    Xi'an is home to some of the best street food in China - with a huge muslim population that eats only halal food, with tons of beef and lamb, noodles, and more, as well as a large Han Chinese population that has it's own distinct Chinese cuisine. Each cuisine has unique recipes and we are showing you how the cooking is done on the street!
    Some of the famous Street Food in Xi'an, China is shown in this street food vlog by myself (Trevor James, The Food Ranger).
    In this Xi'an series, we're bringing you to try some of the best street food in Xi'an.
    In my opinion, Xi'an is a true street food HEAVEN. You can find tons of Islamic Chinese halal food like SPICY lamb kebabs, biang biang noodles, spicy and nutty liangpi jelly noodles, spinach noodles, roujiamo Chinese pita burgers with beef or lamb, and han style roujiamo burgers made with pork as well, along with sweet desserts with dates and ingredients commonly found further west.
    I hope that you enjoy this full street food tour of Xi'an. This is just part 1. You're going to love the food if you visit here! Xi'an is a true Chinese street food lovers heaven! You can eat so much, and I always miss the city after I leave. There is just so much food to try! You have to come here to eat!
    I also really love the variety of Xi'an noodles you can try. In this street food vlog, we sample the famous spinach noodles, but there is so much more, like Xi'an biang biang noodles, and yangroupaomo rice noodles with beef as well.
    Here are the addresses to the restaurants in this Chinese street food tour video of Xi'an, China:
    5) Xi'an Muslim Hui Chinese Style Jianbing -
    Street Stall Name: 老丁家
    Street food address: 庙后街191号
    4) Luzhi Liangfen (A jelly noodle covered in a mustard garlic chili sauce)
    Restaurant name: 老何家卤汁凉粉
    Restaurant address: 西大街287号
    3) Hongmigao bing ( A deef fried pastry made of sticky rice dough and stuffed with sweet molasses and rose)
    Street food stall name: 红米糕
    Street food address: Intersection of 庙后街 And 小学西巷
    2) Suantang Jiaozi sweet and spicy beef dumplings:

    HUGE THANKS to ExpressVPN for offering all Food Ranger viewers 3 months free and 49% off their yearly package using this link: ExpressVPN.com/Thefoodranger . Travelers need ExpressVPN to stay safe online and to unblock any site. I personally use it for Netflix, even while at home in Canada, but also while traveling to unblock content and episodes that are geoblocked, and I also use it for security, because airport wifi and hotel wifi is often very insecure, leaving my data vulnerable. By connecting to one of their servers around the world, it’s just like my computer or phone is in that location, and all data sent while connected to their VPN is secure, safe, and private from others to see, so I know that my data won’t be hacked or looked at by others. Thanks so much for watching, and we have tons more videos coming up for you! Please leave me a comment below letting me know what you thought about this episode, thanks so much!!!

      I wonder how types of places like that you never hear of diabetes.....but in places like North Carolina and other towns you hear of people with diabetes constantly. To me .....the places you visit seems like they have the greatest food in the world but yet the healthiest all at the same time sometimes. We eat way to many starches around my towns. Same foods all the time. I'm been here 36 years and its same food all the time around here. You even go in the grocery store same meats and same can goods, same pastas🤣🤣🤣🤣 we have to put out country thinking caps on big time round here and really cook country to different foods. Maybe because we live here we just get tired of eating same stuff 🤣🤣 I'd love to go to places like that one day.

    That lady from the second place was pure class. She really looked so hospitable while saying relatively little.
    And she wiped the dish clean of excess sauce before serving it! Classy.

      Anthony bourdain was also a degenerate junky drug addict and coward who took the easy way out, leaving behind a teenage daughter. Zero respect for your idol.

    • @paulwilkinson8977
      @paulwilkinson8977 6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@mal-a.6888 yeah I bet that teenage daughter would appreciate your comment. You obviously knew him on a level where you knew exactly what he was feeling. He had a lot of flaws, but did good, too. You however, come off as completely classless.

      You realize i was replying to someone who came in and was critiquing the uploader. He was implying he should try and be more like Anthony Bourdain which is what I found funny and obviously why i mentioned what I did. Thanks for judging me without knowing me, sorry my valid observation regarding the truth offended you. Maybe the internet isn't for you.

    As a Chinese, i'm very shocked at how good your Chinese is. I'm so glad that you took the effort to actually learn Chinese because most people go to China, expecting them to at least know some simple English. (i mean, every where tourists go, they'd expect simple English to get them through everything) So good job man!

Great videos and love the cultural interaction you provide.Im american and you make Canada and all North Americans proud of your ability to convey "FOOD HEALS ALL" type of ambassadorship to a people that dont know our media demonises them. usa has to have enemies to keep the war machine going .Wish Trump and the leaders of the world would all follow your example and enjoy a bowl of fresh noodles with a neighbor lol.

    Hey trevor, i love your videos. I was wondering if you would consider trying a comparison type sort or Worth It style video? Like pick a really good dish and compare them at different price points? A lot of dishes are like 1 or 2 american $. You can compare it to a 5-10ish or 10-15ish. And then a really fancy like 30+$ one maybe?

      jarobi sellton that's the point... regular food costs $2-3 there. The same dish at $5-10 would mean getting it at a very posh restaurant and frankly speaking, even a billionaire there would not fork out $30 for a bowl of sui jiao as that would be absurd.

    • @ryanlehman4239
      @ryanlehman4239 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not true though. I regularly have 10 US dollar bowl of dumplings in Shenzhen. It's all about the location and how fancy the restaurant is. For dumplings, the lobster filling ones will run you a lot more expensive as well.
