Though I am late but- NOPE!! Yukari's not killing her there. From the plot, Yukari wants to collect power from Suika to like... charge a weapon for her. And Yukari asks Suika to collect petals that can strengthen her even more in which she absorbs them all, resulting her getting overwhelmed by the power and making her out of control and therefore Yukari has to come out and stop her.
This Phantasm stage really showcased the brute force of an oni, especially one like Suika. I like the fire and magma theme Suika has, her nonspells look like references to other characters like Yuyuko and Gengetsu, her spellcards are so shockingly powerful and beautiful. I like how Yukari comes out at the end, minus the plot, it's almost like, "Well this is a PCB Phantasm stage, and PCB Phantasm stage ends with my danmaku bounded field :^)" Although I do wonder what would Suika's last spellcard on last phase look like :O Edit: I forgot to mention, Suika's theme is so hype, I think it's a remix of Broken Moon and Onigashima in the Fairyland? Damn hot.

I think that's cool that they added a phantasm stage because this game is just really really easy. Bullet hitboxes are so small compared to the main games and you can just abuse the sakura border system to get tons of lifes and bombs. It feels like it's always active so you have a permanent shield. With that said, damn this boss looks hard. Good thing that this game has spell practice. The only ex boss I didn't beat is Hecatia (actually I beat her recently with Reisen and her OP bombs but I'm not going to try with other characters) so I don't know if this Suika is worst or not
God, this game is beyond beautiful, and so many interesting and varied spells. I feel that the creators of this rival the skills of even ZUN. I really hope they continue the series.

Uhh hate to break it to you but PoFV never had any particularly unique spells specifically due to the multiplayer nature of the game, the extra stage was just an AI opponent being unkillable while throwing a lot of generic danmaku at you until the timer ran out. A phantasm stage could only extend this timer, not change any boss patterns, which sounds pretty boring.

Suika's attacks in this game remind me a lot of dungeon fighter, At least the art style of it. Also I bet suika would be a grappler saying how many rocks she uses.

We kinda have to consider Touhou 8 had the duo system. every girl had someone else with them so if they plan to put reisen she needs a partner and if we look back to the others they all have a big shoot watching out for them soooooo reisen needs kinda the same and the only big shot i can imgae would be Eirin. and tewi might get the stage 5? cause in the fdf2 liliy withe gots a hole stage by herself so could go like this. And maby since kaguya and mokou kinda have the same powerlvl (i guess) they could split the stage 6 between them or even just fuse them and make the final fight a duo against a duo xD. Tho for the extra stage...they put sukia the final boss form a acutaly fighting game so i was thinking.... tenshi for the fdf 3 extra stage? that would be kinda cool :x oh ye there is also the time system to make the final fight longer with like 100000 more spell cards rly exicited to see whats happenig with the new game! rly cant wait!

There's probably still a gap between those rocks, since the rock hitboxes are deceptively small. It does look like a certain death before you try squeezing through them in desperation, though :P

Well, wanting to compare to official ones, it depends on *which* game we take for comparison. Like, LoLK is very high on difficulty scale, while MoF somewhere lower. In general, the game's not that difficult on average. Lower game difficulties shouldn't pose much challenge. Lunatic difficulty doesn't have many nasty spots, making LNN not too hard to get. You should be fine with the game :)
Now that this version focus more on the pcb version of the main touhou game i realy need a better computer.i can't play,now but i'm working and i'll buy a better computer so i can play it.
