I havea white MacBook 2010 (320m, 12GB RAM, 512GB SSD), and I’d love to hear your opinion on which macOS version would run smoother, Monterey or Big Sur? I’ll mainly use it for browsing, Office, Teams, and some light tasks, but I’m looking for a smooth experience. Also, do you recommend any tweaks to improve performance (like disabling shadows, transparency, animations, etc.)? Thanks a ton in advance!

It looks so easy. I think I should give it a shot with the RAM and the SSD. I still use mine daily. It's just too slow. Hope the little upgrade does wonders. Thank you for showing a good close up.

love my unibody macbook pro 2012. its insanely durable, modular in many ways and very easy to upgrade and fix stuff on. They last forever. Only problem is they overheat.

I liked the white apple products very much and I find it sad, that nowadays there are no all white products anymore

Hi just bought mbp 2012 from a friend just want to know if its still worth the upgrade ? though the battery quite draining fast I think it only last for 2-3 hrs from 100% but it perform very well though.

i have this imac and ive installed every operating system on it, latest windows, latest mac os, latest linux, all works well, gaming also works pretty well its very good you can still use it very well in 2024

I was able to buy an mbp 2012 for £15 @fb market...upgraded the ram to 16gb, ssd 500gb and installed the latest OS SEQUIOA via OCLP.... amazing

Got a mid 2012 13" i7 2.9Ghz MBP, upgraded to 16GB and bigger SSD, installed latest Sonoma via OCLP. After leaving it overnight on 'sleep' so it could do all it's indexing malakary. Initial opening of apps was slow (first time) then reopen at 2 bounces only. Screensaver was a bit 'jerky' but discovered you can speed it up by changing the fancy animated wallpaper to a static pic. Slowness fixed!

Installed Linux Mint on mine. Now have current version of chrome and OS suppor to 2027-2029.Bluetooth does not reconise all devices Linux Apple thing I understand.

I got one last year for $80 and i found it to be a good distraction free word processor. Not to mention all the other early 2000’s software you can run on it.

I still use my 2012 15 inch MBP for everyday stuff like school for example. I have it with an i7-3615QM, 12 gb ddr3, 512 gb ssd, and GT 650M. It also has the upgraded anti glare display too. It runs flawlessly on macOS Ventura patched and it’s a workhorse of a laptop. I sometimes edit my footage on that thing and it works just fine. I love older machines like this. I plan on using this for as long as it can as it’s the best laptop I’ve ever used. Yes I know it’s heavy compared to newer macbooks but I’m pretty used to this. I got 100 firefox tabs on my laptop before and it handled it like a champ really.

I did the same thing but also removed the cd rom and installed the original HD in that slot. works beautiful

Just revived my grandparents' old 2011 13" MBP. SSD, new battery and 16 gigs of memory and its not bad. It runs macOS Sequoia fairly well too with opencore legacy patcher

I’m a new beginner doing music & I had recently brought one for $300 & it’s like brand new without a single scratch on it & has macOS Catalina version 10.15.7 2.9 GHz Dual-Core intel Core i7 Processor 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 HD Graphics 4000 1536 MB with a 500 GB Solid State SATA Drive & I have a Samsung 2TB External SSD. As a new beginner I wanted to ask if you think that I should do any upgrades? because I had ordered the BENFEI Mini DisplayPort to VGA Adapter, Mini DP Display Port to VGA (Thunderbolt Compatible) Male to Female Adapter from Amazon to go with my silver HP 22”er monitor but unfortunately I won’t have the adapter until Wednesday
