I loved everything about this ration. My version had raisins and I ate them...and I hate raisins. Pro tip: freeze them first. Mine also had the pudding and a cranberry-raspberry energy bar. Both delicious.
I'm starting to like the FSR's less the more I eat them. That being said I think the military should issue these more often to cut down on how often Soldiers have to resupply. Thanks for watching.
@@emp5reviewsandhistory616 I should say hooked on Foreign MRE's. I parcel one out to last 4-5 lunches. 20 years in the Army Guard and our MRE's are pretty blaah.
30 years in public education I new ate an MRE at school. Usually the cafeteria lunch. I will say the MRE pizza reminds me of the cafeteria pizza. I did an XMRE Pizza review about a year back you might enjoy. Blessings 🙏🏼
Hindsight being 2020 you're right. I was never a big fan of hot sauce when I was eating MRE's as a cadet. I got more into hot sauce on my meals when I was stuck with mass produced Army DFAC eggs. Hot sauce is a requirement for those. Thanks for watching.
My experience....the soup wasn't bad. I used it as spread for my chicken tacos. Only gripe is the tortillas were so dry as to be difficult to separate. Needs to be heated to get loose. Also the tortillas smelled dusty stale. They were ok tasting, but were past their prime.
I’m a chef and prepper. I agree with some things but others just wrong or cry baby opinions. I’m hiking and camping with this and I’m happy as can be with this.
the FSR is the unicorn of MRE's. I can get cases of the mil surp mres and pallot loads of the HDR but these.. good luck, my local surpless gets the HDRs by the pallot they cant give them away
You could send the troops something. They were these little boxes and it cost $5. I could get these little jars of clotted cream, which is butter. If they didn't know what it was they would figure it out when they ate it. I'm hoping someone had butter in their soup, butter makes everything taste better. They could put something like beef babyfood in a packet, some powdered peanut butter in another, and beef broth in another. You could mix those together. Maybe they could put a little packet of kikoman soy sauce in there (It is made in USA). Sprinkle some soy sauce in, and you would have a decent soup to drink with that leather they're feeding you. Extra protein at least. They could do it with chicken also.
Dude this what our Military has to eat so how do you think it's going to taste like? Like crap so don't complain over everything you eat. Still like your channel and I am a subscriber
I mainly complained about this meal due to blandness and that god awful soup mix. I enjoy probably 90 % of U.S. M.R.E.s and components. Thanks for watching and subscribing.

Ill have to try frozen raisins someday. Thanks for watching.
@@emp5reviewsandhistory616 please do try it. It's like healthy candy. Thanks for posting this great video.
Nice to see whats inside. Looked like you had some good food here. Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to more.
All good except that God awful soup. So gross. To me at least. Thanks for watching.
Have 3 FSR but waiting to get back to in-school teaching to use them. Got hooked on using MRE's for lunch at school. Nice video, enjoy them.

@@bugler4318 have you tried French ration menu 9 with the duck cassoulet
@@nige3801 I do not believe I have tried that menu.
Good review. +1 on your subs. Keep up the good work.

Should have used the hot sauce on the tacos.

I wouldnt call my opinion wrong or cry baby. Its just my opinion. We're all entitled to them. Thanks for watching though and glad you enjoy this menu.
Chef and prepper? That's an odd combination.
You kept the pudding, lol. Don't blame you.
I love MRE pudding. Thanks for watching.
I think some of this food might be best left in the package when eating it. I loses something when you actually see it.
Nothing to horrible in the First Strikes. Some regular MRE meals this definitely applies. Thanks for watching.

Surprised that soup wasn't caffeinated. Just about everything else was.
That soup was god awful. Caffeine would have at least made it worth the taste. Thanks for watching.

No wonder you guys were swapping army cots for Brit MREs during the first Gulf War in Iraq
Haha my dad never told me about swapping a bed for food in the First Gulf War but I believe it. Thanks for watching.
@@emp5reviewsandhistory616 respect to your dad buddy, actually I've just watched a bit again and it's not so bad really!
