Gave some of the selfie gestures a go on my Pulse like the peace sign gesture in the camera app-makes snapping selfies a snap!

Stock android + UniSoc T606 just works best for daily use. Mine moto e13 with 2/64 is just giving better usability. This one have 4 gigs ram.

@typicaltechlad I got a few screen protectors for the samsung s22 for free so i thought that i should upgrade to the S22 from the oppo A57it's been gettjng slower with every update its not broken just slow, do you think i should wait till the new EU laws are updated? (laws about replaceable batteries and right to repair)

You’re welcome. And yes definitely good to see OS upgrades at this price point, but processor does let the phone down unfortunately, 100% as a back up/second phone it would suffice

I got my son G14 its epic for the price and you can boost to 8gb ram he has lots of games and has 10+ apps open and still works flawlessly. I have edge 30 ultra wanting edge 50 ultra.

I have a Nokia G10 that I bought for my son as a temporary phone. It has a very similar spec to the HMD Pulse. The processor on both phones is slow but not unusable. Having a slow processor is actually an advantage because with a slow processor battery life is in the G10 an industry beating 3 days. Another feature which help improve the battery life in both phones is a large display which hides a huge battery. The battery life in both phones is also helped by its LCD display rather than an OLED display.
I think that the similarly specified new HMD Vibe is a better buy because it has a much better Snapdragon 680 processor. Unfortunately the HMD Vibe is only available in America.
So are these what we normally know as being Nokia ?

I recomand a G42 5G over this. Kosts 200eur at the moment but has a faster cpu and is more fun to use. Still no phone for gaming, but enough for the rest.
Better go for G42 since it's a Snapdragon powered phone

Yes. My partner's parents are in their late 80s and they both have iPhones. They're always on WhatsApp and facetime.
HMD had started very poorly.
I thought they'd be more Nokia phones possibly bearing the new Nokia logo. Disappointing. I saw from few articles and videos that these hmd phones have terrible cameras.
I was a fan of HMD Nokia around 2018, they were pretty great around that time and I was hoping they'll make Nokia relevant again.
Then they announced they'll no longer making flagship phone in 2020, ended their partnership with Carl Zeiss in 2021, making a phone with 5 year old unisoc sc9863 and micro usb charging port in 2022, and finally announced no more Nokia branded smartphone starting 2024.
As for this HMD Pulse, I see no reason to buy them over Nokia G22. Basically the same phone with same gimmick... repairability means nothing if the phone itself not worth to fix after 2 year.
Sorry for my rant, I'm just very disappointed with HMD.
Also...most people will still take their phone to a technician anyway. I doubt anyone will be able to repair it themselves
