Sweet! I just bought a case of these a few months ago too, same exp date 2022. Menus 3 & 6 are the bomb! I havent opened my menu 3 yet, kinda savin it for the right hiking/camping trip. Pound cakes are the best snack hands down poppy seed, carrot cake it doesn't matter to me with those jammers! But the peanut butter & mocha bars aren't too far behind and the cinnamon zapplesauce i can eat for days! I was able to stretch two 24's menu's 9 & 1 for 3 days with water/coffee and some gushers i brought. Super hardy dense items. I'm sad to say im not a fan of the shelf stable sandwiches ughh. Haven't found one yet i like. Would have been cool for one to have the pizza slices but i did get the italian bread sticks. So far my fav meal item is the garlic & herb chicken breast. Spot on! Just let the pack sit in a pot of boiling water for a few minutes. I pulled it out before boil. Opened package and bam it was good! Just a small hint of something they may use to prolong long term storage. Couldnt quite put my finger on it?. But totally doable and calorie/protein rich with nice overall flavor! Real chicken!! Highly reccomend these if you can find em'. Ebay! I even broke a few menus up and plan to mix parts with some single mre entrees i have floating around. I'm probably gonna buy some Z rations next! Very nice one Nathan. The Tortilla you made looked really good. I would have added some corn nuggets to give it a extra crunch. I had those mints once too. The taste was digusting.
Almost all of those drinks in those pouches have that sediment .I dissolve them in just a little hot water,stir well then add the cold water and they seem to mix and be fine.That menu looked good.Nice review.
I just watched this video . I am not to sure on having an mre that does not have to be heated, after all,I do like my food hot.Is there a reaon why FSR did not make this meal with a heating element? I seem to remember other FSR do not have a heating element in those meals also.Is this a trend?
That banana chocolate bar looks way better than that dried out banana chocolate muffin top. Those first strike bars can also be used to plug a flat tire.
Currently in the Army. I’m in JRTC right now. We started eating these first strikes about 2 days ago. Honestly, none of us are eating them really. These are absolutely disgusting. Everyone in my company is complaining and wanting regular MRE’s back. I have legit chosen to starve. I eat a snack or 2 out it and that’s it. I can’t stomach the wraps at all. I can barely finish the first without feeling sick.

@@TheSantaFox well let me tell you this....I am a former Marine. 1986 - 1993 and I have eaten my share of mres. Minotaur and Allmres make the best. I have 2 MOTHER LOADS and 3 custom B mres from PROSPECTOR and both of these give you all kinds of good stuff and the food is good quality. Especially MINOTAUR. They seem to be leaning towards healthier and better quality food, plus he seems to be developing his own products. Nothing wrong with FIRST STRIKE, just not interested in the sandwich entre mres

Granted I ain't American, but I can certainly appreciate what you guys go through, just hope you left some crayons for the next batch of marines.. ;) I will say that they civilian produced 24/48/72 and beyond rations do seem to contain quite a bit of better stuff than the FSR does, indeed. I suppose it is just the American in me, lounging for the true experience of a FSR, that wants one. While I have no doubt the civilians ones are far better, I just kinda feel a bit more attached to true and tried American stuff, that is, field tested and hopefully? Approved FSR. I have nothing negative to say about the civilian equiviliants, possibly due to me never trying them.
That chicken soft taco did look very good. I may have to get one of these rations to try. Or, will black helicopters fly over and camp on top of my house if I buy one?
It's actually pretty crazy how you always use dull knives during production of your videos. You know you're going to be cutting things before going into the wasteful videos because you won't use your hands. Atleast grab your $150 scissors

The chicken chunks are underrated. With that sauce and some cheese spread they are one of the better MRE/FSR items. Simple but good. Cool review!
Could also try pouring the hot sauce into the chicken bag and mix it up before putting on the tortee-luhs. Just a thought.
I came to a conclusion while watching this; MREs are basically army-man Lunchables. Maybe that's why we like them. Lunchables are fun.

Love the review as always. Speaking of garage doors, I ended up with five staples in my head last time I "fixed" mine.

Chicken is probably Sweet Sue . They have similar packaging and I think the FSR version is just unprinted.

It's food made to be eaten on the go for operations where sitting down and preparing a meal isn't an option.
