      I used to play on my skateboard there in the mid 70's then later as a young teenager I'd do 'street jumping', now officially known as Parkour.
      Crying shame, that being pulled down, it was only built in 1970 😥

      @@tonypaddler The crying shame was the demolition of the old town hall which was an act of vandalism
      that was wincingly bad even for the 1960's and all for a hotel scheme that was never built so it was needlessly demolished at that. I've seen worse civic centres than this though ,they kept it low rise at least and it wasn't big hulking grey slabs of concrete. Sweet revenge though seeing it reduced to a pile of rubble
      for what looks like a very nice housing and plaza scheme

    Cost 3.4 Million in 1970...That's about SIXTY million today for a lifespan of 52 years... What a farking waste of tax payer's money.
