Snow white cupcakes would be perfect for Christmas, weddings, baby showers, and baptism parties. Thanks Sam. I agree on the almond extract, I hear professional bakers use it in their sugar cookies along with the vanilla. ☺️💖🙏🏻✝️🇺🇸
These were delicious! 🩷🧁💥 I could easily eat two of them, lol, but stopped at one, which wasn't easy! Thank you for having notes on using all purpose flour, that is what I used and they turned out great. I omitted the almond extract and added half a cup of sweetened coconut to the batter, and coconut extract to the frosting recipe, just for a fun twist. They are perfect, light and fluffy. Sam, you sure have a gift with creating these recipes. 😊Thank you so much for sharing, my husband loves anything I make from your recipes, and I do too! 🩷
I'm so glad you enjoyed them so much! I'm also very impressed that you stopped at one! That is some incredible self control! I'm very happy to hear that everything has been such a success. :)
Hi Sugar Spun Run, I have been watching your utube videos for a couple of years which I absolutely Enjoy and Love! I would love to make a double batch of these. Shall I double the recipe? They look delicious!❤❤❤❤
Thank you so much! It is a conventional oven, with the option for convection, but I always give the instructions based on a conventional oven, unless otherwise specified. :)
Your leavening agents (baking soda, baking powder) may be expired. I've gotten in the habit of replacing them every year when I'm buying supplies for holiday baking (because I never remember to check the dates until after my cakes don't rise properly). Over mixing can cause a it of a gooey texture. Sam may have a better answer for you. I'm just sharing from experiences I've had :)

My favorite thing about cupcakes is the frosting on the top
That's the best part, right?! :)

Thank you! :)
Hi Sam, beautiful and delicious recipe! May I ask if your oven conventional or convection?
Thank you so much! It is a conventional oven, with the option for convection, but I always give the instructions based on a conventional oven, unless otherwise specified. :)
Congratulations ❤on baby!!!
Thank you! 😊
Sam, Quick question - is there a pure clear vanilla extract or are they all artificially flavored? Having trouble finding pure. Thanks!
They’re all artificial unfortunately. I discuss it in more detail on the blog if that’s helpful!
Sugar Spun, aside from the obvious price difference, what's your take on pure vanilla extract vs imitation?
America's Test Kitchen has done a taste test between the two. You may find their results helpful.
Imitation definitely has a different taste to it so it really depends what your ultimate flavor goal is. :)
Congratulations Sam on the new baby, are you having a boy or a girl? ❤
Thank you! It's a girl! :)
So she is pregnant well congratulations and take care now. ♥️🍼👶
Love your recipes! You look so adorable. Do you know if you are having a boy or girl?...
A girl! :) We are so excited. :)
@@SugarSpunRun so happy for you! I finally got a girl!...a granddaughter
Hi, can I use a bundt cake pan instead?
It would make a pretty small bundt cake, but it could work. I'm not sure on a bake time.
Could you use sour cream?
I wouldn't really recommend it. It doesn't really work as a 1-1 substitute. :(
Can anyone recommend a good neutral avocado oil brand?
I use "Chosen" brand in my own kitchen. :)
Your cakes always seem to turn out perfect but no color on the top of the baked cake, why is that?
These are designed to be a nice white cupcake. :)
How old is she?
This is a lot like a chiffon cake…
I may try this ,but im the worlds worst at making cake or cupcakes ,last on I made was flat and gooey? Gross

It could be a bad leavening agent or over-mixing, but if it's gooey it may just have needed more time to bake. :)
Paula Deen cooks better than her.
