My husband has been asking me to make these cookies. I thought I bought all the right ingredients, but, instead of the butter milk I bought heavy cream instead. Wish me luck! 😫😫😫
Love this recipe! The honey piece was a surprise- got to try this. 🙏🏿
Try golden raisins. They have a little more moisture, plumper and the sugar in the raisins caramelize making them super sweet. I also use Carasins. The slight tartness balances nicely with the sweetness of the white and brown sugars.

What if you don’t have butter milk
Milk, with a splash of vinegar or lemon juice. Let sit for ten min. You'll have a buttermilk substitute
