I have one of this... 16 gigs of RAM, 256 gigs of SSD. My wife loves it and it's running Monterey, she doesn't need anything better than that right now. Very reliable machine and excellent OS even nowadays.
I just swapped the battery on my wife's 2015 pro! It made such a huge difference...but I should've done the thermal paste while I was at it!!! Great vid!
This is the G.O.A.T.! i have one in mint condition, brand new original battery, 16GB Ram, and a 512GB original SSD. It's a collectors item for me. I use a 2017 A1707 with the highest spec as my daily. For thermals on your a1502, you really should get a new fan rubber seal, without the seal it really struggles to direct and direct the exhaust hot air out of the casing.
Hey I have the same macbook , I am trying to replace it's blown speakers , but I found the ifxit screw driver sets too expensive especially when I don't have too many use case of them other than this repair. Can you recommend a cheaper alternative that have decent quality which won't strip the screws?
There’s the mini screw set from ifixit which I used in this video for $20, it can be used in a lot of environments, it’s hard recommending good sets as I’ve only used this the most and plus it’s you can return it after the repair 😏
This is the type of stuff we need to see.
@@TheGuysTH-camTV more to come 😏

Agree! 16gb was a good upgrade choice for longevity
but cooller on 6k rpm all time :)

very easy to replace but thermal paste is equivalent to doing laundry, easy but you don't feel like doing it haha

That makes sense for my MacBook Air! Will see if I have any rubber seal
Got one still! The advice for years was to skip 2016-2019 macs, any model. So these stuck around
same here!
Have this exact Macbook on right now running bare metal Linux. Works perfectly
Best MacBook ever?
Cool mac video!😇
Thank you!
I still have this and replaced the speakers. How did you clean the screen? What did you use?
i used wipes! but someone just commented clorox wipes will do better
@@cynonexus thanks!
What fluid did you use to remove the screen anti-glare coating?
@@steve-852 just alcohol wipes and a lot of elbow grease, there might be a far better solution
i'm still using same model since brand new! In 2025 okay for basic work and light photo editing 😎
still fantastic!
Cool Video
Thank you!

I get no pop ups though when running Mac OS
Hahaha
Clorox wipes work better than alcohol. Be gentle with the pressure you apply on the panel (ask me how I know)
noted! I can't find my clorox wipes but I know those works wonders
Dammit! I just traded in my 2015 MACBOOK PRO 13" 16BG RAM last month for $100! (Battery was pretty much shot.lol)
@@darthslackus499 would’ve been an easy fix!
I take the heat pipe off and replace the thermal paste. So eaxy
Easier than even some of windows computers at the time
Mine is the 3.0 Ghz though
Nice!
I have a 2017 MacBook Pro.... Maybe I should have gotten a 2015 instead 😅
@@xashwty have 2 2017s that I bought for sister and mom brand new… they’re still working apart from the degraded battery and sticky keys
