad you found a Doc. Who listens with common sense and ...sience sense, as a lifelong nurse I can say it's not easy but well worth the effort, Prayers up for you.
Luke, I love watching your channel and I’ve purchased a fair amount of gear after watching your videos and reviews so thank you for that. I have the same thing on the back of my hand that just would not go away and it never even dawned on me that it could be cancer. I’m definitely going to have a checked out now so thank you for sharing your story my friend
Luke thank you for a special video and sharing your cancer experience. Cancer has taken a lot of my closest family members. I also had cancer. The doctor did do surgery and I’m thankful it is gone. I hope the forest fire didn’t spread to much further. Your supper looked yummy. I love watching your videos and hearing your stories. Thank you again. Take care. Stay safe

Hello brother, I want to tell you that your channel is one of the ones I enjoy watching the most. I love your way of testing and giving your opinion on each piece of equipment you use. I would love to see someday where you keep all that gear. Regarding your illness, I hope you recover and continue with the same optimism and philosophy. Sending you warm greetings from the lands of Argentina.
I hope that all remains well. I am glad you shared your story. That takes a lot. You bring out the best in yourself and that makes you an awesome man. I respect you and what you represent. Your honesty is above everything. Thanks for always sharing such great content. Thanks for your honest opinion.
Luke, you just made my day. I have skin cancer on my nose...don't want surgery so Im going to be asking about chemo cream. I appreciate you sharing your story sir.
My brother got diagnosed with triple myeloma 4 years ago, he had stage 3 straight of the bat, thank god the doctors settled it down with treatment. He has come a long way but unfortunately he’s bones are starting to get holes and become weak. I’m glade you shared your story Luke!!!
Praying for your full recovery Luke and no more lesions. Folks wear Sunscreen on face, ears, neck, backs of hands and any Sun exposed body parts when outside in the Sun for work or play - even if not at the pool or beach. Hat too! Helps reduce possible risk.
Yes Luke I’m a UK follower of your channel and I have also had skin cancer diagnosed with it in 2019 and been battling ever since. One lump appeared on my chest which they cut out and after it reappeared somewhere else on scalp. This has been an ongoing struggle, seems to me every so often it’s going to flare up and I just have to accept that fact. Anyway keep the videos going I really enjoy them.
Tony from AB Camping is a riot Luke. Thanks for sharing your skin cancer story . My 1st wife Linda passed away three years to lung cancer . It really is amazing how much it helps when you find a doctor who listens to you and actually tries to explore other options. But who is also brave enough to tell you to your face when it’s best to take a certain option and not explore. I will be forever grateful for my gynacologist, oncologist, breast surgeon, and plastic surgeon when I came in with what I believed could be breast cancer. They were amazing. They listened to me, explored other options, made absolutely sure it was cancer, and then told me when exploring wasn’t the right choice and taking immediate action was the right thing to do. 2 years later, I’m cancer free and will be forever grateful to that medical team. I’ll have to keep a close eye on my health and any suspicious signs since the cancer was genetic caused by the BRCA1+ genetic mutation, but I know who I’ll trust and go back to, without question.
Luke, thanks for sharing your story. Good luck on your journey. I just stumbled on your video, wow it was so interesting. I have learned quite a bit, never camped before but I guess your never to old to just do it. (I'm 62 and still very active). You remind me of my older brother. Have a great day !!!
Thanks for sharing this with me 😊❤❤❤❤. Your photography skills are fantastic 😍. I watch you because I can't go out camping anymore. Hello from Indiana USA and this 63 year old lady ❤
Thank you for sending your health with us , cancer sucks fully stop . I’m keeping everything crossed for you . Fantastic video my friend can’t wait for the next one . Take care and stay safe x
Wow I like that Coleman Canopy! What an ordeal you went through with the skin cancer! You are so right in saying you must be your ow advocate. Too quickly do doctors want you to be prescribed Too often do doctors want to prescribe a pill rather further investigating the root problem/ you have to persist for what and how you want things. I'm so glad that you have it more under control now.
Luke! I'm so happy to see you in my neck of the woods! Old 105 is awesome! I am very glad you shared your cancer story with all of us and glad you found a good doctor! I found it informative as I've never heard of cancer on a finger. Very best wishes on healing my friend. I live about 5 miles from the top of old 105 and just love seeing my home turf on your channel!
The mountain view shot at 1:22 reminds me of Pilot Mt. in N. Carolina. The wife and I drove to the top a couple of years ago and hiked around a little bit. It was a great place and great views. I am really glad you list all the equipment. I plan to purchase the little air mattress inflator. Great idea. Thanks again for all your information and content.
You're absolutely right about sleeping bags.. I've frozen at night in cheap ones again and again... Until I finally blew a weeks paycheck on a good one. The difference was night and day. I was so cozy and warm even when ice was crusting the inside of my tent :)
Luke, Thanks so much for telling us about your recent cancer issues you got goin' on. Prayers sent on your behalf for continued healing 🙏 Great video. I really did like that tent and that sleeping pad, it looked really comfortable. Blessings my friend, Laurel 😁
Thanks for sharing your story, I lost my dad and sister to cancer and my mum has it too so I'm high risk, I say live each day as best you can and enjoy life
You make good videos. You do a lot things right. You get multiple camera angles with cuts that make sense for telling the story visually. Your audio is on point. You avoid the irritating background music. You keep blather to a minimum. Good job.
Hi Luke thanks for sharing your cancer story, I pray everything works out for you, I lost my daughter February 2022 to cancer so i know how it feels, stay safe 🙏

Speaking of sonic booms, I grew up within a few miles of WPAFB in Fairborn, Ohio. In the early to mid seventies, sonic booms were all the time. Man I do not miss that sound, at all!😅
Sorry for your cancer fight...must not be an easy battle thats for shur...love the way you said never stop living and live live to it's fullest.. I had a pretty good car accident in 2010, lost some function in left arm and some cognitive issues that made me loose my eng. License..I never stop living and chalenge myself every day...glad to see you are the same ....I respect deeply..
Luke thanks for the story about your skin cancer. I myself have had a form of cancer. Luckily it was caught early enough and was taken out. Anyway i just want to say, i love your videos. Ive purchased some of the foods you have eaten like peak meals and got lucky with tarmac meals. Pretty freakin good. Keep up the awesome job with your videos. I look forward to them everyday lol.
I've had reoccurring skin cancer. It's been treated by both creams and moe surgery.. my Moe's treatment was beside my nose. All I've been left with a small scar. Barely noticeable. The ones I've had treated with cream are way more noticeable. Luckily they are mostly on my shoulders and upper arms. Good luck with your cancer treatment. I wish you all the bast.
Thank you for another educational and entertaining segment, Luke. Coffee is my breakfast too, whether for the workday or when camping. I definitely appreciate your style of getting outdoors. I was camping out of my truck in Alaska long before the term Overlanding came into play and manufacturers began selling all sorts of prefab truck gear. Great content; thank you for sharing and be safe.
As always i appreciate your packing list with links of where to buy them. I have been to Piscah National Forest many years ago. Theere is something mystical and powerful feeling about the place, i remember. Am glad you are around the corner with your skin cancer. Am sure you will lick this, totally! Treating yourself to some great outdoor time is a perfect remedy, as much as it pleases to be be with you on the trip as a special treat. Thank you as always! Wink Wink is a terrible name. ABC camping can keep his TugTug.
I grew up all my life camping with Coleman products. From Michigan to California. In rain and snow. We never had any issues with gear, just alot of fun times!!
Thor for the 4Runner. I have been enjoying your videos for quite a long time. Have been through breast cancer, chemotherapy and radiation treatment. It is pretty amazing that chemotherapy comes in a cream. Great that you found a Doctor who listened and went to colleagues for suggestions and advice for your treatment. Greater that it is working. Blessings… - Ontario Canada
I like the tent and the Coleman awning tent. the Coleman would be great for parades. It looks easy to put out and fold up ,adding adding a good tarp would help in colder weather. The tent looked good. we always set up a tent at parades in case someone need to relax or take a nap. There are times its cold especially during late fall tail-gating. Karen
Cowboy coffee is by far the best way to make it. You can get by with only a 3.5 minute boil. This takes the bitter tannes out and neutralizes the acid. If you boil it too long, it can have an adverse reaction to the taste. I've never overboiled it, so I'm not sure how the taste changes. Prayers for you and the cancer. Peace.
Whoa, I just got finished a round of the chemo cream too. But the skin cancer was on my cheek. It’s doing great so far. And , I too , went to a few doctors to find a treatment that was right for my lifestyle and health. Thanks for sharing your story, I’m glad I’m not alone in the same chemo cream path. Smiles , my friend.
We had a Colman canopy we used for church events and different things. The canopy was set up overnight and a pop up thunderstorm came in. It destroyed the canopy beyond repair. For normal use it is fine but ours folded up during the storm.

Speaking of sonic booms, I grew up within a few miles of WPAFB in Fairborn, Ohio. In the early to mid seventies, sonic booms were all the time. Man I do not miss that sound, at all!😅
Great job luke!! Love your reviews.
Luke ,attitude makes a huge difference. I also have had cancer, but mine was prostrate. Cheers to you.
It's a great touch putting real temperature numbers in bottom corner. 👍
Very pleasant, thank you
I’m enjoying watching you grow older like a great wine you are mellowing with age. Thanks for sharing the journey
Praying for your and your families health. Keep going
I appreciate you brother. 👍🏻
Luke, I use your videos to fall asleep as well as at work to drown out the noise. Thanks for all you do!
Praying for complete healing of this skin cancer issue. Believing God for a miracle!
Thanks for sharing Luke. Sounds like you made a wise choice. Glad you're in remission. We appreciate your adventures silent or otherwise.
Best wishes to you. May God bless you.
Thanks for sharing, glad you are ok now and will keep praying for you and us all! Amen brother.
Wish you wellness 🙏.
Thanks for your great videos. Praying for your health. God bless.
Hi Luke. Once again, a well-crafted video and great story-telling. Thanks for taking us along. All the best to you and Susie.
Luke, cheers to your treatment and more videos to come. Strength and honor friend, from Northern California.
Thank you for sharing your story.God Bless you glad your cancer is gone and you are doing well.
When Luke does his “Clip Dance” setting up his tent I imagine mariachi music playing.
Karen
Thank you for taking the time and creating these videos. You Rock
Peace.
luke you finally made the noodles the right way! love the extra ingredients you added too, looks even more delicious
You are very inspiring! Thank you for sharing.
Praying you have a fast recovery Luke... 🙏.
Love your intro music! Much more lighter feel! Great job.👏👏
We had a Colman canopy we used for church events and different things. The canopy was set up overnight and a pop up thunderstorm came in. It destroyed the canopy beyond repair. For normal use it is fine but ours folded up during the storm.
Thanks for the great adventure! I may replace my canopy that leaks and use it at the back of my new camper when it gets here. Stay safe and God bless.
Thanks for sharing about your skin cancer, and best of luck with it! Sounds like you're doing all the right things and keeping on top of it.
Thanks for putting your gear in the description. Cancer is the worst. Stay strong bro!!!
