Thanks buddy! We loved it, thinking of adding it to our loop to make a full days riding in the summer too, I’d have to agree on the bridge jump - not for me either 😁
@@Downhillsmoothtarmacfab, thanks for the info. Was in Thor's cave last autumn. No bike though ☹️ saw a few riders on the manifold way and wanted to come back and explore
I really like yours gravel bike videos. I’m thinking to join the gravel club( im from Kent) I have option to buy the CDA 10 but found Genesis Croix De Fer 20 2023 model on a sale for a £999. Do you think is worth to add the extra ££ to get the higher model? Again I’m not a pro but have so many hills around me and want to get a decent bike to have for few years. Any suggestions would be appreciated!
Thanks very much dude, in my opinion, if you can afford the croix de fer 10, I’d go for it at that money - that’s a serious bit of bike for £1000, they steel frame will be more comfortable and compliant too. I plan to move my CDA on soon and go for a croix de fer series of videos eventually too!
@ thank you so much for the replay. Really appreciate it, as don’t have any friends around me who have any clue about bicycle and I really wanna get into it. Croix de fer 10 vs Croix de fer 20 - Shimano Sora 9 speed vs Shimano Grx 10 speed . CdF10 £830 vs CdF20 £999 What about the group set? I know you have upgraded your CDA but if you will have a choice to get a CdF would you choose the grx version ? I don’t have a clue if that extra speed will give me anything 😅 but how I said I have hills around, so would be nice to get a better one but not so sure if is worth to pay the extra £130 to get the cdF 20. Unfortunately I have only two bike shops near me and none of them dealing with genesis bikes.
@kubajuraszek5817 no problem at all, happy to help, if you can stretch to the GRX groupset, go for it - it’s gravel specific and excellent quality. However Sora 9 speed is rock solid and reliable but is a road/gravel groupset. Other than the different groupsets, the frame will be the same of course, and the finishing kit like bars and stem wouldn’t be different either
@kubajuraszek5817 just adding my thoughts on the CDF. I had one and sorry, I hated it. It was such a heavy frame and made the bike not enjoyable to ride at all. I upgraded the groupset, wheels, discs, shifters and yet still found it such a sluggish ride. I ended up stripping everything off it and threw the frame in the skip! I’m just building up a Sonder Camino gravel bike and by all the reviews it’s going to be a great bike. Hope you get sorted whatever you pick 👍🏼
Great video! Lovely to see you enjoying the route and nice to get another perspective on it. Not sure about the Mapleton bridge jump though!

Enjoyed that and thanks for sharing the gpx file 👍🏼
Thanks man, hope you get out there and try the route!!
Looks fun, will give this a try. Thanks for the GPX 👍
Let me know what you think! If you want to join us for a Peak District loop at any point shout up!!
@@Downhillsmoothtarmacthat would be fun! How's that route ATM? Might tackle it in early Feb
@ukgravelco it’s a good year round route, no issues at the moment!

You’ll love it, don’t forget to stop at the manifold junction tea room!!
I think the music is getting better Geoff suits the videos now I think.
Thanks JC, went for a mellow country flavour on this one!..
