My favorite playstyle with alternate start is to start off in the thieves guild and work my way to become an amazing thief and eventually the guildmaster. Then, once I've made a delicious sum of money, start putting some of it into Lakeview and retire ad a merchant. From then I discover helgen and the main quest begins as well as a path to learn how to swing a blade rather than a lock pick. Like a rags to riches kinda story
Too bad skyrim thieves guild sucks so much ass. Not even real thieves, just a bunch of thugs and racketeers under Maven's thumb. And in the end you have to sell your soul to Daedra to restore the guild to "glory" so it could lick Black-Briar boots more efficiently. Big whoop. Faction quests in general are such a letdown

I would say its worth mentioning LC Build your own Noble Home. As the name suggests its another mod by LC, and it basically does everything you're trying to create with these various mods, but all in one. You start with a small tiny campsite of a few tents, and during your playthrough, as you get more money and materials, you expand it into a proper a camp, a small mine, hire guards etc. Then as you hire workers to work the mines and the forests for lumber you build up more and more, building a few shops, barracks, an inn and finally a Keep/manor for yourself.
Yeah im familiar with this mod and i agree its great! Wanted to focus on revamping the already standing hearthfire areas then adding entire new ones but definitely a great mod that i would 100% recommend ! :)
Fun fact: even Bethesda doesn't count Hearthfire as a true DLC. In the in-game files, the DLCs are seperated as: Dawnguard = Dlc1, Hearthfire = BYO_ (which is most likely a reference to Build Your Own House mod) and Dragonborn = Dlc2
@@hi-gy5qo The terminology varies from person to person. DLC means DownLoadable Content, an addon needs to be downloaded, therefor it's also an DLC, just like some MMOs call new skins as DLCs.
What they need to do is make children more interactive. How much gold you give them when they ask directly, the number and worth of gifts and treats, have you left enough food or gold for them to live on while you are away. Have them able to learn skills from townspeople and both use those skills in game and talk about wanting to become that sort of person or if they hate that skill wanting nothing to do with it. Keep them on a shoestring budget and keep them close to hungry and they react harshly with you. Force them into a career they hate and the hate you. Allow the player to discipline the child up to a point if they misbehave. Lavish affection and gifts on them and they become spoiled brats demanding more and more for the same levels of affection returned. Treat them well, but with some discipline and they become good kids who want to please you as their good and loving adopted parent. Allow different degrees of reaction based on what treatment you give to each single child. Treat Sofia like a princess and she becomes a little spoiled monster. Send Lucia to bed without supper for not finishing her chores too often and she becomes sullen and withdrawn and a constant source of amusement for her sister Sofia to attack and belittle. You wouldn't need a lot of options either on jobs, bard, blacksmith, priest, fletcher, captain of the guard, steward if you want to turn your kids into future nobles, farmer. A single prompt, plus a follow up conversation with some additional price options with the more money spent equaling better overall learning experience. The longer they work the better they get. Have for instance terrible lute playing after a few lessons that you actually can hear and if you tell them to stop murdering that lute they stop wanting to play, but if you endure they get better up to a certain point with each kid having natural levels of skill. Sofia might be a very good bard in the making while Hroar is a natural born blacksmith and if you match the kid with his or her natural skill they eventually provide you with gifts, basic items, they made or sing beautiful little songs or lute or flute solos you wouldn't hear otherwise.
Imagine if we could become jarl of our own town(s) with this kind of building. Kinda like with the Minutemen or the Nuka-world raiders, maybe we could be our own faction (but this time for real, making our own custom faction would be dope, maybe make a cult, a resistance, democracy, etc.). Imagine if there was a Morrowind x New Vegas -esque game.
If skyrim had the Fallout 4 workshop I think it would fit perfectly, I would love to build a nice little house using snap together templates. You could build a nice watchtower, customize the layout of your smithing and alchemy workstations.
I love Fallout 4, I have not modded mine yet. I started having so much fun I didn't finish the storyline yet. I want a 3-way ending of peace which is hard to do, but I think I get how to now. I love building the living areas and was having so much fun building them. I want to mod it especially to remove those dang dead bodies, I got tired of dragging them one by one, miles away... It would be fun to have the workshop in Skyrim, but not sure it fits in there.
Sorry to add to an old comment, but I was just thinking about this today after playing Starfield (and being disappointed in it and the fact there is no Workbench.) In ES6, it'd be great to have a FO4 type Workbench. We can dump out stuff into it, and then break down fur boots/iron swords, etc, at the appropriate workbenches. If we find something enchanted, we can disenchant it and not have it break, but maybe put our own enchantment on it that suit our playstyle. Even if breaking items down levels with our Smithing. So, at base you can break down iron, basic armours, then at higher levels be able to break down Orc/Elven/Ebony etc items if you'd rather have those materials to craft something else. Then, to be able to buy/find blueprints to build our various structures around our base (like you say) would be great. Whether a simple cottage, or a farm or a settlement in a castle, the options and RP ideas would be fantastic! Especially with FO4's snapping system.

the mod I want the most is to change the house in itself, like, having the choice wether I want the original manor or a more fortified one with stone and all, because it doesn't make a lot of sense to have a manor with such weak walls in the middle of the wilderness with no protection and in the constant potential danger of an invasion, Draco's mod already helps in that regard, but I still want to change the shape of the house I'm going to live in, I liked it at first, but after building the same house time and time again in several playthroughs I kinda want some change, anyway I have downloaded all the mods in the description, and I'm a little excited to see how they look like

Another amazing video! I normally skip the sponsor bits, but when they're as interesting as yours of course I'll watch the whole thing. Seriously, keep up the good work.
Regarding the crashes with Draco's Exteriors and the other mods, the culprit is probably LC Feudal Keep. The LC mods have amazing content, but they also have some issues on the backend - all of his home mods tend to cause crashing, LOS, and fps issues when used in conjuction with other mods. Not sure if the author just isn't cleaning them well or what, but if you're troubleshooting mod issues with one of them installed, try disabling the LC mod first.
House guards, especially for the builded alchemy tower, so an archer in the tower (or builded Towers in General). Two guards right & left for at the front door outside.

Thank you, Heavy Burns for your video. I wondered if anyone was still using my Hearthfire Homes Exterior mod. I never did finished all the fixes and plans I had for them. But, seeing your video gives me a renewed interest. I will have to fire up the creation kit and see what I have in the works. Then, finish it for an update. See you said, you had some crashes with Heljarchen. Is that with latest Heljarchen Farm installed or 1.47. Have had a friend named Skyrimknight22 wanting me to update and patch for latest version of Heljarchen Farm. I will look closer on patching the farm to work better with my mod. Again, Thank you for mention. If it ok, I will add your video to my description with your permission.
I have updated Heljarchen Exterior Upgrade to improve compatibility with other mods. Turns out Crashes are being reported in comments on Heljarchen farm with new version. I also found a fix and posted in comments on Heljarchen farm how to fix the issue. Doesn't effect everyone but seems to be made worse by other mods in area. I too was crashing when using with Heljarchen farm and was able to resolve the issue with a fix I posted in comments on mod page.

Welp, I am all caught up on the videos now: I think. One day (practically) and 31 new mod downloads later and here I am. Now I just need to figure out which plugins I can merge together so I can play all of these new mods; considering I already had 253 active plugins before I found this channel. Heavy Burns, I have been watching Skyrim TH-camrs for as long as they have been a thing, and you have quickly soared to one of my favorites! :D Edit: I also may or may not be completely reworking all of my mods.
I just wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the effort you put into these videos, the creative process that goes into introducing noteworthy mods that improve the game and bring it closer to our dream that much more!
Worth noting that if you use the Ordinator perk overhaul, the Heljarchen Hall upgrades from Draco's Hearthfire Homes Exterior will obstruct your access to one of the shrines from the Wild Shrines perk. If you're on PC and can toggle collision this isn't as much of an issue, but if you're on console it can be pretty annoying. I tried to contact both mod authors about it and the response was radio static, so I just uninstalled the Heljarchen Hall upgrades.
Having those mods be like: Heavy Burns: But what about... H e l j a r c h e n ? 7:23 : Woah that's my hood! Right there! 6:43 : Hey! It's Uncle Loreius! No mistaking that dome.. 8:14 : Oh sh*t! That's our street! 7:55 : By the Nine! It's that's.. that's my gaming chair! To Frostfall Guard: Why didn't you tell me Heavy Burns was coming man! I could've toured them around with Cicero's wheels.. oh wait. Man this episode is like watching yourself on MTV Cribs - Skyrim Edition.. ..it really hit home!
This DLC was glorious for a lot of us. Building your own modular house? Hell yeah! Nearly 10 years later after seeing what unpaid moders did with it...I think we are all kind of disapointed in bethesda. The idea of adding quests to the homestead building is great!
Keep in mind Bethesda is on a budget as well as time constraints. What they achieved was phenomenal. Even after 10 years, the collective of mods haven't achieved the amount of content Bethesda studios did. I love mods too, but until beyond skyrim releases, it's not the same to improve something as it is to build it from the ground up.
It could be cool if there was an ability to build in Solsthiem a new Dunmeri settlement (kind of like the making of Raven Rock in Bloodmoon). Maybe it could be made in the interior of Solsthiem or along the Northern coast (I think that it could be cool seeing how Dunmeri architecture would have to adapt to a more Skyrim like climate) plus having some Skaal join in to assist and contribute culturally would be interesting.
A great video. While I am a console player due to pc limitations, this videos makes me even more inspired than before to try out new mods for Skyrim, and this choices really makes a seemingly meager DLC on par with the Horse Armours DLC a little more special. Also the goddamn music got me. And I'm sure I heard it somewhere... or maybe it reminds me of some other track. In case someone is that gentle to tell me the title, it would be a great present for me.

Another amazing video! I normally skip the sponsor bits, but when they're as interesting as yours of course I'll watch the whole thing. Seriously, keep up the good work.
Thanks man! Glad you enjoyed :)
You’re just spoiling us at this point
I will not rest! More videos! Sleep is for the weak!
Great video and great music choice as always. Keep up the good work brother :)
Thanks man :)
House guards, especially for the builded alchemy tower, so an archer in the tower (or builded Towers in General). Two guards right & left for at the front door outside.
Omg Heavy, you got sponsored! I’m so happy for you and your channel’s growth! Such high quality videos are finally getting the recognition they deserve ❤️
Thanks sm !
"Guess we're throwing on mods again."
Me, literally every time I even consider playing Skyrim.
😂
I love how it starts out with the house building theme from Red Dead Redemption 2.
Honestly, as someone who likes playing as Bosmer, I’m really looking forward to someone to mod a tree house home similar to the fungi homes in Solstheim
Finally ordered a pc that can run Skyrim again after my laptop broke, your vids have literally been my only Skyrim fix for over a year now I’m gonna be rewatching half of them to find mods I wanna add when the pc comes
Burns: "You can pick and choose one home."
Me: *laughs in Dragonborn money*
It baffles me how much sick stuff modders can do with the game. Woah
I too was crashing when using with Heljarchen farm and was able to resolve the issue with a fix I posted in comments on mod page.
you deserve more subs, seeing how your vids have so many cinematics, so much lore, and just look amazing! Keep up the good work.🤗
Your modding series are superb. Really good for us trying to make a play-through with coherent themes.
hi heavy burns you forgot at lakeview manor there is a mod called mixwater mill that you can own and make money from it is on the other side of the lake
Ah thats a good shout if you want to give another business similar to the other two! Thanks :)
@@HeavyBurns surprised you did not know it starts off ruined but you can rebuild it and use the cabin your self or rent it out and employ a logger to work the mill and make money for you every three days if you want to know more check out brodual youtube channel
That's sick bro this will add fun for heathfire
Welp, I am all caught up on the videos now: I think.
One day (practically) and 31 new mod downloads later and here I am.
Now I just need to figure out which plugins I can merge together so I can play all of these new mods; considering I already had 253 active plugins before I found this channel.
Heavy Burns, I have been watching Skyrim TH-camrs for as long as they have been a thing, and you have quickly soared to one of my favorites! :D
Edit: I also may or may not be completely reworking all of my mods.
I HEAR HOUSE BUILDING THEME IN THE BEGINNING!!! In the whistling part
These kind of vids are an amazing addition to the channel. Skyrim is judt getting better and better
Thanks Felix :)
I somehow feel that Hearthfires Extended should've been mentioned, but all in all great video
Bro you're spoiling us with so many videos
Sleep is for the weak ;)
Awesome Video! I've been looking for something exactly like this
thanks :) Glad you enjoyed
Very cool I will be checking some of these out.
Love the rdr2 building theme at the start. Uncle would be proud.
Having those mods be like:
Heavy Burns: But what about...
00:02 I'd recognize that theme anywhere, good one Heavy Burns!
I've dont LC Build your Own Noble House a couple times and it's real cool. No real customization at all, but that just means you can make everything.
A third of this video is Intro + Raid Shadow Legends Ad
Peak TH-cam
This DLC was glorious for a lot of us. Building your own modular house? Hell yeah! Nearly 10 years later after seeing what unpaid moders did with it...I think we are all kind of disapointed in bethesda. The idea of adding quests to the homestead building is great!
Keep in mind Bethesda is on a budget as well as time constraints. What they achieved was phenomenal. Even after 10 years, the collective of mods haven't achieved the amount of content Bethesda studios did. I love mods too, but until beyond skyrim releases, it's not the same to improve something as it is to build it from the ground up.
My man STILL has the best editing on TH-cam, Talos be praised!
Gonna add these to my next play through, Thank you so much for the video
I’ve always loved the way this guy covers mods, makes me want to hop back into the game so bad.
Just came across your channel today and I'm super glad I did.
Dude I never want your videos to end
The House at the Beginning was beautiful (:
Awesome video brother !! Great work 👌👍🏻
appreciate it bro :)
Its makes me super happy that this many years on from the release of Skyrim the community is still thriving! :D
Thanks for an informative, pleasant review. That sounds a lot more fun than vanilla Hearthfire.
I have never heard someone say "You know what, Im gonna play Raid" but I know that ad money helps grow the chanel😎
Congrats on the sponsorships. 36K Subs now. I wonder how many million subs you'll have next year
Been watching and the way you make the videos is amazing.
Dude your content is so wholesome and awesome
It was creepy starting this video because I was whistling the house building song right beforehand
In case someone is that gentle to tell me the title, it would be a great present for me.
wait this is available on console? I play on the Xbox one
damn fast uploads 🔥🔥
Mr Burns with your commercials I'd buy anything for a dollar lol !!!
Nice you even got sponsored!
Thanks bro :)
Your videos style/aesthetic is super cool. Subbed

Cool youtuber, professional & cinematic video. Subscribed.
I always used the LC Citadel mod for this stuff. Fellburg was very enjoyable to build up
Love the melodysheep music btw
TFW you have vanilla Skyrim with no DLCs and you an't buy the separate DLC's anymore.
Ad ends at 2:55
Forgot to comment but this video was great, and came out right before I started a nobleman land-owner playthrough hahaha so suffice to say you just overhauled my money making plans
The cinematics are PHENOMENAL
lets go burnsy!
Your content is brilliant
Thanks! :)
you basically put an enticing tittle to get people to view your commercial
Ever since Red Dead 2 came out, i've been using the House Building song while building my house
Video starts at 3:00
