Love it! It’s great when the local people are kind and friendly. Great tip for having an extra long extension cord. We have one for our hotel rooms for when there is only on socket! The monastery was beautiful. Love all the driving and the music was perfect! Thanks for Taking us along!
Long time viewer, first time commentator. Great job Chris on the drone footage, it adds so much to your already informative and entertaining show. Thanks for sharing and keep treading on!
Good Morning from Colorado (USA). Such lovely footage. Georgia is such an interesting and beautiful country, and you all did a wonderful job capturing it. I loved the views from the drone.
I am not religious and I am an animal lover. Everyone who has a conscience and loves nature should respect and not harm the living things around them. Thank you for your sensitivity 🤘😍💚
Love that type of breakfast with wine and hard liquor 😂😂😂 getting vitamins early in the morning Cool monastery, kinda reminded me of Meteora but obviously smaller.
We spent two months in Georgia this summer and while there are lots of dogs, we never saw any starving ones. Hungry, but not starving. In fact, most of them looked pretty well fed and even the poorest people gave them food. The government has apparently been working on containing the surplus of dogs in the country for years but, from what we saw, people and dogs seem to co-exist pretty well.
Hi Yes we saw lots of dogs in lots of different states .... lots in a good way, generally in cities and towns, but once you got out to the more rural areas and on the side of the long roads .... it was tragic - We chose not to show examples of this is not something our channel does, and it is not helpful either - but we have spoken to a few people since this video and we are understanding the situation a bit better now. Neutering and spaying is the only way to get this under control and with only 2 animal shelters doing their bit, but like everything it comes down to money and priorities - We are glad you enjoyed Georgia too 👍🚐💜
The sad thing is that here in the UK there has been a shortage of dogs to such an extent that they are being stolen. Here in Suffolk 2 months or so ago the police found 80 stolen dogs in one place and have since been trying to find their owners. The rescue centres are however worried that once the pandemic is really over there will be a glut of unwanted dogs. Hopefully not.
I'm enjoying following your further adventures in Georgia. Unfortunately, history has taught us that pious people are not necessarily kind people, and the Georgians' lack of regard for their dogs is a fitting example of this. Hopefully your poignant, heart-wrenching remarks don't fall on deaf ears there.
In Georgia, all dogs are vaccinated and sterilized, everyone has a nickname on their ear, in Tbilisi and Batumi there is free food for dogs, there is no such humane treatment of dogs anywhere in neighboring countries, in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Russia and Turkey there is no such things.
@@Gillby47 There are a lot of cats in Istanbul and thats why, we do not have cats in Georgia, we have dogs and we keep a record of these dogs. And by the way, Georgia is religious, because it has always been surrounded by large Islamic empires, but still managed to defend its faith, today there is neither the Ottoman Empire nor the Persian Empire, they have disappeared, but Georgia exists.
The starving dogs are there because they are notkilled like in most countries. The reason you don't see starving dogs in Copenhagen is because stray dogs are killed very quickly and efficiently over there. Before the pandemic the starving stray animals weren't so starving; but the absence of people on the streets for a year has devestated the stray population as people were the ones feeding and watering them.
Chacha is not wodka, more resemble to rakia, grappa and so. Think you had home made one. Can go from 40% to even 70% alcohol. Gives you dragon breath in the morning and strenght of 10 man. And even been 4 times to SARKATHVELO, Georgia original name, i see new things, find new places. Incredible country,
I was researching the dog problem in Georgia, seems there has been a proposal for an "Organic Law for the Protection of Pets, Population Control and Social Security" which was initiated by Parliament but has been passed over for 5 years due to lack of funds. What has compounded the problem is COVID and low number of tourists who would feed dogs as they traveled through the country. People in Georgia were abandoning their dogs for fear of transmission of COVID to the families. I have reached out to a dog activist to see if he might help or already knows of this problem. Loved the video today, thank you for sharing with us, take care!

Absolutely 100% agreed - it is not the people ... the government neutering programs are the only way to get this under control ... the animals can't do it on their own and we know there are only 2 centres in Georgia for animal shelter .... 😢

Vodka for breakfast? Are you sure that you are not in Latvia? My 92 year old uncle in Latvia has about 10 acres of sea buck thorn plants(Smilserkski in Latvian) that produce a cranberry like fruit that has many uses, including the manufacture of schnapps.
