I'm surprised how lenient the cops have become to this over the years....Trying this type of riding back in the 80s, 90s early 2000s would be unheard of....You'd have swarms of cops trying to arrest everyone & impound all the bikes......I doubt this could even be done in many smaller cities today......Like Peoria or Springfield IL .... Even in like 2015 cops in Peoria & Springfield would ticket you for riding a motorized bicycle......I think it's a generational type thing.....The older ball busting prick generation are no longer working as cops.....Not sure if that's the case.....But I remember like 2006 in Peoria IL my buddy had been drinking (just slightly buzzed not wasted) ..So he rode a kids razor non electric/non motorized scooter. Up to grab some food around midnight in summer time....Riding on the sidewalk. Some old cop stopped and told him he couldn't ride it & had to walk it....Similar to cops years ago. Stopping kids from riding skateboards on streets or sidewalks....Kinda strange, since if he had been on a bicycle. He could have rode on the sidewalk or street...But oh no, not a scooter....Yet now they have electric scooter rentals everywhere. The older generations of cops really did suck. Busting kids balls for riding anything other than a bicycle.
It's so fun to watch these videos knowing that everything is being done on a closed course by professionals! I would not dare to watch this if it were just some guys on public streets. Only law-abiding citizens for me!
