    ILL MAKE THIS ALL CAPS, ITS IMPORTANT......THE KEY POINT IS "RUBBER BOOT INSTALLED ON THE ENGINE 1ST. THE BOOTS HAVE THAT SLANTED CUT TO GUIDE THE CARBS....IF YOU WILL INTALL THE BOOT TO THE CARB 1ST, YOU MIGHT END UP RUINING THE BOOT.....AND OF COURSE DONT FORGET TO LUBE.

    Best video I seen on installing Magna carbs for years 1994-2003. No bloviating or annoying music.

    Great job and so needed video! Bought my yellow Magna new in 1996. The Honda dealer charged me $500.00 two years ago and I know it's gone up if I do it again. I will do it myself next time. Thank you Manny

    You put the float bowls on backwards. The float drain needles are supposed to be on the outside so you can get to them when the carburetors are on the bike!

    I have a '94 magna VF750. The carbs were leaking fuel so I took it to a shop for a rebuild. Mind you I had to remove the carb myself and bring in just that. Not a big deal, but I am very new to riding so my problem may be my own fault. Anyway, got the carb back, put the bike back together and now it won't start. :( It turns over, but just won't start. Not sure if it's something I did in the installation or if it means the rebuild was bad or what. Any ideas?

      they have a vacuum automatic fuel shut off so it's nothing that you did wrong in the first place. in fact leaking carbs is a sign of having the same exact issue that I had in this video where the float needle had no more gasket left. as for the no start it could be a multitude of things but the simplest thing is that maybe it's jetted wrong or you forgot to turn on the fuel once you put the carbs back on from your petcock

    How do you take out the pin for the float? Been having trouble trying to take it out!

      watch it again I actually gave a tip on that in the video as I saw that would be a problem spot. happy riding!

    Great video. I just got a 1988 Honda super magna 750. Would carburetor be same? Did you have to synchronize yours? thank you.

      you can bench synch them by looking at the butterfly valves in comparison to the little holes in the side of the inlet. just make sure they're all same

    My carbs haven’t been cleaned for 5-6 years now. And she still rips like a silver back ape. (Almost riding season near me) but next fall she’s getting rebuilt.

      Would that be because there is real petrol available in every of your country's gas station?

    @ 4:35 you mention how "people complain how hard it is ..." . There's a HUGE difference re-installing carbs on a 3rd gen. bike (like yours) and a 1st gen. bike. The carb bank angle is more pronounced on the 1st gen. bikes making the alignment and fit a lot more difficult. The 3rd gen. alignment is almost straight on compared to the 1st gen's. Maybe that's what folks are complaining about.?.?.?

    • @MannyMarvelous
      @MannyMarvelous  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      that's a good point!
      I'm familiar with that fact but the way to get it on is still the same. what I'm really trying to say is that complaining isn't going to make it any better but finding ways to have machines work for you instead of against you will always prevail.

    Can you do a vid on bench synching these carbs? I bought mine last season. It needed a lot of TLC. I've redone all fluids, new steel brake lines. Lithium battery. Everything except the carbs. They scares me 😂

    • @MannyMarvelous
      @MannyMarvelous  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm pretty sure there's a section in my video about how to bench sync. but if not here's the trick. it's super easy. as long as the jets are already set- all you need to do is adjust the 1 screw on each butterfly valve so that the little time hole on the wall of the intake that meets the butterfly valve is barley visible when the valves are closed. do this to each one then you can adjust idle from there while running. you'll need to take the unit off first.
