- Hot rodding my Hofner Shorty with a Seymour Duncan Invader humbucker, Graph Tech bridge, nut & tuners and Dunlop 500k Super Pots.
After watching Eric C and guitargirlkb I decided I wanted in on the action a proceeded to create a monster! Lol!

I got my Shorty two years ago and it promptly displaced my Strats as my favorite electric guitar. It's loaded with a DiMarzio Dual-Sound, and push/pulls on both pots for series/parallel switching and switchable high-pass filter on the volume pot. I just recently got it refretted with stainless steel and a Tusq nut, so now it's like a Mini-Cooper with a V8 under the hood.
That thing is putting out a huge sound!!! Awesome.
I’m not going to pretend to understand all the modifications you did but I do know it sounds incredible! And your shirt is awesome 🤘🏻

I bought one this Dec2021. I know it will go so well with my positive grid 40 Amp. I sold my 3 electric guitars, unfortunately, needed $, rent, eviction;;; ANYHOW,,,,, 'I Hv Black colour. U hv answered my ????, I hv SEYMOR DUNCON BLUES Set '59. I wd Like to replace 2 HUMBUCKERS I hv. However, I don't trust shops, MY guy moved shop . Point is, YOU GV a Direct!! To the point Review. It's a very cool idea to load a little ax like that with a big, powerful pickup. The pickup that comes with the Shorty is good for the price, but you put in a real quality aftermarket pup like an Invader or X2N and the thing will just scream and growl. The Invader is what Chris Holmes played in WASP. It gets the job done.

Great Video EJ, made me chuckle in places and some great riffage!
First rule of looping: Roll off the volume knob a little for the loop, then turn it up to full volume to solo over the loop. Recording both rhythm and lead at the same volume just sounds messy and muddled together.

Wow, great hob! that littel hofner is sick! Definitely gonna be headturner with such a big soound of such a little guitar. Love the video editing too, i can really learn something from that, i bet that took you ages to edit ^^

I can definitely hear the difference.Sounds Great. It's great you know how to do all that stuff. I got my Ibanez Prestige back from being setup with a tremo-no and with a few hand screw adjustments I can make mine a fully floating bridge, half blocked where I can just bend down or block it all together and have it like a hard tail. I had it setup as half blocked. Unfortunately, it's back in the shop because every time I come out of a bend the G and B strings are way out of tune.Very disappointed. 😪
EJ’s Guitars & Music Channel I don't think it's a lemon, just needs to be setup right. I like to play it a half step down. With the tremlo-no I can easily set it to floating, half block blocked or hard tail by turning the thumb screws. That's what it's supposed to do.

I've only upgraded to Gibson 498T so far, and it's a far cry. The locking tuners will follow one day :)
