    I flew 9 times with the A 380 and departed at 28 degrees Celcius at 2 am in wet humid Singapore. I felt like we will never ever lift up from the runway but once Big Berta is in the air it's a completely new game. It gets faster really quick and because of it's big surfaces it flies sporty like an A 320 so at least pilots say. It's a pleasure to travel with this plane and i am glad that Emirates still flies them.

    I flew this flight on August 2021 with the beautiful expo 2020 livery on business class. Probably the best flight ever. Everything was amazing from the food to the professional staff and of course the mighty a380.

      @aakashkarajgikar9384 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, I heard that they serve THREE meals! They serve enough amount of food! Plus, you get DINE-ON-DEMAND, which means you get to eat whatever you want, whenever you want, when you fly in First class, I know that for sure, but that also doesn't mean that you can ask for 10 meals on a flight, I think that is too much, let's keep the real maximum at four; this works especially when flying from Dubai to Honolulu for 20 hours over the Atlantic Ocean, and then over the US, then a little bit (about 2,000 miles) over the Pacific Ocean, then reach the Honolulu Airport.
      They might start creating bigger aircrafts than the A380s now.

    Hi I was seeing the seat selection for an economy flight in emirates. It was a connecting flight and when i was selecting seats to the second part of my connecting flight (Dubai to los angeles), there was a 3-D view of the seat I was selecting. When I clicked on it, the touch screen remote control for the IFE was not attached to the back of the seat but instead it was just one large tray table and the IFE in the top. Was it like this for you too ? The aircraft was an Airbus A380 800. When I clicked the first flight( Bangalore to Dubai), the touchscreen remote below the IFE was there in the 3-D view. When was this flight in the above video exactly ?

    • @sushka

      Hello, this was in 2021. We went on 2 A380s and 1 777. All of them had the IFE remote under the screen.

    12:56 OMG! The cabin is so quite tall now! I thought that these A380, in order to fit two full floors, we would need to make the floor a little bit shorter. Is the 777 taller or is the A380 only taller?

    • @sushka
      @sushka  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes Dubai Cairo on 777.
      I can’t remember which one is taller inside the cabin. I do recall the A380 being taller than a 747 however. I’m guessing possibly taller than a 777 but It’s been since January

      @@sushka I probably think that they are the same height only in a B777, and in an A380 the upper and lower deck. The reason why I am saying that this B747 talk is kind of irrelevant is because I am trying to talk about the Emirates fleet, and please, not anything else for right now.
      The lower deck of the A380s cabins are just wide horizontally, just a bit wider.

    What are retracting the flaps and slats really for? It seems that they go back into normal position after the A380 lifts up in the air.

    • @sushka
      @sushka  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The slats and flaps allow the airplane to create more lift at slower speeds. This allows for a shorter takeoff distance as well as slower approach speeds. As the airplane climbs out past a safe altitude and speed, the pilots retract flaps and slats one setting at a time to allow the aircraft to accelerate.

    • @aakashkarajgikar9384
      @aakashkarajgikar9384 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@sushka I mean this is still a very speedy takeoff, and I don't see this extending flaps and slats on Boeing 777s to get ready for takeoff, and plus, I also flew in an Emirates Airbus A380 of Expo Green Livery a few months back and I haven't noticed an extending of flaps and slats.

    • @sushka
      @sushka  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      All airliners do it. Or else they wouldn’t be able to take off in the distance provided by the runway. They would need a much higher speed before they could rotate.

    Also, I noticed that you were trying to make this video almost exactly similar to your EK216 video. My questions regarding the differences are:
    Why didn't you put captions during this video? You did it all in your EK216 video.
    You weren't making a full walk from rear to front in this video, which you did in EK216.
    In the EK216 video, you didn't record the video of flaps and slats extending while landing in Dubai Int'l Airport.
    In the EK216 video, you were also talking about the way someone smoked in the lavatories of the A380, which you didn't talk about anything at all in this video.
    Can you please explain to me about these differences, like what happened? Were you not allowed to go to the front of the cabin or something?

      @@sushka I do too, you can close the windows in order to go to sleep. But the reason why I like night flights is, actually a couple of reasons:
      1) When I fly transatlantic, it is the start of my vacation, which I would be in an excited mood, when coming back, I get kind of sad to be honest.
      2) The flight attendants give better amenity kits for overnight flights as compared to during the day flights.
      By the way, regarding reason #1, it's always a better choice to save the best for the last, which is to almost exactly the way it happened with my 2010 or 2011 India Trip (I don't think I remember exactly); I flew on an Emirates Boeing 777 for EK216 to start my whole India trip; and then I flew in an Emirates A380 for EK215 to end it all, and I think during that [like this one] 17 hour flight, I got sleep for about 9 or 9 1/2 hours, after we reached cruising altitude of course; and it means, I would have woken up when we were flying over completely to the the north tip of Greenland or so, so I think I missed the views of the north pole at that time.

    Now let's say about the trio instead of duo relationship, meaning that three countries are friends instead of two, which is the India and Russia Friendship but UAE joins the friendship too. I want to say that India isn't in this, but UAE and Russia also have something in common too, they care about cleanliness a lot, and they both prohibit driving uncleaned cars. Both countries prohibit the act of swearing as well, especially in public.

      If you haven’t, I think you may need to go to russia. None of that an about cleanliness is true in russia. It’s full of vandalism, drunken people swearing, and very dirty cars especially during winter time.

      @@sushka Wow! So you flew actually across vertically in the middle of Greenland. If you were sitting next to the window, did you feel a little bit cold or something?

    • @sushka
      @sushka  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s always a little cold coming from the windows in an airplane as it’s usually -40c up at altitude. We went so far north on this route, more toward the North Pole top of Greenland

    • @aakashkarajgikar9384
      @aakashkarajgikar9384 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@sushka Wow! That is so insane! Also, I work good with temperature in Fahrenheit; so this is actually the base, the same number for Celsius AND Fahrenheit!
      Also, I am a bit surprised that when you are going to the Northern polar route, and it is cold at the bottom, but not that much cold next to the plane. While I was expecting something like -90 degrees F, but it is only -40 degrees C and F. It is also interesting to know that the more away from the equator you go (mostly north), the less cold it is at somewhere between 30000 and 40000 ft (I like to use the number, 32768, because it is a power of 2), But the more closer to the equator you are, the more colder it gets, and that just surprises me a lot. I thought it would be the other way around, but I am very surprised about it being warm at 32768 ft altitude when you are north above Greenland.

    • @aakashkarajgikar9384
      @aakashkarajgikar9384 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also, you flew in the winter, where Russia showed it, that you were flying in the winter, and it was snowing. So that is what makes it even colder, but just -40 degrees F up at 32768 altitude is just so interesting, and I am very surprised. By the way, when you were flying over Russia, what was the temperature back then!

    So I found out that Russia and India have something in common. So let's say that this channel is Russia (given that you told me about knowing the Russian language) and there is this channel, The Aircraft King is India (given that he went to India in 2017 flying the A380 for EK216 and EK215). It turns out that you guys make the videos of EK216 and EK215 to be quite similar (not like your EK216 video is same as his EK216 video and same with the EK215 videos, but that is what you and The Aircraft King have in common). Though I never saw anything the two countries had in common, it's usually Russia and China that have something in common, but now I found out that this is what Russia has in common with India.
    But there is some sad news. I searched up, what happens with Russia and India's relationship in the future; then what I found is that Russia will no longer be India's natural partner.
    This was the saying: Russia was India's past; moving forward, NATO will be India's future. 😞
    Yet, that is probably not going to happen instantly, it will still take some time now, and it is said that India and Russia won't become enemies, but mostly USA and Russia will switch places on who is liked by India more compared to now.
    I actually found two link sources that describe the new chapter about Russia and India's relationship:
    1) www.aljazeera.com/features/2023/9/8/g20-summit-is-india-breaking-up-with-russia
    2) carnegieendowment.org/2022/09/20/russia-and-india-new-chapter-pub-87958
    Again, the good thing about this change is that India and Russia will *not* become enemies.

      It’s best not to be enemies with anyone. But I am glad India will have closer ties to NATO. It’s good for India to modernize the military and be closer with the rest of the world.
