The use of Baltic Birch plywood (I think that is the name of it) is pretty decent if you ask me - it is extremely resistant to warping and very solid. Thinner layers that typical plywood. It can’t be seen and plywood is better than cutting down new trees
Plus plywood is stronger than regular wood because of the thousands of crisscrossing
