Great video! We went over Imogene Pass on GSAs a few days after you. It was an incredible experience that I was not able to capture on video. Watching you guys really brings back how great it was. Thanks!
I don't know, but man, all I can say is "You made that look easy!" I'm gonna be trying it next week on my 1190AdventureR. I hope I look as relaxed at the end of it as you did! Love it when you gave the trail runner a ride. Good on you!
What a difference 10 days makes! We went on July 22, 2014 and we didn't see all that water and melt you had to deal with. By the time we went it was 80degF in Telluride and over 50degF at the summit. You did well with those heavier Adventure bikes with the bags. I don't think I could pick one up if I went down. Very cool picking up the hiker to take him across the water. Nice. great video.. I have a question.. how is this road now.. me and my friend we are driving from Chattanooga TN and we were thinking to drive this road and Ophir Pass.. do u have a good advice?? and thank you
I don't think that Imogene Pass is open yet, it may be a couple more weeks. By mid-July it should be open, these mountains got a LOT of snow last Winter! Check for updates on the trails here - www.bushducks.com/tripreps/passopen.htm Ophir is fun, too... you can start from Silverton, go over Ophir to Telluride and over Imogene to Ouray. Good luck!
This video was from last Saturday, July 12th. Temps were warm in town, nice in the mountains and chilly at the summit of Imogene.... glad you enjoyed it!
