@bittercottoncandy You must not have very good reading comprehension. "as West Civilisation slowly collapses and people of European decent are displaced" What this actually refers to is "replacement theory" (aka "the great replacement"). Google that, then get back to me. It's a common fear propaganda spread by conservatives and neo-con governments. "European descent" - read: white folk.
John It’s great to see a channel that caters for people who have motion restrictions. I was a rugby player for 30 years and broke my scapula and clavicle (clavicle on both sides twice😖) And my knees have been hammered. Love your channel pal. Keep it coming!!👊🏼💪🏼
Holy shit... my gym won’t buy this and I don’t have the space for it, but once I get a place for this I’m DEFINITELY going to buy this. Just wow, solves a lot of anatomical issues
Brilliant product. It's obvious someone invested some serious time and thought into its design. As someone who deals with shoulder pain, I have to find creative ways to work my chest without doing bench press with the typical olympic bar. I wish my gym had something like this.
When you talk "pain" I understand. It's not pain from hard muscle work, but pain in areas that are being pressured in ways that isn't natural. I've always had much discomfort in the inner shoulder area (even as a teen) when doing bench press with a straight bar. As a result, I'm able to do very little weight, in comparison to what I can do with dum-bells. I've started a penny jar to own one of these Kaddy-bars. Makes sense to me.
Great video, your expertise and presentation is excellent. Yes, the swiss bars are easier on the shoulders. You also kill the myth that bodybuilders are just muscle and not necessarily strong. I've seen your tricep press downs using the whole stack, and that Caddilac bar was loaded!! Swiss bars are harder in terms of loading weight. Thanks John
That anglein bench press is a killer, combined with my bad form. whenever I do incline with dumbbells, it feels so much better than bench press. I need this bar.
It's all about that grip....I have a similar bar i got from Titan Fitness. Nowhere near as heavy duty as that Kadillac Bar....but same idea. Shoulder pain is non existent when i use that bar and grip....and you can get a really good pump. I also recommend the Shoulder Rock from Kabuki. It really does give your shoulders a great warm up before a chest or shoulder workout. Just used both of those the other day and i remember saying "I am glad I bought these".
You get to play with the coolest toys! My gym never has anything like this or many of the other pieces of equipment you demonstrate. Really interesting looking bar, I would like to try it.
I dont do regular standard bench anymore because it hurts my shoulders like u were saying ,, I do dumbbells since I can pronate them a little to ease pressure on shoulder ,Or I do a bench machine that u put regular plates on ,,, In all my lifts the pronated grip feels better for me ,, pulldown,, pull ups ,, chest,,everything ,, Amazing how the grip angle / twist makes such a difference on painful shoulders or pain free ,, Thx John awesome stuff and love that bar
john- just a thought, one could invert the bar to where the curve is on bottom, if one doesn't want to bring the arms past the body/90degrees to prevent shoulder injuries, then flip the bar around after inverting to get the same grip angle. it would be like putting a block of wood on one's chest to prevent full range, the curve would hit the chest not allowing the arms to go all the way down getting partial reps to save the shoulders.
The coolest part os to flip it around so you’re using it with alight SUPINATION instead. I’ve used something like this and even a little supination is enough to force you to bring the bar down low, and really light up that clavicular portion of the pec while being super easy on shoulders
The Kadilac bar shown, is a variation of what is known as a ‘Swiss Bar’. Many gyms have them. If yours doesn’t , remember that you can choose that pressing range/position with dumbbells, and it will de stress the shoulders in the same way.
That's why at 60 I only do flys and I've mostly just done flys most of my life . I don't need down time . And I've read articles of big weight lifters who swear by flys.
I have the same problem bad shoulders from years of heavy benching. I switched to dumbbell bench press feels much better on the shoulders. But this bar may be the best of both worlds as it allows you to put it back on a rack compared to having to pick up very heavy dumbbells and dropping very heavy dumbbells.
My shoulder has been screwed lately, but I started keeping the dumbbells in the same position as the handles on the Kabuki bar and my shoulder has felt 100% better. I want that Kadillac bar!!
Would be cool if my gym had one of those. I have been doing dumbbell press with a turn of the dumbbells to simulate this for about 2 years now. Always had shoulder pain prior when pressing the bar and I have not had shoulder pain since I started doing the dumbbells with a Twist. Good video!
@@matsuwd-emethdaath4002 cool. That's sweet. Probably were thinking one up. I bought a trap bar in pretty much donated it to my gym and everybody is happy to have it there. This might be another good contribution. I am leaving down in Baja Mexico right now and it's a pretty mellow group of dudes in this jam and it wouldn't get stolen. thanks for the tip
He is humble. When a pro bodybuilder says he is not a strong bench presser he means he benches 350 to 400 for reps as opposed to the guys who bench 400 to 500 for reps. He is still stronger in the bench press than the vast majority of trainees.
The hand positioning on this bar is similar to the way i've ended up doing dumb bell presses because of a shoulder injury. Well, exactly where John pointed so... straight bar has been out for me for awhile. This bar looks interesting.
This is like buying and using a hex bar for deadlifts. First I'm almost 60 and dont need to hurt my back and I use to use the straight bar but after finding out about the hex bar deadlifting is more enjoyable (LOL, sure it is) but my form is easier to control.
Loved ur review and loved the vid. I really want to check out this bar. I tend to angle my dumbbells semi vertical like those handles and i semi rotate at the top. And it's made a world of difference in my workout. So in seeing this bar, really makes me want to check it out.
I’m going to get it next year, it seems like it’ll be a nice addition to the home gym collection. I’ve dealt with some acromion issues in the past and I find swiss bars to be a very effective solution. Can’t wait to try this one out. Nice video as always, John!
When I bench press I also like to use the preacher curl bar as far sometimes rather than a straight bar curls over the chest of how it fits perfectly over the chest
As someone who is about to get his distal clavicle removed in late December from an old injury - I currently can hardly touch a bench press bar with a standard grip. Waiting on this bar as we speak and should be in a couple days. I can do most other exercises right now as I'm waiting, but this is my current plan to minimize the stress on my AC joint post surgery. Hopefully I can build up a little strength before the surgery to make the rehab process easier later.
It's the same with a hex bar bar ,many gyms don't have them. I work out at home now and bought one. But I only do flys for my chest because of shoulder pain.

Just checked the link quite interesting. Thanks John. 👍🏼
@B B move to the US, it's primarily white (72%) and isn't changing anytime soon.
@B B Have you tried not being racist?

1967: No Pain No Gain
2019: No Pain Bench press.
Different types of pain. Destroying your rotator cuff wasn't a good thing back in 1967 either, I tell you.
I’ve never seen a bar like that, the angled grips look like they make a world of difference!
Wow John's training that homeless fella , he helps everyone!
haha, I am going to tease Bret about that...he is actually a retired Bank employee...
John Meadows you sir are a class act Gentleman.
1:50 "Im not a strong bench presser" ...if that's the case then I'm a limp noodle
Pierre Cohen those are crossfit plates
1234 • so you’re saying he’s not a strong presser? The dude dumbell presses 140lb dumbbells easily.
Pierre Cohen he’s not a strong presser for his weight is what he means dumbo But he is strong compared to a guy who has little training experience
1234 • nice insult there. How much does he weigh?
Work on your triceps with free weights and use the cords.
I'm sold on it!!! One of THE best new products to come out in a LONG time!!! Thanks a heap for posting this, MD.
1:50 "I'm not a strong bench presser"... proceeds to bench more than my whole weight 😂
Miss ya’ John.
John It’s great to see a channel that caters for people who have motion restrictions. I was a rugby player for 30 years and broke my scapula and clavicle (clavicle on both sides twice😖) And my knees have been hammered. Love your channel pal. Keep it coming!!👊🏼💪🏼
Man I just click a random video I see on this bar I just ordered and it’s John. Rest In Peace man
Holy shit... my gym won’t buy this and I don’t have the space for it, but once I get a place for this I’m DEFINITELY going to buy this. Just wow, solves a lot of anatomical issues
It's all about them angles. Thanks, John!
Wow, this really brings the bench pressing to another level!
And no hesitation to give this video a thumb up!!!
It's a good alternative to the Duffalo bar but both are crazy expensive for the average person to buy but my old gym had a couple and they feel nice
I spent 200 on a hex bar to do deadlifts. It's all what's important in your life and working out is what I like at 60 years old.

Another humble brag by the mountain. This thing looks sick!
Bukake did a great job on this bar
Awesome piece of equipment.
Cool kabuki strength makes some really cool stuff!
cool bar, i do the same movement with dumbels sometimes feels pretty good
Full contraction and relaxation of chest muscles
It looks very good equipment.
Looks great! Ease of movement is very important to me.
Ordered one close to 3 weeks ago. Can not wait for it to arrive, so I can bench pain free again. Just takes so long so arrive!!
Did you buy the bar eventually? Is it good?
As a home gym owner, I'll have to wait for Titan to release the Pontiac Bar.
lol, same here. My patio gym is outside in the elements, this gorgeous thing doesnt belong out there geting rusted.

Rest easy king
This is the bar I always dreamed of
Never seen a bar like that one. It would be cool to try. It's good you show all this different equipment. Have a good day John.
Finally ordered it, I’m so excited to train with it once it arrives!
it's awesome!
Thanks for showing this video and bar. I’ve never seen a bar like this. I’m going to recommend my local gym if they can invest into getting one.
Brilliant ! Thank you !
I rarely do bench because it kills my shoulder, so I stick to machines or DB but I'll have to check this out ...
That bar looks pretty cool
I may be able to push more weight with that bar. I like how it compells you to keep you elbows in and maintain excellent form.
😲 ... i have never seen such a part, is very cool. sure makes a lot of fun with it to train
That anglein bench press is a killer, combined with my bad form. whenever I do incline with dumbbells, it feels so much better than bench press. I need this bar.
Mark hamill have Just eaten the force 💪
Loving the kadillac bar 💪🏼😎👍

looks fun!
Looks great and safe.
Like that bar, if I have the chance to try one of those I will, Thank you and have a good day sir.

Just finding this video after recovering from a shoulder surgery and looking for alternatives to traditional bar. Man, I miss this guy.
First time seeing this type of bar and i got to say ...I WANT ONE..seriously tho i need one
Old man got some umph!!💪
Cadillac bar, The Force has spoken John, and was strong with this one... 😂 😂 😂
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Your arms for the position for chest is perfect, super show
Super video
Cool bar. "I'm not real strong on chest", then you do 15 reps with all that weight, lol. You're killin' me! 🤣
Bar is badass.
Beautiful Bar... u are lucke thanks for sharing
Thank you for the valuable tips!
Never seen that bar i always have pain in my right shoulder everytime.
Yup! Likewise
How much time do you spend stretching before and after your workouts?
The Kadilac bar shown, is a variation of what is known as a ‘Swiss Bar’.

I loved that barbell. I wish i had one🙏🏻

Wish my gym had one

I'm sold!
That looks good for rows also
Look amazing why not!
Everytime I'm feeling low and shit. I listen to John
Bloody love your channel John excellent stuff on it very very informal sir!
Just submitted love it
thank you!
This looks like a great bar....,I too have shoulder issues using a regular one...
Would be cool if my gym had one of those. I have been doing dumbbell press with a turn of the dumbbells to simulate this for about 2 years now. Always had shoulder pain prior when pressing the bar and I have not had shoulder pain since I started doing the dumbbells with a Twist. Good video!

It looks pretty kool
That bar looks boss.
That was awesome I wish we had that bar in the gym I workout in
That's a good bar actually I'm impressed it's not at all a gimmick like that frog thing from Tren O Hearn
when john says 'im not a strong bencher' then goes ahead and bench 2 plates like warming up 😂😂😂
pretty sure those are quarters, but just fatter; my gum has the same...

Nice bar 🔥🔥🔥💯💪🏾
Yeah bet that wide grip hits chest good...big stretch

I wish my gym had one of those bars, been using the handles on the trap bar to do weighted pushups for a while now which feels great.
That lookd so interesting
John i think it trains the tris more , with that kinda parallel hold position

Good morning sir great video
Looks like you could do it for bent over rows too. That bend certainly increases ROM
I want it !!
gostei do projeto , uma pegada semelhante a barra W...legal,,
That bar is awesome! A little pricey at $450, but it certainly has me thinking 🤔🤔🤔
Never even heard of that bar let alone seen one in any of my local gyms
It's the same with a hex bar bar ,many gyms don't have them. I work out at home now and bought one. But I only do flys for my chest because of shoulder pain.
Sounds like ray romano!
Damn totally
