I’ve made these cookies several times for my family and I’m constantly getting demands for them. When I first made them, I was short on raisins so I cut up some dried apricots and they were SO GOOD, now I always make them with both 😊. I don’t do dairy so I use a non-dairy buttermilk which makes the consistency of the dough a bit sticky, but once they bake up they are completely fine and delicious, as he said, don’t overbake them! If you do two trays in the oven at a time like me, you can rotate them half way through baking to ensure they all bake evenly. Thanks for the great recipe!

These look divine!
Try golden raisins. They have a little more moisture, plumper and the sugar in the raisins caramelize making them super sweet. I also use Carasins. The slight tartness balances nicely with the sweetness of the white and brown sugars.

What if you don’t have butter milk
Milk, with a splash of vinegar or lemon juice. Let sit for ten min. You'll have a buttermilk substitute
