Low conditional sur le cou-de-pied is used in battements battu (usually in combination with petits Battements or frappes). High is for pirouettes sur le cou-di-pies when you first start learning, for example from 2nd or 5th position. Both regarding Vaganova’s method.
I had no idea how to do sur le cou de pied derriere until you demonstrated it. Eureka moment. Thank you!
