Touhou: Fantastic Danmaku Festival Part II - Final Stage

The stage itself is fairly self explanatory, however fairly dense as well. All you really need to do is just hang out near the bottom and dodge what comes your way from the fireworks show of danmaku the ghosts and fairies fire.
Hyp returns as a mid-boss, but he's not too bad here. Biggest thing to keep in mind is he keeps firing overlapping attacks with one being more clear than the other. Make sure you keep focusing on dodging the direct blast, but always keep in mind the sparse stars he also mixes in.
Yuyuko's one of those bosses that's ready to throw everything but the kitchen sink at you. Specifically in this case, many of her attacks incorporate various part favors into them. Similar to Hyp though, the logic is still basically that she's firing an easier to read main attack at you, but behind it is a more subtle and spaced out attack. Your goal is mainly to do your best to avoid instances when both waves are overlapping one another.

I'm sorry this game has absolutely no right to be as pretty as it is, even the shot types are pretty.
Idk why but sometimes the beauty of Touhou games gets me a little choked up, it's a bit problematic when trying to finish a run.

I love this stage's design, how the fairies appear as fireworks (and so are their bullets) and how Yuyuko appears (truly majestic).
Talking about Yuyuko, are we really going to ignore her neat swirling animation during her non-spells?

I can't stop imagining the Team Fortress 2 Spy singing "gentlemen" during yuyuko's theme.
Really good final boss! I like how they focused on Yuyuko's fans rather than the butterflies for the most part. The way the sakura theme was added to her cards was also really neat, especially the one where she makes a laser tree grow! Super cool fight, even if it does look a bit easy other than one or two cards. I also like the weird pop rock version of her theme; it's climactic but in a sort of quirky way, which is fitting for Yuyuko I guess lmao
I am agreed with you. I hope one day the previous games get a remake by ZUN with all the improvements of Fantastic Danmaku Festival saga. I also hope there will be part 3.
PCB is probably my favourite 2hu game and I loved how this game paid great homage to it, from the stages, to the music, and the bosses. It's so gosh dang pretty.

God. Damn. The OST is fucking eargasmic. And the spellcards are absolutely crazy and cool! And her fan attacks and spinning are so COOL!

I think it's really cool how in the beginning of the stage, they are shooting up fireworks, which are also danmaku bullets.

So... 3 Miss 3 Border Breaks. (I think, anyway.) Honestly with the places you got those in I'd say you're good enough for NNNN. An NB run is also pretty nice to have though.
Also I'm not really a fan of Yuyuko's design in this game. (PUN UNINTENDED, GO AWAY BEE, I ALMOST SAID "BUZZ OFF" BEFORE REALIZING.)
I already didn't exactly like her originally but this design is just... Meh.
So pretty!!!!! It's so pretty! I can't wait for them to make a fdf3! But for now, great video as always and I look forward to the extra!

Now, this stage... this stage I'm very mixed on. On one hand I love the stage portion, with the firework fairies and the parades (especially the one that Yuyuko enters in). Hyp's midboss battle is kind of weird and boring, though.
And then there's Yuyuko... I'm just going to say it, this fight bad. Her attacks are way too dependant on introducing new bullet types (which I'm all for usually, but this fight does it way too much and it gets annoying), not to mention the actual attacks just have straightup boring design (save for her last three spells). Also, her theme is an ear-stabbing abomination that feels so out-of-place and couldn't sound less like Yuyuko if it tried, though the Resurrection Butterfly theme does make up for it.
Also, is it just me, or is her fifth spell way easier on Hard and Lunatic than on Normal? But then again it's been a while since I last saw her fight on Lunatic...
it's harder on hard/lunatic. on normal you can wait for yellow bullets to be fired and then take your soul back. on lunatic you need to take it back while still getting shooted by this bullets. Also, it feels like on lunatic fire, that yuyuko shoots, aimed on you
Yeah, I remembered wrong. What I falsely remembered was that Hard/Lunatic had more bullets from the sides but none of the idle floating blue flowers. That way all of the dodging would be vertical, which would make things a lot easier since you'd be moving vertically to reclaim your soul.

In my view this game sure does a great job on the overall art and does a better job than those 2hufangames
But its just polarising with its art, the gameplay is really plain and mediocore with some peaks
And not a slightest try to evolve in any way pff

About the gameplay, FDF2 pattern and play style is weaker compared to the first game.
But graphic and overall design is splendid.
