You can cut the rear bars down at the bung so you don’t have to cut the middle and add tubing to the inside
Id be interested to see if that worked myself. It'd be worth a try since you can pick up a stock cage for cheap.

Have you removed the cage and reinstalled it after doing this, wondering how much tension is on it.
Yea I have and surprising not much as you would think. Ive helped install several aftermarket cages as well and they never line up perfectly.
Where did you get your inserts from?
Made them out of scrap metal. Look up the forums about cage chops there are some good info on what size tubing to use!

Tubing cutter is a great idea tho ill be using that.
Surprisingly it kept it's shape after the strap come off and you can't tell lol thanks for checking out the video!
